“fund for late delivery is no Good although they have low prices, their deliveries are never on time. And a R 20 refund for delayed delivery is no money. Probably so low because everybody outside of the country gets late delivery.
They give free delivery, yes, but you pay vat and import fees. And again customs fees when arriving in South Africa. You bargain to get your order in time for events you host and never get it on time.”
“Is temu really provide free gifts?? As they allow to purchase it first and I was doing the same but when I checked my cart it's not showing it. And I really don't know about the quality of those products are they good can some help me on this.”
“I ordered 2 sets of cups and only received one set, but they marked down that I received both orders, what they don't know is I have cameras on my porch, this is the third time I've had a problem with ordering something from them. Just as well as them saying you have free items but you have to spend money in order to get the free items. After they refund me I'm not ordering anything else from them.”
“I ordered several items from this company. The order came late and several items were damaged or missing parts. I returned the items for a refund but was denied said refund as temu said they didn't receive the returns even though I have a receipt from Canada post. After several unsuccessful emails the company ghosted me. Next step small claims court. Buyer beware.”
“I have been purchasing from temu for a few years. My last couple of purchases I felt the need to double check the total price. LET ME WARN EVERYONE!! CHECK YOUR TOTAL BEFORE PURCHASING. TEMU ADDS MONEY TO THE TOTAL PRICE AND IT DOES NOT ADD UP TO 2+2=4”
“I was charged for an order that was never processed by temo. The customer service representative tried to place blame on me, arguing that my connection failed, when it was clearly a glitch in their system. While speaking to him he suddenly fell silent and disconnected the call.”
“Temu refused to provide store credit for defective items, despite EU Directive 2011/83, which states that return is not required for non-compliant goods. My case has been escalated to ECC Cyprus. I received only automated replies and no proper resolution. Be cautious if you're an EU customer — your rights may be ignored.
This case has also been documented and submitted with full evidence to the European Consumer Centre for formal mediation.”
“I received items I did not order, they don't even show in my orders. 2 rings and tree ornaments, I did not order. Hope I'm not being charged for these. Never had a problem before now.”
“Temu operates as if it assumes every buyer is gullible or uninformed. Its marketing relies heavily on flashy gimmicks and exaggerated discounts designed to lure customers into buying products that are often little more than junk. The overall quality of the items sold is frequently substandard, and the platform is rife with misleading product images that have clearly been digitally enhanced or manipulated. Many listings grossly misrepresent the actual appearance, function, and durability of the goods. This kind of deceptive practice isn’t just disappointing — it’s downright infuriating. Temu’s approach feels less like commerce and more like a digital bait-and-switch. It’s a deeply frustrating experience for anyone who values honesty, transparency, and quality.”
“It’s getting more expensive than Amazon. I found the exact same product on Amazon for $10 cheaper. Also, most products are now marked as shipped locally which means paying $3 shipping fee unless you buy $30 worth products from the same seller. Multiple sellers- multiple shipping fees.
Its getting to a point where it feels like cheating”
“Was so disappointed with my first order I sent for shoes and they were wrong size so tiny for children
Have refund so tried again
Hope they will be ok”
“Temu used to be a good deal for the money spent. NOT that way now! Say it however you want to. Temu used to be “ no middle man”. Products came straight to your mailbox from china. 1/3 of the price here in the USA. Not the case now! Everything mostly is “local” . Added shipping cost and the prices went up also. So called local companies get the savings now that you used to get. The product still comes from China but is marketed through “local”. The middle man came back into play. It was good while it lasted.”
“My first order was a bed frame. The bed frame was delivered and stolen off.My porch, I clearly have a note stating.Do not leave packages unless I sign. They're refusing to give me my money back”
“I ordered a fire pit from Temu, after ordering the fire pit, Temu said notices saying that it was on its way. After 3 weeks I got a notice that fire pit was discontinued. They have never refunded me my money. I have wrote their customer service and kept getting the run around.”
