Abid was good, the online system is awful. Timed out too quick, paid £120 booked 2hrs, then it sucked up the remaining 2hrs & I couldn't book another lesson. After going back forth email, email links, phone etc had to log complaint to try & sort it. Carry on treating people like this, your making money doing nothing.... not on!!! Looked @ other reviews & similar complaints: book online, pay up front & take your chance...this is another BIG name company gone digital; not nice experience when ripped off like this 2 days before son sits his test want to do some extra driving as advised. SORRY,you are driving us round cyber bend.

My daughter was taking lessons with AA but her instructor had some personal issues so couldn’t carry on. They found a new instructor who cancelled on the day of the lesson. Eventually booked a 2 hr lesson with yet another AA instructor. The instructor shouted at her 3 times within the first 10 minutes for making mistakes to the point that she got him to drop her home and came in crying! Have tried to get through to AA about this but they don’t answer the phone and say use the online chat. Online they were very unhelpful and refused a refund. So she is 18 years old, trying her best to get driving and AA have taken £60 of her money (a whole weeks money for her) and refusing to acknowledge the issue. Avoid!

I asked to be heard out and try to understand where I was coming from. The driving instructor was awful and treated me terribly and there was a lot of issues because of it. The lesson never happened in the end and I was scammed out of £50 because of it. The instructor was very rude and blunt towards me, his reactions towards everyting was veyr harsh and told me I was probably going to fail my theory test. He was blunt and totally spoke down and belitted a potential student, but then I went ahead and actually passed my theory test with flying colours on the first attempt, so who is he to say that about someone and treat someone with such disrespect, what kind of teacher is that? I don't have much money and I had to spend a ton more, my mental health is unstable and it caused me a lot of anxiety and depression. I was trying to contact management and customer service over and over again and they were very abrupt with me and didn't care at all what I had to say. I never write bad reviews but I had to because this has really agitated and taken a massive toil on me. If you are looking for a kind driving instructor and kind customer service, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, come here.

Had a test booked. The driving instructor cancelled the day before so not only did I not do my test I lost my money aswell. Proceeded to then ring and shout at me during the day all because he didn’t want to get up early. Didn’t do much for my confidence has he’s told me it was my own fault why I failed the first test. He’s now cancelled all my lessons, told me to find another instructor. Shouted yet again and then put the phone down. He was always late for lessons so I never had a full two hour slot.

Booked my sons first driving lesson with The AA driving school with an instructor called Matthew Myers. My son is autistic and I’ve waited 2 years to get his driving licence due to DVLA process and delays so yesterday (Sat 4th March) was a big day for him which we had worked hard to prepare him for. He was excited and nervous about his first lesson. Matthew was due at 5pm so we were all ready and waiting for him at 16:50, shoes on, licence ready. By 5:10 he hadn’t arrived. I wasn’t worried as with traffic, roadworks etc in my experience instructors can be late but I telephoned him just to check he was on his way. No answer. I tried again, no answer. Maybe he can’t pick up I thought so I waited 5 more minutes and then text him. I got a response saying he had left as we had not arrived for the lesson. We had not arrived, we were there, at our house, ready and waiting. He said he gave people 5 minutes and then left. I tried to call him again, still no answer so I text asking him to come back as we had paid and booked him from 5pm till 7pm. He refused because he had decided after 5 minutes of waiting in the wrong place for my sons lesson to bring his other lesson forward. We asked him to come back after the lesson he had decided to bring forward, ie swap the lesson around. He refused and gave us a barrage of ressons including stating we weren’t a priority, he had other pupils with tests next week and he was driving all over Solihull, Bromsgrove, Alcester so he wouldn’t be back. Appalling first experience with the AA and appalling way to treat a new student with learning disabilities. Going to wrong place, leaving without making contact to check he was in the right place, trying to blame us for not being there. Failing to pick up calls when telephoned four times but able to respond to texts!!!!! And worst of all no apology or awareness of customer service. Cleatly this instructor had no respect for his customers or the AA brand. I would avoid at all costs

This man ( Shana Gladmore)doesn’t deserve to be a driving instructor. Very rude and disrespectful. He was shouting at me like a kid. Telling me you will be pass you test but I passed with only 4 minors without any instructor’s help. He really dumped my spirit on that day. He took my money and didn’t refund the full amount. Shana is very unprofessional and everyone should avoid him.

My experience was great. I passed 5 years ago. My instructor was brilliant. However now my partner is learning and booking is ridiculous. The price is mental these days but having to put down the money before you can see any avalible slots and instructors being given so many students that the next slot you find when you can afford it is a month or more ahead. The lesson practically becomes revision especially when we don't have a car for her to practice in. This kind of makes the booking fees seem higher. Give priority. Help people pass don't just take their money.

The drivers associated with AA are cowboys! They do not know the routes. They won’t teach you with navigation, where 9 out of 10 tests are by navigation. They would shout at you and swear at you. When you complaint to the AA they just say there is no way for us to investigate and you have lost all your money. Very very poor driving school, please avoid.

I had 7 2 hour lessons and only went around a practice route for learners for 6/7 lessons. I found a new instructor and have learnt so much more! I requested a refund for unused hours and I am still waiting for the money! I advise you to go with a well experienced driving instructor who actually uses their dual controls!!

I urge you, PLEASE DO NOT BOOK with a Vanessa Domanski (North London). Booked and paid in advance for 10 hours way back in 2021. In the whole 18 months I only had ONE 2 hour lesson. Constant cancellations after cancellations virtually always on the day. As customers we would be penalised if we were to cancel without a 48 notice but for the instructors they can cancel whenever they please with no consequences. My instructor was unreliable and unprofessional who didn’t seemed fazed or apologetic one bit when I requested a refund. I made a complaint on the 6th Jan and had a complaint specialist confirm my refund. To this day I’m still chasing my refund. I emailed her again, no reply. I then contacted The AA live chat. It turns out my card details were no longer on their system because I booked way back in 2021 so I needed to provide them my card details again. I needed to wait another 5 working days. Refund still not received. Contacted live chat again. I’m now told it could take up to 15 days. I emailed the complaint specialist again, no reply. Diabolical! I had 18 precious months of mine wasted not to mention my money. The instructor was a total windup who did not give a monkey with treating her students the way she did. The AA has been one terrible experience.

I had my driving lessons with Jason and it was a very bad experience. He makes you feel bad when you make a mistake to the point that I had to take a break from driving. The atmosphere in the car was horrible. I decided to change the driving school and I feel much better during my lessons.

I booked my grandson lessons with AA as his previous instructor kept cancelling, going on holiday or his wife was unfortunately not well. So me being old school thought AA was always good when I was young so I’ll pay for his lessons on line as you do… Well what a shame. I feel I’ve let him down. He had a few lessons in May and June then his instructor ( whom he liked very much and really respected said he didn’t need much more but to do his theory and come back. Which I though was really good of him instead of just taking his money. Anyway he managed to pass his theory 2nd time which was October. So he went back online to book lessons and the earliest was December so he booked and it got cancelled.. this happened 7 times. Just a text or email to say it was cancelled no reason and sone in the morning of the lesson so days lost from work. My grandson text him and said can you tell me why you keep cancelling my lessons he said he was busy, but if he was busy why are they on there???? Anyway we are still trying to get £124 back there is no customer service line to speak to anyone and basically if people put money on the account for birthdays and presents the money goes back to them and my grandson is not going to phone uncles and aunts and ask for his money. It’s disgusting and he has wasted nearly a year with AA and apart from really liking his instructor this was such a bad experience. The live chat kept disappearing we also tried to book other instructors and phoning is a definite No as it tells you to go into website x OLD school this definitely is not.

My instructor ripped me off, dropping me off 15 minutes early, stopping the car all the time to tell me the same things all over again, hardly letting me practice. If you live in Tamworth do not use them!

I had three lessons with an instructor (after the first one was cancelled with literally 10 minutes notice) who just had me drive up and down a short back road endlessly and didn't give any specific feedback about what I was doing right or wrong. The one time we did drive onto a main road, he gave no warning that we were about to do it then said afterwards, "You're not ready for that yet," but again didn't give any explanation about what I'd done wrong. He also encouraged me to speed in a 20mph zone. I complained and requested a change of instructors. I got no response to my complaint for four months despite repeatedly chasing it up. Eventually I requested my remaining credit back and even then it took further chasing through their live chat to get this actioned. Very dissatisfied with AA's customer service - my driving lessons have been delayed for half an year as a result. Do not recommend.

Peter Ballock was a very unprofessional instructor: racist, vulgar, he made horrible comments during my lessons making me feel very uncomfortable. I regretted spending money to have lessons with him and I would suggest to avoid The AA school unless you already know and trust the instructor. Read reviews before making any bookings!

Website is faulty They take money out of your account without sending you a booking confirmation. It’s then really difficult to contact the company and they take up to 10 days to refund you. Be careful!

Whatever you do, do not book Adrian Joseph. He is extremely unprofessional on so many levels and made several inappropriate comments during my first and last lesson with him. I raised a complaint, they did an investigation he admitted what was said however AA driving school did not refund me. Absolutely disgusting!
