I cannot recommend the sideboard I purchased, although I was initially excited to receive it and it is a beautiful piece of furniture. The top is made from oak veneer, like many of the furniture items from the Cotswold Co. Unfortunately, I have since learnt that wood veneer is very easy to damage and can be prone to scratching and water damage especially, so not ideal for everyday use. I had the bad luck of a water mark on my sideboard a few months after I purchased it and after contacting the Cotswold Co’s “replacement parts” section, was told they were unable to sell me a replacement veneer top and advised me to contact a furniture repair shop instead - I contacted several and all quotes were more than what I paid for the sideboard, the process also did not seem easy or straightforward. Frustratingly this left me with little choice but to have to purchase another sideboard altogether (and they aren’t cheap at around £399). My sideboard was only a few months old and in immaculate condition apart from the water mark on the top and I resented having to replace the entire thing because the wood veneer was so costly and tricky to fix, and I wasn’t allowed to purchase a replacement top for it. Please be warned if you choose to purchase any furniture with a wood veneer top that it can be prone to damage - and difficult and expensive to fix.

Ordered from here a number of times and it always takes much longer than they say. Currently waiting on an order that was due in June, 10 days ago they told me mid to late August and just got an email saying end of September. Having ordered in March this is ridiculous. All they ever do is apologise, I’ve never had any kind of compensation.

Two companies in one Cotswold company and oak solutions. I found the delivery side a nightmare stupid system of tx answers then they say you not responded and don’t deliver ontime they use Kinetic logistics they are a nightmare you can’t phone them only email them there tracking doesn’t work all in all would never recomend Oak solutions or Cotswold company as they can’t delivery on delivery

It’s 8pm on delivery day for my bed and the slot was between 1 and 4 pm. Tried ringing the delivery firm number 4 times but it just rings out. Live chatted with the Cotswold Company at 4.30 and they said they couldn’t contact the delivery van but couldn’t see that they were having any problems via their website. I have no bed, I’m 63 and I’m going to have to sleep on the sofa. Not impressed to say the least.

3 months late and no handles I’ve been very patient waiting for my order, around 3 months. Finally the items arrived recently. The cupboards have no handles and the mat on top of the shoe cupboard is dirty. Tried contacting customer services but either no reply, or very unhelpful. I don’t know why I need to provide more photos and evidence than just clearly showing the missing handles. Why would I order thousands of pounds of furniture, have most of it delivered, and then pretend that 2 cupboards are missing handles. What would be in it for me? Just bizarre to treat customers like this. I’m just going to have to return them after 3 months of waiting.

I am so disappointed with the products and customer service of The Cotswold Company. Please do not buy from them, buy locally. There brand does not reflect their service or products. We spend thousands of pounds on a bedroom set of furniture. Everything arrived fully assembled except for the large wardrobe. I did not think I was buying from IKEA. I called customer service who were rude and arrogant, dismissive.I wish I had bought local. They just don't care. Soo disappointed. Done but from them.

This company by far is the worse company I have dealt with in years, I ordered a coffee table early December with a 2 week lead time, 4 weeks later I started to contact them to try and find out were it was. I was then told it was in there warehouse, and needed some paperwork before it was dispatched, about a week they said. I gave them 2 and still no show, I contacted them again they then said it would be middle of Feb, I said yes I can wait as long as there are no more delays, but that date came went. contacted them again, they said another 2 weeks, again nothing, this went on and on, till I finally got a delivery day which was yesterday. and as you can guess it never showed, contacted again they now say the 9th march. They will never keep you informed on what is happening, they will give dates and nothing will happen. The customer service side is completely useless, all they do is apologise, never actually solve your issue. I have spent hours on live chats, phone calls always chasing them, taking days of work waiting for phantom deliveries, and never getting anywhere with them. They are by a country mile the worst company out there. There is no communication, no one to solve issues, or give actual dates that they will honour. Please Please take my advise, do not buy anything from this company, they will take your money, and make a simple process a living hell.

Very unimpressed with the Cotswold co. Only ordered 1 item, a Ashwicke meme board. wrong title for product, its not ash its chipboard, with a thin layer of Cork on top.,no screws or fitments sent with it, no notification of delivery sent. no answer to email, not invoice sent to notify me of return details. £40 this item was, 40p!! would be more appropriate, Its gone in the bin.

Customer Service has dropped massively!!! They connect to your chat message and then ask you to wait as they are on the phone to another customer!!! Rude and unhelpful, with lack of product knowledge! They don't value your custom and are happy to lose regular customers! I have purchased a couple of times and was looking to purchase a Bed, Mattress, TV Unit and Sideboard, but will be going elsewhere due to the poor customer service!! I have cancelled a recent order which was due for delivery next week. Such a shame when you try a support small businesses and they clearly don't care about your custom!

Dreadful experience. After ordering over £1000 worth, I tried to then order another item to new address. Told I couldn't until I proved I lived there. My point that I had paid for the item so can have it delivered anywhere I wish fell on deaf ears and the whole conversation turn into a Monty Python sketch. Cancelled all orders and that's when the "fun" really began! Long story short, I had to chase every week to get my refund which came back in drips and drabs. I strongly suggest you are not fooled by the lovely website and suggest you look around. Awful experience.

Chest of drawers delivered damaged so awaiting a replacement item which we have heard nothing about also the original item is sitting in our living room taking up most of the space again no word from anyone about when this is going to get picked up. trying to get through on the phone is a joke hanging 15 mins then cut off. Customer service is non existent again another example of a company happy enough to take your money but not interested if there is a problem with an item of furniture.

Order was delivered 3 weeks later than originally agreed. One large item was damaged and one of two bedside tables were not delivered.. this means we have an unfinished, weird looking set. Customer service is non existent. Initially promised to partially refund for damaged item, but not follwed through. Missing item has been completely ignored. This is theft. We are around £200 out of pocket. Disgusting company. Have reported to Ombudsman. Steer clear. Furniture is nice and well made, but in no way makes up for the terrible service

Arranged for bed to be delivered we were last drop off and guys came with half a bed... spoke to someone on chat who apologised and then no further communication as we were waiting on logistics and courier . To sort out between them where the other half of bed had gone..Forward a week then I received a message from courier saying bed was arriving next day still nothing from Cotswold..Another day of work and again half a bed .aftwr complaining again to Cotswold I Applied threw PayPal for refund And only then I was phoned and emailed to apologise and offered another delivery of a bed to be sent and once received then I could phone customer services and see about a little offer... no just give me a refund as I hadn’t had a bed for almost 2 weeks ..yes I can get my refund but it could take up to 14 days then depending on my bank how long it would take to go threw... Thank you PayPal I was refunded in 5 days...My recommendation is don’t use this company as once they have ure money they are not interested...

I am having a terrible time trying to have a very faulty item replaced, it is a large cupboard - very badly damaged - installed wrongly and is now taking up much of my small kitchen and blocking our back door. I am shielding elderly folk and this is patently unsafe. I have called with no joy, no reply, endless on hold and the live feed cuts out. I have had a reply but am now waiting for a safe replacement and call from the delivery company to assure me it will all be done before we go away. \This is the most terrible customer service I have ever received. Previously several friends had recommended them but they seem to have fallen apart. I am writing to the MD CEO etc but I need this unsafe situation resolved and i am very unconfident and fearful that it won't be sorted safely.

I took receipt of the Large Larder unit, after unwrapping the item, I have found that there is paint missing on one of the legs which is really disappointing In addition to this, i am very upset and angry that the delivery drivers pushed the box through the french doors rather than tipping the box on its side, which therefore has damaged the top and side of my doors and has perished the seal. We have only just moved into our new property, i am disgusted by their shoddy attitude to customers property.

Had previously bought items from this company with no problems, but since March this year something has gone terribly wrong. You wait weeks for replies to emails, no one answers the phone, every time I have received a delivery the item has been damaged and has to be returned, have now been waiting 3 months for a replacement as original was damaged and the delivery date keeps getting pushed back all the time. One item was sent out knowing it was damaged and I was offered a discount when I tried to return it. Demanded a replacement to be told "we don't have any more and the item has been discontinued" which is deceitful. Really unhappy at the moment.

In March I ordered 2 desks and had great customer service. On the basis of this I ordered several more items in June and it has been like dealing with a completely different company. They have turned off their phones so you cannot speak to them. The delivery was a month later than promised which caused me huge problems. The bed which was finally delivered is missing a slat. I have tried phoning to no avail. I have sent 3 emails all of which have been ignored. I really do not know what to do now. It is impossible to speak to anyone and they ignore emails. I got one response which said the case had been closed? With no other response? Something dreadful has happened at this company - it has completely changed.

Do not buy from this company! I am so so disappointed with the after sales care, I have purchased many items from this company. Some of the furniture I purchased at the start if the year has started to crack. I spent many hours trying to get through to someone, eventually I did and was referred to a company called Homeserve for the repair work to be carried out. I was led to believe that they would carry out the work, had a visit from a Homeserve technician only to be told he did not have the paint. I was advised that another appointment will be booked, didn’t hear anything back from Homeserve for a few days. So I called them a few times got told various different messages. Eventually today I was told that Homeserve will not be doing anything until Cotswold & Co give them further instructions and that they were originally sent out to investigate the cause of damage! How deceitful! I have made attempts to speak with Cotswold & Co via live chat and phone today...currently on hold! Order ref is 1965148 can someone please call me! This is shocking that a company such as Cotswold & Co have such cowboy aftersales service!
