W11739099-1MV Miss leading information & description. Warning they are not the same Range we loved & trusted and I will avoid them in future. W11739099-1MV I searched for battery powered quad bikes ordered 2 quad bikes 199864 for my granddaughters Xmas based on the picture which showed that it had a heavy duty rocker switch giving the impression that it was fully powered, I am 74 and have sight problems and acted on "Prima Facia" as I searched for a powered unit on my phone and my daughter completed the order when I received them the "switch" was only a sticker. The site advertised free returns to store with full peace of mind. The customer service refused to let me do this even though this was the basis of my contract with the purchase. I have returned them as a misleading distance selling issue which is my statuary right to do. They have charged me £5 return Fee. I sent a letter to the office of the CEO and nobody has had the decency to reply to me or to 2 e-mails I sent. They say that it is a Range+ partner sale but Range is acting as the retailer and under the sale of goods and services act it is their responsibility fo the accuracy of their adherence to this and the range is offering free returns via shop which means the Range information is miss-leading. There customer service refused to give me the details to contact the supplier direct. It is no goog asking me to contact Customer service again as I already spoke to a person called Peodor who I found to be rude and aggressive and every time I called I got a different foreign voice it was like speaking to an Indian scam centre. As the payment was to "The Range" an not their partners they are responsible for this contractual agreement. Date of experience: 17 October 2022

Check their socials, they never ever response to people, only promote their products, do a search on peoples posts and they are filled with angry complaints about poor products, missed delivery times and hours on hold on the phone trying to get it sorted, I paid for 5 day express delivery which if arrives when they say it's coming will be 14 days late.

The online service is useless and not fit for purpose! I ordered 2 ladies jackets on 7th November and was informed the delivery date was 27th November. This date was not convenient as I am going to Spain for a month on 17th November.I phoned the call centre to inform them of this situation and they told me they would cancel the order. However, a parcel was delivered on 12th but contained only one of the jackets which was the wrong size! I phoned the call centre again and was on hold for 53minutes before I got through. I explained the situation to the call handler who I could hardly understand and he was totally useless in trying to sort this out. I simply wanted an address to where I had to return the parcel which he couldn’t give me, and to cancel the other jacket. I was informed that he would have to contact the supplier, who would contact me in the next few days. I explained again, I was going away for a month and would not be here, but apparently the procedure must be followed! I am now in limbo and don’t know what to do!! Get your act together!!!

I went to the range in Southport and bought a office chair. When I got to the counter to pay for it the assistant which was a man helped me by carrying the box to my car. What a lovely friendly man he was. I have found other staff there very helpful too.

Been waiting for a refund for nearly a month, when I called customer services I was obviously upset, the lady I spoke to Tani hung up on me and said it was company policy to do this to customers

Worst customer service I have ever come across. Ordered a bed and mattress in store on the Wednesday and got told it would be with me on Tuesday. Keep receiving emails and now it’s been pushed for 3 weeks! Contacted the customer service department and they won’t speak to me and just put the phone down! I would love to know what training staff go through. Management is never available as they are not customer facing! What a joke! Moved Into a property with my daughter and she has no bed or mattress! If I knew this would be my experience, I would of never ordered! Absolute joke! Can’t even speak to anyone to get a refund!

I have visited the Range in store and never had any issues. On 30/10 I placed my order with £4.95 delivery for 2/11. My order was supposed to arrive between 18:15-17:15 - at 18:00, I checked for a delivery update and it was back at the depot - with no attempt at delivery. I rescheduled it to be dropped at my local parcel shop (which is a 20 minute drive there and back) for ASAP. It was out for delivery to the parcel shop 28/10, yet it never arrived. I called The Range, got through to an agent (wrong department of course) so I was transferred and on hold for 40 mins, never to be answered - their waiting music is also incredibly jarring! I have never ordered with DHL before, so I didn't realise I would get a follow up email (and their site was down all weekend) so I drove there on Sunday to find it had not been delivered. I was unable to reschedule due the DHL site issues, and on 31/10 it arrived at the parcel shop. I went to collect it 2/11. The condition I received my parcel in was absolutely disgusting - it looks as if the driver had ran it over then kicked it down the road into the store. Despite it saying 'fragile', the box was squashed and had 3 tears, leaving my items exposed. I just went to use one of my items (a potato masher) and it was broken, half attached, so I tried to fix it and the whole mashing plate fell off. I have now been on hold for the last 40 minute and have had no position updates for over 30 mins ,when I was caller 18, from 25. I payed for nominated day delivery to my home, which I did not receive. I wasted both my petrol and my time, driving 40 minutes to collect the parcel. And I have now wasted 80 minutes on hold, with no refund and no resolution. I am truly shocked at how terrible their choice of delivery service and the speed of their customer service is. I expect a refund for at least my postage and useless potato masher, as neither was as described.

Bought 2 items from the range but they weren't from the rang they was from the range plus, 1 item arrived which was the wrong item, and the 2nd item was faulty, ur unable to return to their shop so I've now been waiting over 2 weeks for them to collect the items for a refund and still no joy. Check if you're buying a range item or a range plus if it's the plus range stay clear it's an absolute nightmare trying to sort it when you can't return to their stores.

Everything I have ordered from the range it has been out of stock. Last time it took 3 days for them to say my order was cancelled. Quick enough to take money but not quick enough refunding

Every time I visit the local branch I find examples of stock either incorrectly priced or no price displayed for a high number of items. This has inevitability resulted in heated discussions at the till. The most common excuse is 'human error'. Given the regularity of such occurances however this is not a valid excuse. The problem lies with poor management and totally inadequate systems for ensuring legally compliant price display. Feedback forms submitted by me are totally ignored. This lot need nicking by Trading Standards. There is no doubt that due diligence standards required by pricing laws could not be met.

There are many things that went wrong even to the point I went to watchdog. Absolutely disgusting company that I will never deal with again. Even the CEO Mr A Simpkins didn’t even respond to my email and the head office staff need sacked ASAP. A woman called Emily in head office put the phone down on me. This company needs a complete new management team as the current one is not worth the company having. This company is in trouble with this level of customer care that can’t even treat a customer fairly and professionally. Will never walk in another range again or shop online. Zero stars

We ordered a Sofa and Chair that was advertised as ''Luxury Leather'' on The Range website. We paid for it but several days later we found in the small print that the sofa was actually made from 'Bonded leather' Which is known for its lack of durability and is not ''leather'' but a material made from fibers of scrap leather which are bonder together. We phoned and asked to cancel the order and obtain a refund and were told this would be OK and we would receive a refund within three to five days. This was confirmed by email in which we were told to refuse delivery if the furniture should turn up. A week or so later we had not received the refund, on phoning them we were told that because the item was ''made to order'' we could not cancel it. There is nothing on the website that states that these items are made to order. We are now in the position of having no furniture and no refund. Two points stand out to me regarding this situation one is that the item was falsely advertised as being something that it is not. Secondly that this is obviously a scam regarding the ''made to order'' get out clause where they can refuse a refund on something that is not labelled in any way on the website as a ''made to order'' item. I paid through PayPal so will be trying to obtain a refund through them. I will also be contacting trading standards in regard to the misleading description and the misuse of the distance selling laws.

Item arrived Damaged. Customer service team ridiculously slow to respond. they say you should expect a reply in 4 days and warn you that if you chase them you will go to the back of the queue. I have ordered twice from them now and both times have been a nightmare. Oh, and the order was wrong as well as damaged.

Faulty sofa collected 25 days ago, I was told a refund would be 3-5 working days…. Still nothing! Endless phonecalls to head office and I am given a different excuse every time. £129 out of pocket. Do you think they are heading for closure/ administration? That’s why they are holding onto our money???
