“I am an ex hairdresser and had iso regrowth and old foiled hair. My base is a dirty blonde around 8 level. I am so impressed with the colour I chose 7.53. Covered brilliantly over my blonde and roots ( few cheeky greys in there). Colour is even throughout. Am looking forward to see how the colour fades.”

“I was so excited to try this out to cover my grey regrowth. Service was amazing with email consultation re colour. The smell was lovely and consistency. Easy to apply. Unfortunately it did not cover my grey regrowth. It did tint it and blend it a little better but it is still quite noticeable. I don’t have resistant course grey either so I’m not sure why it didn’t work for me. I was really hoping it would and I had struck gold , but you have to try these things. I’ll give it another go as I got 2 colour tubes and see what happens then.”

“I have had so many people compliment my hair. They are so surprised when I tell them I did it myself! The depth of the colour is extraordinary yet so simple to achieve. I’m not particularly good at things like doing hair but the kit and instructions made it easy even for an inexperienced person like myself. I will always colour my hair at home now.”

“I was so excited to try the shade after reading so many positive reviews. I loved the whole process! The colour consult was friendly and easy. Delivery was fast, it comes with everything you need and the brush etc are excellent quality. I didn't have any itchiness for the first time ever dying my hair and was really happy with the colour. (Dark brown) I used the pre softener for grey hair and all my greys were covered after colouring. The shampoo and conditioner were really good too and made my hair very shiny and healthy looking. Happy to subscribe!”

“i was a bit hesitant to order an online hair colour but, after chatting with the colourist and taking the advice and ordered the Amalfi - LIGHT BLONDE. From order to delivery I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the product arrived. I took the plunge and the result was not too bad. I was able to walk out with my head held high. My new regrowth colour and the previous blond foils that had been applied almost blend perfectly into each other. I have had people comment on the shine of my hair too which is always nice. Thank you!”

“I have been using The Shade since October 2019. I changed from your normal supermarket dyes to The Shade as my hair was being ruined. After one purchase I was hooked on how full coverage, soft and shiny my hair was. I’ve used The Shade dye and bleaching kit to go lighter on my own with great success and without damage to my hair. For the price it’s definitely worth it and I love you can change the subscription with ease.”

“So happy! After years of bleaching and dying my hair every colour imaginable, my scalp became extremely sensitive. So when I decided to dye my hair black for better grey coverage (because unfortunately at 34 that’s now the scary reality!) I found that every black hair dye I tried burnt my scalp. While I did have some minor irritation with The Shade Black, it was nothing like any other dye I have tried. And the coverage is amazing! So dark and even! Plus the barrier oil is super helpful! I highly recommend this hair dye!”

“Really impressed with the email consultation service, ordering process, delivery service and the at-home dye kit supplies! Sadly, the actual shade of the colour I ordered (San Remo) was atrocious and in no way resembles what it should have. It was supposed to lighten by hair to an ash blonde, but instead it made my hair a revolting caramel-ginger colour that looks fake and sickening. So unhappy with the colour, it pretty much ruined my hair! After leaving my hair to relax for a few weeks I chose to dye over the top of my awful hair colour with what appears to be a lovely, natural brown shade (Siena). Once again, bitterly disappointed with the colour - it looks absolutely nothing like what it is supposed to...instead of a lovely natural brown it is SUPER dark - almost black - with a really strong and fake-looking berry colour undertone. What the hell?!”

“I admit the idea of a subscription and locking into hair colour was unusual.... But the more I thought about it, the more it made sense! I loved my first go at colouring with this brand. I previously used a natural hair colour because of a sensitive scalp, no issues with the shade and it gives an even beautiful depth of colour... Good coverage of my brunette and grey hair and I am definitely continuing with my subscription 😊 highly recommend!”

“I'm converted! I decided to give this a go during COVID restrictions after years of getting my hair coloured at salons. I picked The Shade because of the omission of chemicals. I'm blown away by the results. The colour is gorgeous - definitely looks like I've had it done professionally. My hair is shiny and no scalp irritation. Also no colour run off after initial application. And the cost saving is huge. No going back for me.”
