“I received my first order this week! I have never coloured my hair my self so I was really apprehensive but I loved the Chocolate Blonde!! Exactly the colour I have been looking for since going dark after being blonde my whole life! I decided to only freehand brush it through so I still had some lighter tones and I am thrilled! What a lovely colour, the conditioner smelt amazing and really softened my hair up after washing out the colour.”

“Really straightforward application. First time I’ve done my own colour and not gone to a professional. I like the colour. A little more warmer and red toned than I though it would be compared to picture and name -chocolate blonde but nice nonetheless. Would use again - May go for a more neutral/ cooler look next time”

“I was looking for a natural hair dye and I'm so glad I found The Shade. The application was easy and there is no chemical smell. The colour was exactly what I wanted and lasts really well with no fading. I picked Modena-golden brown. Will definitely continue my subscription and would recommend this brand to anyone.”

“I had to start using natural hair colour free of chemicals as my scalp became sensitive to conventional hair dyes. I have not had a problem with this product. I would like to see, in the future, maybe dry shampoo, hair mascara to use in between colouring, as I cannot use any of the conventional products.”

“Hair colour was so rich and natural looking. Easy to apply at home and loved that you supplied everything. It was a long process to first soften my colour resistant roots. Unfortunately for me it still didn’t colour well and I had patches of grey.”

“I was sceptical initially. I figured it was just another boxed dye but for $10 and a free kit of cape, mixing bowl, clips and a brush I thought why not. Well, I was wrong. Every time I have dyed from a box at home the blonde has a distinct orange undertone which I hate and my hair feels damaged. With The Shade, the colour was exactly as described, my hair felt and still feels healthy and even at full price, its cheaper than some of the box dyes I have used. I definitely reccommend using this product. Definitely worth at least trying the trial pack.”

“The colour is really nice. Unfortunately, the advertising says "phthalate free" but since every sachet contains parfum (fragrance), it is not phthalate free.”
