“Great colour selection and ordering process. Tools provided makes it a salon colour experience at home at an affordable price. Results were exactly as expected, and no ammonia formulation left hair healthy. Particularly loved the shampoo and conditioner, which I will look to purchase too!”

“Love this salon colour at home! Really happy with the advice provided and colour matching and results for my medium blonde regrowth. Colour great, greys covered and hair looks shiny too. “The product was excellent and the accessories very handy too. the colour is a little darker than I wanted but that is probably my bad choosing. the shampoo and conditioner sachets were very good. I am looking forward to my next colour but I think I will try a shade lighter if that is possible.”

“It has been a long time since I coloured my own hair - but with the new world order of COVID-19, I was looking for something high quality and easy... and The Shade fits the bill. The colour selecting process was great - very detailed and easier to use than facing hundreds of boxes in the supermarket! The customer service was exceptional - very quick responses and always very helpful. There was a delay on shipping that was because of Australia Post - nothing to do with The Shade - but they were patient and understanding and offered several options with regards to my subscription to help. The process of dying my hair was a little tricky - but only because it had been so long since I did it! The kit comes with everything you could need (and then some!). Beautiful packaging and the team clearly thought about everything. The only thing - and it really is the only thing - that I would change is the two sachets of colour protecting shampoo and conditioner: they were really tricky to open in the shower!! But such a small thing and certainly wouldn't put me off giving them a well-deserved five stars. The colour covered all of my greys (I am in my 40s, so have a few!) and left my hair soft and manageable. Love it and highly recommend The Shade!”

“I love it, I never seem to get the colour right when I store buy, but this one was spot on... The ease of selecting shade is made easy for you with lots of help from consult with expert... When it arrived I was blown away with what was in the box, everything you need, and I mean everything ... The price is amazing, save money girls... The ease of doing was my favourite as usually I have trouble with the back but the instructions are so clear...my hair looks brighter and so softer.. I highly recommend ...”

“I'm really disappointed. I got the colour consultation and have photos and ordered the colour recommended. I followed instructions exactly. I've done home colours before (years ago I did my own hair) so I'm not inexperienced. I ordered 7.1, so it should have been an ash blonde colour. Instead it's a ginger colour and not a nice one either. How 7.1 created red-gold tones I will never know. But I don't recommend it and wish I'd just lived with my regrowth until I could see my hairdresser again.”

Hi Deena, I'm sorry you didn't get the result you were looking for. It seems that might have tried to lighten your colour on top of previously coloured hair. This would throw up some warm tones. There would not be any warm tones with Bellaria 7.1 Dark Ash Blonde on uncoloured hair within 2 shades, as ash neutralises warm tones. “I love the colour! It covered the greys really well, although I should have left mine on for longer than 45 mins where the greys are particularly stubborn! The best part is my hair feels soft and not damaged. There was no strong smell and there was no tingling, or “toxic” feeling! My only criticism is the clips And gloves are terrible! But for the price, that’s fair enough.”

“I'm so incredibly happy I gave this a try! I dyed my hair from bright red to blonde over the course of a week whilst at home and ordered the golden bonde colour to help eliminate and blend in the last of the orange hues left behind - and I cannot be happier with the results. As I have very long, thick hair I ordered the extra pack and it was perfect :) Left my hair feeling great afterwards as well!”

“Great application kit, colour not true 4.1 ash dark brown had a lot red tone still and did not cover greys even after following a further 10min to develop. Colour left hair dry and I was pleased the kit had a moisturising conditioner. Overall it is a good DYI home product.”

Hi Sandra, Thanks for your feedback. Our Toscano 4.1 Dark Ash Brown neutralises warm tones; I suspect there is an underlying reason why there is still red tones in your hair. I would suggest you contact one of our colourists here who would be happy to assist: https://theshade.com.au/colourist/ In regard to your greys, you may have stubborn greys. We recommend a process called pre-softening ($2.95) for stubborn greys.
