“I am sooo happy my friend Steph introduced me to the Share during lockdown. The colourists helped me with my colour by creating the right mix of shades. It's so easy to use, the results look liked were done by a professional, it doesn't make my scalp itchy or dry and my hair always feels shiny and soft afterwards! I'm a fan and have recommended it to so many friends!! I still go to my hair stylist, but with so many grays and having to colour them every 3 weeks, I tend to alternate between The Share and the Hair Colourist.”

Hi Tsewang, Thanks for your feedback. Some greys are colour resistant. In terms of colouring stubborn greys, as you may know, grey hair often has a different texture, because along with the loss of pigment there are also changes to the outer cuticle layer of greys which can make them resistant to colouring. You can prepare your greys before colouring by pre-softening, which, as the name suggests, helps soften those tougher greys before colouring. It is a simple salon trick which is very effective. Please see the following blog: https://theshade.com.au/blogs/pre-softening-to-colour-very-resistant-greys/ You can also add some heat to your roots during the pre-softening period for a minute or two with your hairdryer, which will help soften and lift the cuticle on your greys, which helps the colour enter to be deposited within the hair. Pop a shower cap on while the colour is processing too, which will retain heat and boost colour absorption. I hope this helps! The Shade team

“I’m sorry it’s delayed as I had to colour my hair before your product arrived. I love the two new colours you have provided me with. I have only coloured my hair yesterday 11 September. …I’m sending the photos with this email unfortunately they’re in revise order I believe you can figure it out it’s quite clear to pick. “I had been ordering the hair colour from this company from a couple of years because it was advertised as free of chemicals. It always itches my skin but I still used as I felt safer. When they launched their silk hair towel, I purchased it instantly. Big mistake and a complete waste of money. This silk towel does nothing for my hair and failed at its basic usage- drying out the hair. I have used it only a couple of times as it’s useless and I am sure it can’t dry the hair of a child…it’s so bad at drying hair !!”

Hi Gemma, I'm sorry you are not satisfied with our Silk Noil Towel. Microfibre towels could be the best option if you are looking for the fastest drying process. Microfibre towels will wick away water and natural oils. This does lead to poorer condition results, but they are the fastest drying approach, together with a hair dryer. So if speed is your top concern, then microfibre towels could be best. Silk towels will wick away water only, and retain natural oils. This supports the condition of your hair, and your hair will be noticeably softer after use, and with repeated use your hair will be softer and stronger, with less breakage. So it is important to establish the key purpose that you want from the towel - for fast-drying, a conventional microfibre towel is sufficient. To preserve and boost the health and condition of the hair, a silk towel is best. Children's hair is generally is very good condition as it is unaffected by colouring, lightening or heated tools, so we don't anticipate that they would need a silk towel. I hope this helps!
