“I had a terrific experience from start to finish. The website has literally everything, but Naomi the Colourist went out of her way to help me make the right decisions. I sent her pics of my hair (salon colour and streaks, but now with Covid grey roots!). She made great colour recommendations, even answering emails on the Easter weekend!!!! I did the deed yesterday, my husband helping with the back bits, and I'm so thrilled with the results! Greys are gone, feels incredible, looove the colour Trieste, which works well over the lighter streaks. Love that there's no ammonia, you're an Aussie company, you treated me like I was in your salon.”

“Well I finally worked up the courage to use my shade system and it's worked out really well! I ended up with a colour to blend with the colours I already have. I followed the tips for applying colour to the roots so I didn't lose my blonde highlights and it blended perfectly. The kit itself was excellent! Amazing value for money. I really liked the little note with my name hand written. That's the little touches unable to be achieved from a store. ”

“I was very impressed. My gran daughter is my hairdresser but has had trouble finding a product that I don't have a reaction to. The Shade was recommended to me by a friends daughter and after the first use I did not have a reaction, so I am very happy. My gran daughter was also impressed and I will keep using The Shade for as long as I don't react to it.”

“Positively suprised ! I have balayage and I was due for a visit to the hairdresser but due to COVID19 decided to try the shade. I choose the lightest beige - wow ! Looks great cheaper and better than the hairdresser. What I like: - ordering process (next time I will use the colour consultant) - postage was quick - gorgeous packaging -awesome material included I disliked - the gloves !!!! They’re on the cheaper side. Would prefer proper hairdressing gloves. - a little confused as I had two developers but only one colour”

“I was really unsure about the free trial, knowing I had to subscribe to get the product but customer service was friendly and helpful so I decided to try The Shade in Sorrento. My hairdresser colours my roots every 5-6 weeks and I decided to give this at home colour treatment a go during covid19 restrictions. I was pleasantly surprised with the kit, the cape is particularly awesome, and instructions for the pre-softening for grey coverage as well as applying the colour was very easy (clear and concise). I read one woman’s review where her hair was very matted after the shampoo, I had the same result but the conditioner relaxed that situation very quickly. My hair is so soft and the colour is perfect!”

“I was relatively pleased with my experience using The Shade, however, I think it would be more beneficial for darker hair colours than blondes as there wasn't anything included for toning the blonde (it lifted my root colour a decent amount but to a slightly orange tone). The colour I used was an ash blonde however my hair didn't go as ashy as I'd have expected, this could be because my hair wasn't light enough. I wish that they had a larger range of colours, the ability to pick specific colours rather than doing the quiz to choose one, and perhaps something for toning the hair (even if it came for an extra cost). The developer I received was 20 volume developer so not too harsh on the hair.”

“I never thought I could colour my hair at home but the shade kit has been really easy to use. I like the fact that it also is based on organic products. The extra developer works really well on stubborn greys. So all in all I can only highly recommend this product.”

“The packaging is outstanding, the pack of items to use and products were great, the conditioner oh my god is out of this world!! I need this in a Litre bottle!! Postage was quick, the behind the scenes service was great. I wasn’t 100% happy with the final colour Napoli Blonde - it has gone a bit red at the roots but brown lower down so not sure, but I am going darker from a balayage so hopefully the next colour will be a great overlay of what i want.”

“Loved my first experience with The Shade! I haven’t done my own hair for many years and was a little worried I wouldn’t be any good at it. Simple process from start to finish. Lots of info on selecting the correct colour and the salon packs are amazing. I definitely recommend giving the trial a go as it’s such a low cost option to try this hair colour. I’m so in love with the colour I chose and how my hair turned out. It’s super soft and I can’t wait until it’s time to re do as it was a great experience!”

“This is a really great product. Very easy to use and well packaged, also providing everything you'll need. I unfortunately (accidentally) picked the wrong colour despite being advised by a colourist so my hair is very orange - entirely my fault. I reached out for help and received it immediately. Couldnt ask for more. My new colour (the correctly recommended one) is now ordered and I will post photo results.”
