AS of Dec 19, 2029 I was a platinum member and such status did not require me to pay for shipping. Yet every time I try to place an order below the "$125 free shipping," I get the shipping charge as an itemized entry. Another I experienced was the deduction of points when combined with a coupon in a single order. The points are deducted first, and then a partial dollar amount of the coupon total is applied towards the order. In other words, a ceiling of a total dollar amount is only allowed per each order as opposed to apply full coupon and selected points. The third issue I experienced was the fact I had to return a bad Perdomo cigar lighter, which I was offered a $10 certificate for the trouble, and still waiting for such certificate. I received a replacement lighter in exchange and it was also damaged. At that point I decided to keep second damaged lighter since I was already belly-up after paying for the return shipping of a bad item. Thompson Cigar still has an outstanding and great inventory, but my bottom line is the following: I am not interested in being taken for a fool. I told them to keep my platinum status, to keep my current balance of 400 plus points and to close my account. I am done ordering from Thompson Cigars. I do not want certificates, I do not want coupons/promotion codes, I do not want phone calls apologizing and I sure do not want a scripted email saying Thompson Cigar value their customers. and they are sorry about my experience.

Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against Thompson Cigar and through this found out that Thompson Cigar and Cigars International are the same business. Buyer Beware. The last order of mine from Thomson Cigar arrived incomplete and customer service non responsive to my communications about the incident until I stopped payment on my card. It was after that when I received several emails from Thomson Cigar Customer Service personnel Edison and Cecilia requesting me to lift the hold on payment and then they would send me a replacement shipment. The payment hold was lifted over a month ago, but at the time of this review Thompson Cigar has not shipped the replacement and Customer Service once again non responsive. This non responsive Customer Service includes Edison and Cecilia who previously assured me that a replacement would be shipped upon lifting the payment hold. Again, buyer beware.

Really bad telephone operation. Customer service and Ordering phones never answered even after ringing for 20 minutes or more. And not responding to emails, either. Also, advertised items in the frequenrly received catalogs are frequently not available or backordered for a long time ... akin to bait and switch tactics. Terrible business practices.

Ordered from Thompson cigar, cigars never came went to an old address even after updating new address. Call customer service what a joke, got a line of BS. Never got my order, will never order from Thompson cigar again. Advise you all to do the same. I’m done !

Oh boy! That’s the way I want to start my experience with Thompson cigars. For over 20 yrs I have been ordering cigars from JR cigars. I don’t remember ever having any problems. Last month I decided for the first time to try Thompson cigar it’s a disappointing and honestly very indifferent. Always a excuse, the first time I was sent cigars with wrappers unwrapped, the second time they topped the first mistake, they took a cigar out of the tube and sent me 4 cigars for The order of 5. That’s 2 of of 2. every time I called it takes 30 mins of holding and horrible phone connection. Pics attached. Best part they have a customer service email that no one responds to. I am done going back to JR.

I've been ordering from Thompson for a very long time. Maybe I'm extremely lucky but I've never experienced any of what I'm see in these reviews. My orders have always been as ordered, cigars have never been stale and my account was always accurate.

1st purchase. Could not get new customer discount applied to online order. Had to call to place order. Got some Asia call center that was horrible. Cigars arrived and were hard as rocks. Stale already. Now I get too many emails from you. Not good first experience. Probably last.

Ordered June 17 never recieved it’s aug 27, 2020. Don’t buy from them. Called 3 times waited 25 minutes then 30 minutes finally gots someone, refunded me but shorted me $3.00. I emailed them 5 times they totally ignore me, tracking still says it’s in transit to next location. Usps, learned not to buy if it’s shipped usps. Thompson’s lost a good customer but it looks like they have lost many

First their customer service department isn’t open on the weekends which is a complete joke. Secondly they delivered my package to the wrong address. Thirdly, I have been on hold for 42 minutes trying to talk with someone. Terrible customer service. Will never use them again!

I have been ordering cigars from Thompson for my husband for a number of years. Service was always exceptional until recently. I placed an order on June 6, 2020 and received a partial saying the Rocky Patels were on backorder. They now are showing in stock but the remainig part if the oder has not shipped. Multiple emails to customer service have been ignored and the chat service is not working. Not sure what's up but wish they would get their act back togetjer.

Placed an order they shipped it UPS set it to New York instead of South Carolina where it's at for 3 days UPS call They said we made a mistake in the sorry call Thompsons They don't seem to care that I want to know I received Stale cigars what would happen I would have to pay return postage and And pay it again The send me new ones this is unacceptabl

They lied said they shipped it out I paid for 2 day shipping it has been 2 Weeks I have called and they keep saying I’m still being processed then when I called to cancel they were so rude saying they didn’t want to sell to me anyway and told me to go somewhere else and all I wanted to do was cancel bc they ya my sent me a thing they are a waste of time and I will be spreading the new about the like Covid

Like the majority of the latest reviews, do not waste your time or especially your money ordering from Thompson Cigars. I placed an order 2 weeks before needing them, paid extra for 3 day shipping, changed my order to items stated to be in stock, was advised by order confirmation they would arrive 7 days from order date, which would have been fine, but heard nothing further from them. I looked online to see that one of the items had been back ordered, but others were still not processed. So I tried to call them, but customer service did not answer. Was prompted to online chat, so was able to chat with Edison. He was helpful, and seemed to assist me with my problem, stating he re-processed the order (whatever that meant) and advised the order would process in time. I advised him that if the order was not shipped by the next day, he needed to cancel the order. He also advised me, after I asked him, that he would press in a 2 day order. I thanked him and ended the chat. I also has a transcript of the chat emailed to me. Next day got an email showing the promo item part of the order was shipping out that day, but it showed a ground ship from the east coast to my WA home, and it would take a week+. I tried to call immediately with no answer, was not able to get an answer via phone, so sent an email to customer service with copy of chat transcript. No response. Day later tried another email, call, and chat with out luck. This time chat stated not available at that time. The next day, after again no email reply, tried to call without an answer, but was able to reach via online chat. This time chatted with Dennis, who was pleasant, but not able to help me. Apologized that the promo item shipped ground by error. I will refuse upon delivery and get credit thorough visa company. Again, do not waste your time or money.

The customer service is awful. I placed an order, then 10 days later learned it was not released from the system. They assured me the order would be released and sent overnight. Well, that didn’t happen. Called on Wednesday and they said that they screwed up and would be sent overnight. Well, that didn’t happen. They showed up on Friday and the cigars are damaged. On with customer service now.

Extremely slow shipping. Was told it would arrive at least a week before father's day and didn't arrive until a week after. No response from customer service until after it was delivered. No issues with actual product.

DO NOT BUY FROM THOMPSON! BEWARE!!! Ordered, shipment never arrived, after 3 weeks they were to reship 3 weeks later got part of it they double charged me for the full amount, tried to get credit for their mistakes, they do not answer emails, repeated calls to them get nothing but lies, 2 months later no credit no cigars I paid for nothing but frustration, they still owe me my money back! BEWARE DO NOT BE A VICTIM OF THESE CROOKS!!!!

Products I have received were fine but the shipping is VERY slow, the tracking showed no movement and when you ask customer service email about it you get no response.
