Ordered with estimated delivery on Dec 21. Can't fulfill an order. Ordered on Dec 7. Now Dec 21. No shipment, no estimated shipment date and no reliable information about this shipment. UPDATE: Order status suddenly appeared and sake was delivered within 24 hours. I don’t know if it was in transit for 2 weeks or if the order was expedited after my complaint. Given that this order was for a Christmas present, it was upsetting that I had no information about whether it would be here in time or not. I’m glad it was delivered in time. I would give them more stars if not for their lack of status updates, which they seem trying to resolve.

The sake is very good. However, getting it here was very frustrating. I live in Texas and the site does say that shipments do take longer to my state. However, I was never sent any shipment notifications (Weshipexpress via UPS as I would find out later) I even checked my spam folders and never received a notification. So I had three missed delivery attempts because I didn’t know the same shipped and they would need my ID and to sign for it and had to spend a lot of my weekend on hold trying to reach Tippsy and UPS for them to resend it. However, love the sake, love the tasting cards and videos, really fun tasting experience, and I’m learning a lot about sake! My partner and I are enjoying writing our own tasting notes on the cards provided so we can keep track!

The box is a great idea - six options, superb write-ups for each, and secure packaging. I have not had a chance to evaluate the recent box. Until now, I have not one a single sake that was above mediocre save 1.5 -- One was really satisfying, and one was a solid citizen that is readily available, even here in Quaker State. I have no illusions that I am an aficionado, but I have taken private classes with sake-specific sommeliers, drink sake often (compared to other US wines), and have traveled to Japan for direct experience. I've had better luck ordering items from the Tippysy website, relying on the descriptions for each. The samples are no Gekkan, but they're not up to the quality of other selections at Tippsy. I will continue with the subscription as I see it as a smart way to try new brands, regions, and rice processing techniques, but I hope I find some gems or even decent choices.

The sake and cards included with the sake is cool. The pamphlet thing usually seems unrelated to the sake so it is less cool Delivery is chaos if you live in NJ, the only upside is the drivers seem to leave the package without checking ID so I don't need to know when it arrives The referral program is so stingy and expires your points fast. I'm not referring anyone again because of this I don't know of a better sake club though so I think I would resubscribe unless something else comes along

I am happy to have found Tippsy, from which I can obtain decent sake even if they are a bit overpriced. The company did deliver safely what I ordered. I do see, however, a lot of room for improvement. First, while they claim to ship the products in a matter of 2-3 days, it actually took over a week before they shipped my order despite that everything I had ordered was in stock. Second, the delivery also took longer than what they described on their homepage. By tracking the shipment, I learned that my order was sitting for two full days at UPS's local facility. Third, they boast of qualify control during the delivery, mentioning, in their mail confirmation of the order, temperature-controlled tracks during summer. However, if anything like that is indeed done is questionable, at least in my case, which involved sake needing refrigeration but the box arrived warm. They should immediately stop telling the customers anything that is untrue or unrealizable. Forth, the communication via text messages is quick enough, but customer service via e-mail is very slow in response and their responses are prefunctory. I'm sure some of these problems can be immediately solved if they endeavor to, which I hope they do. I hope that I will be more motivated to return to Tippsy with these improvements made.

Ito san, I normally do not reply to surveys as they hold little benefit to me in my busy day, but for your company, I am making an exception because I would like to see your business model succeed. I will keep using your site as long as it remains the high-quality product you have marketed at a reasonable price and exceptional convenience. With that being said; I find your business model has a solid foundation in product and service. The two packages I received from you were of high quality, and the added literature was unique and beneficial. The presentation was thoughtful, well planned, and executed. I was super excited to receive my first box. After savoring good sake when I lived in Japan, it was nice to be revisiting an earlier passion. Unfortunately, none of my tasting cards matched to the bottles I recieved so while I still enjoyed my first sips, I had nothing to educate me about what I was drinking. Hopefully, this will get corrected and I hope others have not had the same experience.

The website is terrific, the selection is terrific, the customer service is atrocious. I hope and pray it gets better. It takes days to respond to any issue, which is just not ok. The sake eventually arrives, but you never know when, and they don't seem to have an efficient way to tell you.

There was ZERO communication or tracking information provided after ordering. It was a black hole. No emails, no tracking info, no conformations. It took weeks to get the package, and it arrived well after Christmas.

Tippsy itself seems like a good business, website was easy to navigate with a great amount of choices. I didn’t initially receive a confirmation email or tracking information until I reached out to them but I understand sometimes things get missed so thats not really a big deal. What changes is the delivery services they chose. They decided to use a regional service that is one of the lowest rated, uncommunicative, and just frustrating services that based off what i have read has multiple AG complaints levied towards them. The choice to use this service has increased delivery time and theres no way to get in contact with them to figure out issues with my package. Its a bad choice and unfortunately taints the concept of easy ordering and makes it more of a hassle than just acquiring the sake myself through other services or other businesses. Tippsy website, customer support 7-8.5/10 , delivery process 2/10.

What really bothers me. I have a nice collection of Sake now. When i got my First six bottles, they came with cards that described Each and every Sake. We shopped until we found just the right box to file all our cards that would be coming with our Sake orders. So when we planned dinners we could just open our file box and find just the RIGHT Sake. Now I have to Guess which bottle goes with anything.... Very Sad! This is something you could change. and get 5 stars. Yours Truly Tony Matsu

The Senkin "Classic" Kamenoo is a pleasant sake, w/ pleasant fruity undertones and nicely dry on the palate. It's not interesting on its own, but chilled & served in a wine glass, it very nicely complemented the seafood dish we served it with. I would serve it again with seafood, but not serve it alone before a meal.
