“Very substantial outcomes from practicing the technique for a little over a week! I have tons of energy and have been much more productive than usual. The practice itself is deeply restful.”
“I will admit that I have tried other methods that are very similar to TM, with little/no results. Yes, TM costs while others are free. The meditation itself can be explained in a few sentences. BUT, the explanation of why TM works and how TM works is key and other similar methods do not provide that. Once I learned the how & the why, then I realized that the cost was quite fair. Perhaps even a bargain. Other methods can certainly put you on the "right track," the issue is that the track is long and winding, with peaks and valleys, and obstacles etc., in other words you need a guide. TM is the guide. Go ahead and climb the Himalayas without a Sherpa. Good luck, but don't be surprised when you have no idea how to avoid falling off that cliff.”
“I'm very glad I decided to take the TM course and to have been taught by June Humphreys. The Chicago TM Center, under the tutelage of June and David Humphreys, is impressive in many ways. They are super-experienced teachers, as well as kind and fun human beings. As for TM itself? It's everything I hoped for in a daily meditation practice.”
“New to TM but it’s exceeding my expectations. I was a bit of a skeptic at first, but no longer. I perceive myself, after only 3 weeks, to be more at peace and less irritable.”
“I found the TM technique to be easy to learn and practice. With just a few practice sessions, I could feel the difference in my sense of ease and adaptability.”
“My teacher was great and I have a super busy mind so I am just starting the journey..
The Mantra is a very nice difference then other meditations I have tried.”
“While still only two weeks out of my TM training, I am astounded with the clarity of my mind and speech and ecstatic with my happiness level. There is a definite "buffer" between me and upsets/stressors that makes me so much more effective in my workday.
I am loathed to give up my mindfulness meditation practice in favor of TM, so I make my TM first priority (2x daily), and still enjoy my other meditation in the morning, AFTER TM.
While I expect maybe some of the euphoria to tame down over time, there is no doubt that adding TM to my routine has given me the very benefits I most wanted for myself. I will be curious to see after six months or so if there are some medical benefits in terms of reduced blood pressure, etc.”
