I made a mistake with the booking and double booked a room, spoke to an 'agent' who said as it was non refundable it l was unlikely to get it refunded I accept this in the normal way but I noticed my error in minutes so surely it should have been refunded. I know it was my mistake but surely there should be some leeway. So be very careful with your bookings on line.😟 with regard to below I did not get a refund I had to change it to another night and pay a change fee as well. Will be very wary in future.

Lovely friendly staff but the lifts are not fit for purpose. The TL is also situated in a retail park which is full of rubbish, broken, glass, dead birds and the smell of substances! Not pleasant.

Very basic no appeal about it apart from price.. very old and dated smelt of bleach not pleasant needs a makeover… staff were only thing I liked..

Hi always I am getting offers from travel lodge that if u will book we will give you on this this rate cheaper but when I am going to book I got nothing very bad this happened this time also I know it will not work and I will not respond me

very dirty hotel, carpets need cleaning at the moment there very sticky. Have stayed there every week since the turn of the year for work reasons, stayed in many different rooms, all in the same conditions, carpets should be burned and replaced.

This is my first time back here in well over year. The hotel is looking very run down and dirty. Staff at check in were very nice. Was constantly woken through the night by banging doors, and a staff radio/walkie talkie around 4am. My tea caddy had a condom in it. Either they are providing these now as standard given the city centre party atmosphere, or perhaps the previous guest forgot their johnny. Who knows it's still there. Unused.

Convenient location, but cleaning is v poor. There's often things missing from the bedrooms such as extra pillows, pillow cases, tea / coffee items, soap in the dispensers, towels etc. Shower curtains are often mouldy and/or don't reach the shower tray, resulting in water everywhere. Otherwise it's great.

Travelodge does the job you'd expect of a hotel, but certainly doesn't go above and beyond. The room is reasonably sized and clean upon entry. The bathroom is small, but acceptable. The room key I have been given doesn't work 100% of the time, and I find myself playing around with the lock inserting and reinserting my room key 5-6 times before I can enter my room. Anyone passing by might think I'm trying to break in! On my first night I went down to the bar to get some dinner but found no one behind the bar, and no food being prepared despite signs in the elevator saying the bar would be open. I also paid for access to wifi while booking online, only to find that the wifi in the building doesn't work at all. Not happy with that at all and relying on mobile data to keep me connected. Breakfast was almost a similar situation to dinner the previous night, with no one behind the bar when I arrived, but to my surprise there was food and drink available. Overall, it's just somewhere to rest my head at the end of the day. Certainly not the most relaxing stay but it's a roof over my head.

I always find a problem with getting the prices for twin rooms as the only price you state at first is fo a double room with just one bed in

I had problems with the booking I could not book through my account, because the system always wants to have an English zip code. In addition, the country key always jumps to Great Britain. Since I come from Germany, the data are wrong. In addition, I could not pay via the system with the credit card. I reported the problem with the data to customer service yesterday, but have not yet received a response.

The Hotels are usually very good when you manage to get a booking. The booking system needs some work, however. I recently tried to book a hotel and it took 4 attempts!! Firstly I couldn't change the room occupancy, then I got kicked off website, 2nd attempt was better until I couldn't log into my account. Said I used wrong password, I didn't as I have it saved. 3rd attempt same as above. I changed my password to try and get in, then it said my email wasn't recognised! I tried to make a new account it said I couldn't because it was already a registered email. I gave up!

Have Stayed in Travelodges for years all over the UK, this stay was disappointing. Lock on door was damaged, shower stopped working mid way through showering. Room looked shabby and tired. Definitely needs an upgrade and decoration. Not the usual standard of room I’ve come to expect.

Very difficult to make contact with Travelodge. I wish to ask if there are twin bedrooms available and other than spend an inordinate amount of money on the phone and pay a contact fee[?] I can find no way to ask this question... Maybe it's me?

I’ve booked many times but this time took almost a day- I tried to reach out via messenger also but didn’t receive a response. I had a discount code that wouldn’t work (eventually did) & then it wouldn’t let me pay without setting up a card in Apple Pay which I didn’t want to do. Intermittently tried over the course of a day & eventually it let me.
