Expensive. Always problems with internet. Room not clean. Old frayed carpet. Table light not working. Corridor light not on early working.

On the whole, the website is quite good, but I needed to dig for information on how to include our dog in my booking. It would have been nice to speak to someone, but a premium phone line is not the way to go if you want to help customers. Neither my mobile or land line would allow the call to go ahead. Having to pay upfront for internet access is also pretty poor and the options are fairly limited. Two devices on the standard offer for a booking for three people? We are paying over £100 as it is.

The room was mediocre. Definitely not worth the price but was clean. Very small TV and hardly any milk etc for brews. Very dry coffee sachets. Was woken at 3am by drunks screaming at one another so didn’t sleep great.

Second stay here, first was awful! Gave a second chance as it’s suitably placed for our needs but it just gets worse. Kids running around cars parked and playing football in the car park. Untrained staff! Initially left stood at reception whilst 2 members of staff continued their conversation. Staff looking for red wine in the fridge, to be told they didn’t have any…I had to explain that red wine isn’t kept in the fridge and tell her where it was. Second bar visit, I asked for lime juice, was told they didn’t have it so was offered bottles of lemonade and j20! To go in my pint of lager….again I had to point it out to get it. 3rd bar visit, I asked for a bottle of Malbec and again after telling her where it was she handed me a half empty bottle. I could go on but I’m sick of typing.

I tried to book two nights stay at Travelodge, Derriford. When I tried to pay I couldn't because Travelodge expect everyone to have Apple Pay. My credit card does not use Apple Pay. I nearly gave up and used Premier Inns. But, and here's the good part, I phoned Travelodge Derriford and a lady gave me a number for the central booking office. It cost me £2.50 booking fee but I was able to book the two nights. Travelodge need to sort their website out as they will have very dissatisfied customers.

Rooms covered in stains. Kids running through corridors screaming late at night. Won’t stay there again.

This Travelodge is in dire need of some attention. The car park has massive potholes and is strewn with rubbish. My room had bird poo streaked down the window and frame. The window sill inside was a mess and needs a repaint. There are only 3 electrical sockets in the room and none by the bed so you have to unplug either the kettle, TV or heater to charge your devices. There's no 3G signal in the hotel so you have to buy theirs. The hot water wasn't really hot enough for a bath (and the bath is tiny!). On the plus side, the staff were friendly and let me check in early and the bed was really comfortable.

I was very disappointed to find as I did the booking the price rose from £115.99 to £138.99 in the space of my adding my details. To add insult you emailed me this morning with the lower price even though I have booked the higher one.

Not very impressed with this Travelodge. The room was clean and everything worked but the soap in the shower was vile It was a red liquid that left me feeling like I had been rubbed down with washing-up liquid. It also had quite an unpleasant sort of chemical smell. The car park, although my car was fine, looks like a potential thief's paradise. I was also majorly unimpressed with the "breakfast to go". A tiny amount but what made it worse was that the box they gave me had two items missing. Lesson learned I guess. I usually stay at a bigger Travelodge that has more facilities including a decent place to get a good, cooked breakfast for just £3 more than the little box with things missing. There was also a constant noise from the filling station, or somewhere, that disturbed my nights sleep. One thing I was very happy with, the shower had great water pressure and was like a tropical rain storm.

I booked a hotel room so that I could attend a funeral. I have had more than 20 messages / emails about your hotel chain since ! I tried to phone the hotel, but the PREMIUM rate line could not connect me ! Service so far - PATHETIC !

Fine via the website shocking via the app wouldn’t accept card payment there’s no Apple Pay option on there only gave one room option

Completely under-staffed. The room I was assigned had no working lamp. I was given another one but it too had no working lamp. Or working heater. Third room was fine, if I had been able to get into it. Lock was broken and key wouldn't work. Altogether I wasted an hour trying ti check in. Receptionist was very helpful and it clearly wasn't his fault- he was just having to cover too many bases at the same time in a hotel that has obvious maintenance issues.

Unfortunately everytime I tried to pay for my stay my card kept getting rejected what was very frustrating hopefully someone will look into this matter and make it easier for people to use their credit cards.
