Omg, totally, Trustpilot is in it to make lots of money. They only get money from people who want to make it appear that they have good, legitimate reviews. A classic example is Life Ionizer. They control and can write their own reviews. You can see the REAL way they do business by going to www.FakeSpot.com

Just like everybody else has said, Trust Pilot is an absolute joke of a website. Completely uncontrolled and undemocratic corporate control that does nothing for consumers whatsoever. Call it Distrust Pilot.

Look ! This is how it works ! You have a business and get bad reviews on trustpilot then they contact you “we don’t know what’s going on but let us help you ” you pay trustpilot and BLAM no more bad reviews they filter any bad ones and publish good ones. Don’t believe me look at the TP reviews for John Lewis the trusted house hold name (don’t pay TP) and then webuyanycar scammers (that pay TP) Amazing hey ? TP should be investigated and shut down !!!!

After recently getting a lot of help from a showroom in a business I left them a quick review on Trustpilot to say basically good showroom service and recommended them. 17 hours later Trustpilot took it down on the grounds of compliance. Despite sales order docs and Invoices they would not reinstate. I find that very strange and after searching the web realise I'm not the only one. It seems this sort of thing happens very regular with Trustpilot. Perhaps some in-house Trustpilot manipulation. Anyway, looked at a selection of reviews from companies both good and bad that I had previous business with and within an hour realised that there were many, many anomalies. It made me wonder just how honest Trustpilot reviews are. From my research I would say that there is definite manipulation of reviews and that makes me suspect everything this company has on the web. Some companies that I know have bad reviews elsewhere on the net have little evidence of that on Trustpilot. Suspicious indeed. I do not intend to read anymore of their fiction, at least thats what I think.

They remove genuine negative reviews. As a consequence they cant be trusted to be impartial.

I created another genuine reviews on FB for them too after they battled with me over keeping my real review up: https://www.facebook.com/TrustPilotcom-Reviews-Independent-Reviews-of-TrustPilot-1758963447727985/ The owner of TP then gave me a bad review, even though he'd never done biz w me.

Very bad company. They wanted proof that I am a customer of a company I rated, I gave them the proof, they put my review on line again and deleted it a few days later. now I contacted them five times within a week and they do not react at all. They help bad companies to get honest reviews removed and they help companies putting on fake reviews (which appear as "verified order") and do not react if a customer reports these fake reviews, even if they are obviously fake or written by employees or relatives of the company owner. Avoid this very bad company!

It is review fixed website. It posts only a positive responses and deletes the negative and true responses. Don't trust the trustpilot, it should be untrustypilot.

I read on wikipedia that there's been some criticism of Trustpilot for basically selling itself as a platform for favorable reviews to companies, and it does seem to me that is their business model. There is a very limited selection of companies listed on the site, a suspicious proportion of highly favorable reviews, and when I posted a review complaining that a company there sent me spam ("Hi, I have some questions about your company...hi, I wanted follow up....hi,....), that company president messaged me to claim they only email people who are interested in their product, accused me of lying and conspiring with someone named Andy, threatened to hire a lawyer and then wished me a nice day. What a jerk. If he'd just apologized and promised to remove me from their mail list like any other reputable company that sends out spam, I would have amended or deleted the review. Now, it seems to me that trying to intimidate customers that should be reason for Trustpilot to block them (they do recommend to companies that they should talk nicely instead of being hostile), but instead the company was able to lodge a complaint that I wasn't a real customer and it was up to me to provide documentation that I was a customer or my review would automatically be removed. Now, I wonder how many of those five-star reviews would pass this test? Anyway, I just removed my account figuring there's no reason to contribute to their user count, and while I generally appreciate it when Internet companies don't make you jump through hoops to remove your account, it's so easy to remove your account on Trustpilot that it just reinforces me impression that the whole site is geared toward filtering out any non-favorable reviews.

Disappointed with Trustpilots compliance team. Will not remove a customer's review who is blackmailing us and victimising a member of staff with a bad review in order to obtain a free order and refund. This is against there terms and conditions yet they are allowing this. No trust with them at all now.

Hi I recently set up an account partially filled the details, didn't think much of it at the time, a few days later I typed my business name to check reviews from another site, trust pilot came up first with one negative and one ok review, I noticed my company logo and my name but my company name was arranged differently. I logged onto trust pilot account to find out what had happened, only thing I filled in was my name company logo, and company email, I didn't fill any section in with my company name as that had to be done in the companies section which i didn't fill. The type of work i do makes its more personal between me and my customer, so i know if there is a issue, but to have random people comment is not a review. my question is why would trust pilot automatically fill my details and straightaway I get two reviews, from total stranger, isn't this classified as fake reviews. can trust pilot be trusted to be honest and non biased towards your business, with this type of activity is happening, or are all reviewing platforms colluding to drum up business. Awaiting a valid response from trust pilot and i will update thank you Ali

I find Trustpilot a very honest place to leave reviews but believe that a lot of people that but bad reviews in are trying to make them look bad in anyway they can I have look at loads of bad reviews but they give no proof of who they are staying anonymos if its a true review then why are frightened to give there name is it because they are like a lot of people that have nothing to do and spend time going on the internet and doing things keeping them occupied instead of getting board like acting like little kids I know for a fact trustpilot always give the review that as been given making them very honest in every way

I've reported a company who have obviously faked positive reviews and they did nothing about it. It's not like the reviews are even done well - they're from people with no other reviews, glowingly positive, all done in the space of a few days and none since, all from people with similar names, all with similar grammar errors. If they don't do anything about such obvious spamming as that then how can we possibly believe they can find more subtle fraud? They aren't bothered.

Now impossible to leave a review of a company without correspondence with the company. In the case of bittylicous, I cannot leave a review without a transaction code, which I do not have, and must contact them the receive if they feel like giving it to me. Trust pilot is not impartial and favours the business, and no doubt in some way they pay to cherry pick reviews.
