I along with 27 others reviewed universalgadgets.co.uk over the past few weeks now 07/07/16 all negative about ug universalgadgets reported them and all where blanked out and in there place ug inserted glowing 4 * reviews complete with self promotion and one might describe as adds. I was SHOCKED at the behaviour of Trustpilot an utter disgraceful website and not at all trustworthy. I have first hand knowledge of their shenanigans as I have been visiting the site regularly perhaps they think people just review and forget and wont notice what is going on. Visit the site before they take down all the negative reviews mentioned above. TRUSTPILOT IS NOT IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY AVOID THEM sound bitter don't i. i am i thought i could trust them. What a fool am i.

I purchased some tee shirts from a local business to me. Received an email from the business a few weeks later asking if I minded reviewing on Trustpilot, which I have no problem in doing. Once I had, I have been and am still being questioned by Trustpilot about the purchase. Even though I sent them the email trail with the designs, send the list of emails between myself and the owner. Told them I collected them as the company is 3 miles away and I needed them urgently, yet they still refuse to publish my review. I paid the £20 but didn't keep the receipt so they won't accept my review. I will never review on Trustpilot again unfortunately for the local business that I would review.

Like some other reviewers here, TrustPilot flagged my review as LookFantastic wanted to verify I was a genuine customer. I provided proof, all the proof they wanted but they said my email and username didn't match. I don't use my username on my email (silly people do that) and not on my billing address. Plus people use different email addresses for various reasons, such as business, or for signing up for forums which I do. They look for any excuse not to publish negative reviews that a site (paying one) flags, and they only give you 7 days (including weekends) to provide evidence and for them to get back to you.

I posted a negative review on Trustpilot about mobiles.co.uk as I placed an order with them and they did not send me any confirmation of my order and later found out the order never went through, this happened multiple times that's why I left the bad review. A few days later Trustpilot advised me they will have to remove the review unless I can prove that I placed an order. My review was about not receiving proof so there was no way of proving this. I tried to explain this to Trustpilot but they ignored that and kept repeating that they needed me to provide proof. Most pointless review service ever if they are all for the companies we are reviewing!

I wrote a bad review about names.co.uk being a rip off company with a few examples on why it is the case. The next day it was removes from their site with this explanation. "names.co.uk reported this review for breach of Trustpilot guidelines. We are currently assessing the review in accordance with our reporting processes." Not much of a review site if they only show good reviews!!

Do not trust Trustpilot. I have had a very negative experience with a seller of beauty products. I published my honest review on TrustPilot. It was taken down alledgedly 'at the request of the vendor'. Needless to say, I cannot trust any of the reviews on TrustPilot, as for instance, the majority of the reviews on the beauty products vendor appear positive, and do not match with my experience.

Sadly Trustpilot arnt a lot of good , if you give a truthful but bad review the vendor asks you to take it down ,or Trustpilot does not not publish it. Look outside Trustpilot for reviews and you get a totaly different picture on a lot of companys

Trust pilot are a shame. You need an ok from machinemart just to give them a review. Trustpilot then remove any negative feedback. Look at Trustpilot feedback for machinemart and then look at some independent reviews. Trustpilot is high and independent is low. Hmmmmm wonder who is lying?

I posted a negative review on Trust Pilot that was removed and then deleted, despite providing all the proof they asked for. Positive reviews are never questioned despite appearing fake. Called customer services and they ignored my concerns. Please don't buy anything based on their distorted reviews.

Just deleted all my reviews (30) since 2012 more positive than negative. However when giving honest review on a particular company it was censored at the request of the company. I agreed reluctantly to censor it but then a footnote was left on the amended review which questioned my authenticity and integrity although all my reviews were under suspicion. Contacted Trustpilot support who stated they always suspend all reviews if objected to by a company! So be warned if you encounter a genuine problem with a company don't expect Trustpilot to post it.

The website TrustPilot are not to be trusted. Companies can flag any factually correct negative review you leave for them and TrustPilot will always side with the company and delete your review if you do not edit it to make the company seem like they provided you with a better service than they did. Wrote a factually accurate negative review for the company "Laptop Outlet UK" and then the company "Laptop Outlet UK" reported my review (which is something they like to do to anyone who leaves a negative review, so that their company profile on the website TrustPilot will only have 5 star reviews) for "sensitive information" because I mentioned their unjustified price discrepancies across different marketplace platforms and I mentioned the name of the their crap customer service assistant (which I later edited out) who I found extremely unhelpful and uncaring. I'll be sure to tell all my friends and family not to trust the website TrustPilot, since companies can false flag negative reviews they do not like and TrustPilot will almost always side with these companies, especially companies who pay TrustPilot a fee. I will not be writing any more reviews on TrustPilot nor will I ever use them again to read reviews on companies since they cannot be trusted.

Don't bother with Trustpilot as they can be bought and I got proofs. I posted a true review about phonerecyclers and they removed my comment even will all the documentation provided, proof of purchase and emails between me and the company. In fact if I wouldn't go trough this, I wouldn't have searched for another website where I can review Trustpilot himself, well "reviews.co.uk" sounds even better. Stop wasting your time on Trustpilot cause they don't do that for customers sake, they ask you to review a company and if they don't like the image, they can buy a 5 star from Trustpilot that's how they make the money.

As with other reviews here Trustpilot's automatic verification system is a pile of junk. Removed valid reviews that I had posted so what a waste of time it is using their website. I'm posting a good review of a government backed scheme. What on earth would I have to benefit from not only posting an apparant fake review but then also taking the time to follow it up when Trustpilot removed my review to get it re-instated to still be rejected. Use some common sense!

I agree with all the people leaving bad reviews.I asked how come that people from America were leaving 5* reviews on the betting company betway.com when Americans are banned from opening accounts in the UK so shouldn't be even able to give a review in the first place. The rating for this company is over 8 yet if all the fake reviews were taken off the score would be way down.I even asked my MP to take a look into them but Trustpilot just fobbed her off with a load of rubbish.NEVER trust a review on the trust pilot site

after leaving honest review my time and effort were all for nothing as thay removed my review fairly quickly, smelling a rat ,i did some digging and looking at the guy who founded the company is now multi millionair in the us,the sales packages for clients said it all ,the more you spend on your package the more freedom you have to remove negative reviews, that was the most important part of the deal.all i can say is what a scamer.
