“I totally agree, they are fraudulent. They have created a Trust Pilot page for my business after I had many sales calls and said no to subscribing to them. They have put negative reviews on my business, then ring me again to charge me £1000 a month to give me access to put it right. Its a big fat con, and the sales people are arrogant and abusive if you do not take out their packages. They don't take no for an answer & keep on calling, had to block thier number! Do not trust do not touch, beware.”

“They deleted my review of Kiwi.com saying that the transaction happened 14 months ago, and that they only accepted negative reviews which happened in last 12 months”

“I was looking for a car dealer. There's a very very dodgy one in my area - all the locals know - yet on TrustPilot it was right near the top of their league table with average 9.3 starts (out of ten)! At the very bottom of the league table - 120th -scoring just 1 point is no less than Mercedes Benz! I since found out that companies near the top of the list all pay TrustPilot substantial amounts of money.”

“They brag about their sophisticated system of detecting fraud reviews but they allow people creating multiple profiles which on their user guidelines they say is a violation. Even when you report them, they will actually not look into it and just let them sit on your page! I think they really allow this kind of rubbish so you would be forced to get a paid page cause that's the only way you will have a bit of control over these reviews. But if you don't opt to pay, well they will just let your page get swarmed by deregatory reviews!”

“Tried to put this review on Trustpilot only for Wren Kitchens to challenge it by saying i was never a visitor to their store..Trustpilot now wants documentation to proof i was a visitor to Wren Kitchens...How can i prove anything when wren refused to give me anything to come away with because i didnt sign an order there and then???? Trustpilot always seems to side with the company that we are trying to protect the public from being misled by refusing to publish bad reviews about them.”

“I agree trustpilot doesn't do anything when you try leaving a truthful review, they will just ignore it and try bringing up excuses about the review on how you have to remove someones name but im looking at other reviews and they have the companies employees name, jeez looks like trustpilot supports blackmails and threats because this company called gtxgaming.co.uk blackmailed me and threaten me and i sent proof of that and trustpilot didn't do anything about it they just ignored it, and funny thing it's against their rules for a company to threaten you and blackmail you to get a review changed on trustpilot, i suggest you look at other websites for reviews because all those reviews posted on trustpilot are fake, and they will just leave the good reviews on there, and yeah trustpilot probably get's paid by companies to leave the good reviews on there.”

“It is a scam. Even when you send them irrefutable proof of your bad experience with a company on their site they refuse to post it. They are obviouslt getting paid to limit negative reviews for certain companies. Totally defeats the purpose having a review site.”

“Trustpilot???? Mmmmn fake pilot more like, this company posts fake reviews written by the company you are trying to leave a genuine comment about. That's how they make money but I'd love to know how they can continually get away with it. I very stupidly used a company called Basi heating who should me renamed dodgy heating as that is precisely what they are. Stay away from trustpilot and do not give your money to Basi heating.”

“A company I used invited me to use Trust Pilot. Unfortunately this company was extremely unethical and my review reflected this. I have all the evidence I need to back up my claim but Trust Pilot removed the negative review. I believe the company pays Trust Pilot for their service, so its in their interest to remove them. I never use Trust Pilot to make a decision about what products or services I use. Any company which takes payment has a conflict of interest. Beware.”

“Would not recommend anybody using Trustpilot. I've had an awful experience as a business with fake reviews. Trustpilot would not remove the fake reviews as they had 'received documentation.' - anybody can supply a fake order ID (which was never checked with us) You have no option but to have a profile on their website which is disgraceful. I'd love to hear from anybody in the same situation.”

“Myself and my husband wrote separate poor reviews on a company as they were exceptionally bad and we were left over £200 out of pocket because of this company. We did not spam or swear in the reviews but we were both told to remove them. We sent the order number to prove they were genuine reviews but they still asked us to remove them. We both refused so Trust Pilot removed them both a few days later. We have never used this website since or believed what they claim as we believe that companies pay them to keep the poor reviews off.”

“I think TrustPilot is an absolute joke allowing companies to abuse their verification system to remove negative reviews. The onus is put on the customer to jump through hoops to prove they have a genuine experience with a company, even when you add your order number to the review they STILL remove them. The whole customer experience is appalling and either companies pay them to remove poor reviews or trust pilot really is not trust worthy. Companies know if they query a poor review most customers will not go through the whole debacle of sending proof, trust pilot had the cheek to ask me to send them my bank statements to prove a review. Not going to happy, I would not send a company my banking information for anything - complete disgrace!!”
