Newspapers are late, or missing. When I email to find out about more consistent delivery, it goes unanswered. Please have customer service email me.

Hi Andrea, Hope you are well, I can see that you have an order for Das Neue Blatt, this magazine has to be delivered to us from Germany and we have been having troubles with foreign magazines arriving at us on time - we have queried this with our suppliers many times and yet to hear back. It is now 30 days since I purchased the magazine, and I am still waiting for it to arrive. I did email yesterday asking and all I can be told is that it was dispatched on the 28th of October. I also asked for a waybill or reference number for tracking and again was told no Unique Magazines can not give that. I can only complain after 60 days of not receiving it. This is a Christmas present and I doubt I will receive it before the 10th of December. Very disappointing.

Hi, I am so sorry to hear this. We sent the magazine the same day you placed the order, via priority airmail. We ask customers to let us know within 30 days that the issue if an issue has still not arrived but with the rest of the world, we are unable to act on claims until it has been the maximum date of 60 days. From experience, this is the maximum time it can take for magazines to arrive overseas, outside of Europe and so we ask you to allow this before we send another issue or offer a refund. When the magazine has left our warehouse, it is slightly out of our hands as the royal mail must deliver it. However, as we provide the product, we will always compensate when the time scale has passed! If you would have liked the order for Christmas, it is always best to check with us first to see when is best to order however, it is likely the magazine will arrive before Christmas. I am not happy that I am charged double the price that is printed on the magazine. It certainly doesn’t cost that much to send as I checked how much to post and the plastic bag isn’t expensive. We run our own business and purchase stronger mailing bags and they only cost pennies. They should explain where they get their castings from. If I could purchase Angelina Ballerina elsewhere I certainly would. Unique magazines are ripping people off.

Hi Gill, Hope you are ok and thanks for the feedback. We are not publisher's of any magazines but stockists, meaning a lot of processes and hard work goes into getting your order to you! We must purchase this off a supplier first of all which differs than if you were to order from a publisher, as they could send it direct from there printers! We then generate an average subscription price, based on a few factors. These include the cover price of the magazine, considering whether prices can fluctuate per issue. We also consider the weight of the magazine, also having thought of any possible gifts attached. The packaging is also included and the postage price per each issue we send out. We also must make ends meet as we are a business and work to make profit and ensure our staff are looked after, as they work super hard! We appreciate our cost is more than the cover price and it is understandable to query it with us, as we want to ensure you know exactly what it is you are paying for! If you wanted the magazine for the cover price alone, it can usually only be purchased this way through publisher's and in stores directly, as they are not delivered and must be picked up (for the most part). When I ordered the subscription as a gift it was not explained that the October edition would not arrive with him until November. I’ve never come across a magazine service before where the October edition was not sent at the end of Sept. The point of subscribing is that you get it before it’s official release. I rang today and basically it’s my fault! Delivery dates are on the website apparently. Not good customer service. They will start with September instead of October now, whereas good customer service would be to send Sept as a gesture and begin the subscription with October edition in November.

Hi, Sorry you feel this way. The release dates of the magazines are out of out control. This is an American magazine but the on sale date in the UK, differs from what it does within the United States. Our national database shows us this quite clearly and the site informs you of the date the issues are due. This seems to be the case with a few American magazines and the UK on sale date often does differ, due to the time that must be allowed for it to arrive into the UK. The only time you get a magazine on the exact sale date, is buying it in stores of from publisher's directly, as they send it from the printers. You had originally selected to begin with the Oct issue but we have changed it to the September edition, which will go Friday, due to the time the birthday falls. Since the dates of when they arrive into the UK, is out of our control, we cannot compensate. If there was a error from our end such as a manual problem or even a missing issue in the post, we would always compensate though! You spoke with my colleague and we both do apologise for any inconvenience. Unfortunately, we have little control of when the magazine goes on sale in the UK and is distributed to us here in this country. This is also the case with other online newsagents too, as they arrive into the UK at a similar time. This mean's it is not just us getting these issues later in the month, but other online magazine companies too. Hi, I am so so sorry to hear this! I can confirm we checked in with suppliers and were informed, issue 08 was not published, hence the gap in your subscription. I can confirm this means, nothing was deducted from your sub for this missing issue and an extra issue will be provided at the end of the subscription. The sept 21 issue is due on the 24th of September and this will be the next issue of your sub, kicking off your renewal. I really hope this is ok and thanks so much for your understanding. I renewed my subscription to Daphne's Diary on June 29. I have not yet received an issue! I realise that it takes a while to reach me in Australia, but over a month seems a little extreme! I subscribe to another magazine from the UK, and it arrives in a much more timely fashion.

Hi, I am so sorry to hear this. I can confirm it seems this was selected to begin with the next available issue, from the 30th of June. This means the renewal would have commenced from issue 06. I have altered this and can confirm issue 05 will go out today, via priority air mail. Please allow the maximum of 60 days for delivery of this issue however do bare in mind, this is the maximum and it is very likely to arrive much sooner, as you have probably realised with your previous sub. We send thousands of magazines over seas and the amount of comments on slow delivery, is extremely small. The magazine arrived within the expected period, however, it was folded in half and with scratches on the side. The aim of the magazine was to offer a friend who collects magazines with covers that are important to her (Billie Eilish) it was ugly to offer the magazine with this presentation. It is customary to buy magazines online where it usually comes wrapped in hard cardboard (like a book) or padded envelope. At Unique Magazines, it was the first time I bought it and the magazine was just wrapped in simple plastic. PS: Although the review indicates that it is possible to upload photos, I can't find the place to upload them. However, if you want to contact me, I am available to share the photos I have.

Hi, I am so sorry to hear this. We package the magazine's based on a few factors such as weight, cover price and location. If the magazine is larger and classed as a parcel, we send this over in a strong cardboard twist wrap packaging. Going forward, we have new strong cardboard envelopes to package all magazines, to prevent this happening. We have a very small number of customers who receive damaged magazines and I am so sorry this was damaged in transit, on the way to Portugal. Bought a three magazine subscription to Monocle as it was marginally cheaper than direct from the publisher. However, the magazines are not sufficiently well packed to withstand the Mail system and two of the three arrived damaged so far. Unique did replace the first one, and bubble wrapped it - it did arrive in marginally better shape, however, it needs rigid packaging. Will not be renewing sadly - will buy direct in future

Hi, I am so sorry to hear this. We choose this packaging based on a few different factors. This is all based on the weight of the magazine, cover price and location that it may be going, to ensure the magazine can withstand all the moving around, without much damage being caused. We rarely experience many customer order's being damaged so I am so sorry to hear this was the case for yourself. I am glad the resend arrived in slightly better shape than before. I can confirm gladly, moving forward that we will be packing these in stronger, cardboard envelopes to prevent damage. Two improvements I would love you to make:- 1. Send confirmation on the exact date the first issue of a subscription will be sent. 2. Send your customers a reminder when the subscription they paid for is due to run out 1 month before it's due to end. Currently it's a bit irritating you don't do 1 and 2 and I would have scored you 5 if you did. I paid for a subscription and I have no idea when the first issue will be sent - not good. Thanks.

Hi, Thanks for these improvements. We do send an order confirmation however, when the order is through publisher's we cannot give an exact start date. This is because we must send this to publisher's and allow them to process it before we can find an exact start issue for the order. We do send reminder's via the address label and via email, to tell you how many issues are left if the subscription is placed and dispatched by us. This particular order for you is by publisher's and so they dispatch it in this case. This means, it can depend on their service and whether they include reminder's for renewal's etc. I have emailed the publishing company to get the start date and I hope this is ok. I ordered a magazine called inside crochet. It always comes with a small gift and is double wrapped in the newsagent. I have received two copies - both in a white envelope with all wrapping removed and gift gone. I wish unique had told me they would remove this when I ordered. What happens to the giveaway? Do they just souvenir it? Disappointed and I want to cancel.

Hi, I am really sorry to hear this. All TV magazines are dispatched 1st class, a day earlier than the stores receive them in. The listings begin on the Saturday and so if the magazine arrives any later than this date, we will compensate by extending your subscription by an issue.
