“I find this magazine rather frustrating because the clues don’t always seem accurate for the answers. When I look up the answer I disagree that it matches the clue.
Also quite a few answers are strange words not commonly known. I don’t think words need to be odd or rare to make puzzles more clever.
I am a voracious reader with a good vocabulary and rather than finding my brain challenged I find it annoying.
I have a different puzzle collection magazine which I prefer.”

“I have an international subscription to Woman and Home, which has increased by 42% (fortytwo percent!!!) since last year from £175 to £250. How do you defend this exorbitant increase? I will have to find another way to get my magazine when this subscription ends...........”

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We're very sorry to hear about your disappointment with the increase in your subscription price.
We completely understand your concerns. Unfortunately, this increase is the result of new EU import regulations that came into effect on 1st July 2026, introducing additional charges on parcels entering the EU. As magazine subscriptions are dispatched issue by issue, these charges apply to every individual shipment throughout the subscription.
Rather than customers being asked to pay unexpected customs or handling fees when their magazines arrive, we've incorporated these costs into our pricing upfront. While we appreciate this has resulted in a significant increase for some international subscriptions, these charges are outside of our control.
We genuinely value your custom and are sorry that these changes have affected your experience. If you'd like to discuss your subscription in more detail, please don't hesitate to contact our customer service team—we'd be more than happy to explain the changes and answer any questions you may have.

I replied to your email yesterday with an update regarding your subscription. Unfortunately, the current issue of Daphne's Diary (Issue 04 2026) is out of stock, which is why your first magazine has not yet been dispatched.
My email explained the following:
"Thank you for your email.
I can confirm that the current issue (No. 04) of Daphne's Diary is out of stock, but we are due to receive Issue 05 2026 very soon.
As soon as we receive our order for Issue 05, we will get the first issue on your subscription dispatched.
Thank you for your patience and understanding."
I apologise for the delay and any frustration caused. We certainly do not take customers' money and ignore them, and we always aim to respond to enquiries as quickly as possible.
