“This is the second time Ive , used Rob and his team this year . I am restoring a very expensive classic motorcycle but when it came to fitting tyres to the newly repainted and very rare wheels it seemed that nobody could do it . The Universal boys stepped up to the plate ! Superb job and not a scratch . I said it wasnt a hurry but they sorted in in 24 hours . Grand lads and courteous to boot . (pun intended) Jack”

“My husband has used Universal previously, so when I discovered I had a nail in my Triumph Street Triple rear tyre I phoned up the Dartford centre. Rob was very helpful and said he may be able to fix it depending on where the nail is rather than just replacing the tyre. Im all for saving money at the moment this was music to my ears. Rob gave my bikes tyres a thorough looking over and advised that while the back tyre was fine and could be fixed but I should consider the front being replaced and have it matching the rear. Having only passed my test a few weeks previously it was reassuring that I was receiving good advice. Both tyres were all done and I was back on the road (carefully) within the hour. Big thank you to Rob and Lee for their hard work, for answering husbands bike maintenance queries and generally being nice guys who didn't mind me hovering. I had a great first experience with Universal in Dartford at the weekend and saved me from missing out on my first Brighton Ace Reunion Burnup!!!!”

“I have just had two tyres replaced at the Chelmsford branch and I was impressed with the Friendly helpful staff who explained the choices of tyres available instead of trying to sell the most expensive ones, and I have never had two tyres changed so fast.”

“Regret I rarely have reason to praise service received from retailers. However the abilities of your manager WHI MINSL at your Croydon Branch yesterday and today had me revisiting the best standards of customer care of yesteryears. Having a desperate need for a tyre replacement for a tyre written off my first approach to the branch resulted in advice that a specified Uniroyal tyre was not in stock, but would be ordered for Monday delivery; . After me making a number of phone calls to clarify what was(or not ) happening I was advised that the Uniroyal product was not scheduled for delivery on any near future date. My luck and temper improved enormously when the phone was answered by Mr WHI who confirmed the situation related to Uniroyal tyres, asked me for accurate information related to my tyre problem, spare tyre being used ,size required and tread pattern. He immediately offered a choice ; Goodyear or Avon. He invited me to visit the branch straight away , although it was approaching closing time, reviewed the points made during our phone conversation , clarified pricing,covered a number of safety factors posed by me related to new tread patterns, invited me to return the following morning when the new tyre could be fitted to my vehicle. Not to prolong this review your clearly have a young man here who besides being personable, is knowledgeable in terms of your product range and prices and is capable of turning "problems into opportunities" - he did in my case - he sold me a tyre! He is also clearly aware that the wages of all members of your organisation are paid by the customers- less customers less employment. KEEP HIM AND USE HIM!! My qualifications for comment?? - once upon a time I was employed to train staff to enjoy their work by keeping customers happy in the retail oil industry.”

“The staff at the Chelmsford branch (Springfield Rd) were fantastic on Friday the 19th. From the first phone call to the moment I left the centre the customer service was outstanding. They came out to me and put my spare on for me (I wasn't far from the centre) which was so kind of them and a huge help. On arrival my vehicle was dealt with immediately. While I waited staff engaged politely and continuously making me feel like a valued customer. When I got back into my vehicle the staff had put back all of my belongings correctly into my boot over my spare. Something I didn't expect but its the little things that make a big difference. I wont hesitate to recommend the team at Chelmsford. They were superb. Thank you for a fast and effective service. I am very impressed.”

“Got a replacement tire due to my heavily worn flat at the Greenwich branch. Terry did the 4 wheel alignment to fix up the tire wear problem that should have been noticed by the vw dealer the month before!”

“Went into the Springfield Road Chelmsford centre, with my spare on the car and my flat in the boot, the guys checked my wheel repaired the damaged valve. Put the wheel back on and stored away my spare and put all my boot back to rights. And all no charge!! What a service!!”

“visited Joe At thurrock after a very helpful telephone conversation, Having been in the motortrade myself for over 30 years I have always avoided places such as this as in the past they always seemed to try tuck you up. I was very pleased with the service received, very professional, (not expected to be honest) I had two new tyres and tracking on my girlfriends fiesta. The work seemed to take a bit longer that I usually get at my local private tyre garage but thats just me being impatient. Overall very happy and would certainly recommend them”

“If I could give them 6 stars I would! I brought in my car for a full service and change of tyres as I bought it used. Within 5 minutes the very helpful people of Universal Tyres advised me that my tires still had about 7000 miles left in them and that it was not worth it to get new tyres. They then mentioned that if there were any issues with the car and some extra costs were required, they would call me. They called about 1.5 hours later to advise me that from the initial checkup, the car looked very good and that they did not think a full service was required and that the car still had about 7000 miles left until the service. So the next logical question from me was how much I owed them for the initial work and time. They replied that I was being silly and that there was no cost and to pick up the car whenever I could. Such noble and uninterested action has really made me trust them and their advise. Rest assured that I will go to them for my future car related needs! Thank you very much!”

“Cannot recommend highly enough! The manager Ian at the Dartford branch was courteous, professional and kind. Being a woman, some tyre places treat you as unintelligent and ignorant about cars but these guys were absolutely brilliant. Explained what I needed and what I wanted them to check and they gave price, timescale and kept me updated. One of the best experiences I've had when sorting our tyres. 10/10. Will be coming back here from now on. Thank you.”

“Was told by another well known tyre/exhaust garage that my exhaust couldn't be fixed and I had to go to Audi direct. Also told that I had to pay £385 for tyres for my Audi. The friendly staff at greenwich universal said they would fix my exhaust service the car and get me tyres for the same price... Couldn't be happier.”
