Do not give them your Bank details! They will get monies out from your Bank. It is a pain cancelling. Takes a lot of your time getting them off your back. I would not recommend them to anyone. Caused me misery.

Our bill has rocketed and they are no help explaining it to us. On the phone every month. Steer well clear.

Horrendous utility company had to make a complaint to the energy ombudsman's office been 3 months trying to get a refund paid back. Glad I left this provider wont be returning and Don't recommend them . Don't keep credit on your account its difficult to get it back out of their grubby little hands.

Be warned- an absolutely horrendous scam company- unprofessional won’t tell you charges - made up early leaving charges and then each person who answers phone will lie to you- never received an email as to how much they were going to charge and then suddenly send a bill for £256 for leaving early after 2 months leaving them- charging more for energy bill when I’ve paid it - it’s the worst company I have ever had to deal with - which have put them at 4th position - I have lost trusting which for which companies to go for. The partners sell products lie and there’s no record this - they are scammers.

Signed up to a fixed term contract which was cancelled by Utilities Warehouse after a few months. Have several different reasons as to why they did this and my payments have doubled. No one responding to emails and complaints and customer services unable to help. DO NOT USE this company

Firstly I had a bundle account. With broadband and energy. We moved house and they upped the energy prices, even though we had a fixed rate at the old house. Then they billed me for months for broadband that wasn’t connected. Argued with me for months it was working, till and engineer attended finally and said it’s not connected at all. Weeks and weeks of my time sorting this. Then I asked for smart meters. Electric one went in. Gas still waiting months later. In the meantime the have APPARENTLY!!!! Not received any of my meter readings including the one that is now showing on my bill. And have slapped an extra £900 on top of my already £384 monthly bill. So this month I have to pay £1305. Nice, not that it’s not a struggle as it is at the moment. What makes it worse is they have offered £20 compensation for it taking months to fit the smart meter and just keep replying with condescending, patronising emails about not being flush enough to pay my bill. It’s disgusting, I’ll be paying this off and going elsewhere. I moved to them from Octopus who I had no issue, I just liked the UW rep at a networking event. Wish I’d gone with my gut and stayed with Octopus now. I’d at least still be able to eat for the month.

Customer service is s joke. They promise to call you back and it never happens. Only been with this company 5 months and have been very disappointed. I phone every week to try and get our problem resolved. I’m either promised a call back or get cut off after being put on hold. Emails don’t get answered. Absolute waste of time.

Gave me a false, low quote to lure me in and ended up costing me much more for all services. They really rip people off. They're so misleading, and customer service is horrible

I have never had a more frustrating experience than with Utility Warehouse. We have been consistently over billed with no explanation, or five conflicting (nonsensical) explanations. We finally managed to escape their clutches and are now in the middle of a formal complaint with the Ombudsman. Not only have we paid excessive and completely inaccurate amounts, the amount of time spent trying to rectify the problems every single month is beyond a joke. Avoid like the plague.

They have a refund of mine for £53 that they haven’t passed onto me. They have had it for 6 weeks and I can’t get it off them!!!!!!!!on hold for an hour trying to speak to a human and their emails are appalling. They ask the same questions even though they have all the info. THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW BY NOT PASSING MONEY A REFUND ONTO ME. I literally hate them

High Street banks hold pending amounts for 8 days maximum. These jokers hold for 30 days and then you still have to request your money be returned. A total of about 6 weeks - be wary when using the cashback card

Cashback card is sold as a benefit. Fine if no issues with the transaction. Site crashed whilst making a purchase, High St banks do t hold pending amounts after 8 days. These jokers hold onto your money for 30 days then make you wait a further 2 weeks while they process the refund

If there was a minus star rating they would get full marks!! Out of the 8months I was with them only 2bills where correct. Constantly over charged. In December I had to cancel direct debit as my use was £70 but due to computer error I was told it was nearly £300. Finally in January they wanted £500 for a month which I left 27th jan so they took the government funding away from both months so I lost £120 of the government funding due to their computer error no apologies. I paid the £260 which was correct just annoyed they refused to give me the government funding due to their error. After about 8hours worth of phone calls I only got correct bill after formal complaint. Terrible company!! AVOID at all cost!!

I’ve been trying to get a gas meter installed since November and 3 months later I’m still waiting for an appointment. In the meantime I have been charged twice for a supply I haven’t got. I was promised a refund the first time it happened, that didn’t materialise, just charged me again. UW use a 3rd party company so have no control but this has been the case for ages. They know it’s a total shambles but still are happy to sign up new customers despite this. Zero integrity and zero service. Avoid this company at all costs

I cancelled my switch within the 14 day cooling off period. I am being billed for their services, which is a crazy amount of money as they have never had a meter reading!!!!!!!!!!! and have even had a debt collectors letter. I cannot rate their customer service, because there is none! I was told by the debt collection people, to call UW and ask them to listen to the call I made to cancel my transfer. As I got through to an adviser, his system crashed and could not continue with the call. Avoid these people.

Absolutely dreadful. They left my family without gas for several months. Constantly kept closing my complaint without fixing it and i had ti go through the home gargle of calling, complaining, waiting 2 weeks for my complaint to be escutated again - multiple times. After 4 months with no heating my house became damp, witch made my partners asma dreadful. Our young children had to stay with family as the house was unfit for them. Compensation was refused, never even got an apology.
