Ordered the Xbox series x and paid upfront to then be told on release date that they have no stock for me and will refund within 10 days. That meant no where else had any stock, where I could have just ordered it from elsewhere to begin with.

I have used Very for quite a few years now, and ordered an advent calendar from hotel chocolat', it was for my husband's birthday, so I told him he could open it in November, however, FIVE of the doors were empty, because it was a present, I was so cross, I ripped the box open to make sure they hadn't fallen down the inside, they hadn't, so I threw the box away in disgust. I paid £25 for these lovely chocolates (24 chocolates) and decided I would complain. I was asked for proof the windows were empty and proof I had actually received them, I said I would not be so petty to complain about five missing chocolates, if it hadn't actually happened. VERY value their policy more than their customers, I told them what I spend with them, which is over £2k a year, so they took £5 off my balance, then I told them, I will take my custom elsewhere....they're only interested in you spending as much money as you can, I have a credit limit of nearly £5K, I will pay my balance and shop elsewhere. Disappointed X Customer

They sell FAKES! I ordered a Gatineau cream But when it arrive and open the box I noticed it was fake. Normally this line of cream comes in a prestigious looking sealed box. When this arrived nothing about it made me believe that this was a genuine article. Firstly there was no box, the two pots of cream have been clumsily wrapped in bubble wrap, there was no instructions,And no customer service number for this brand. To make things worse they have shut down the coal centres due to Covid therefore there is no way of assuring a safe return. I am now having to engage my bank to dispute this. Save yourself the money and shop somewhere else

Very.co.uk could stop you getting a mortgage .This is an update .My original complaint stated that a minimum payment of £5 was due on my account .I paid £50 in not realising that if i paid off my buy now pay latter balance i would still owe the minimum £5 payment on the main account . Without any warnings or reminders Very put a mark on my credit file effecting my score . Even a mobile phone company would send a reminder . I received a letter today from Very confirming that this was there policy. No reminders , no asking if i was experiencing financial difficulties just a strike on your credit score . Outrageous i think

When a person buys things on credit its because they cannot afford full cash price. Very is a total RIP off. Such high interest rates its obscene. I, for one, shall never purchase from them again. Even a phone call to them is expensive. Sir so and so and the other sir must be raking it in at us plebians cost. Stand up folk!

I have been a customer of Very for over 6 years and never complained about items purchased but today, I have decided to STOP ordering anything from Very because they can now NOT BE TRUSTED. An Eden Double Bed Frame purchased and delivered 5th March 2020 has several faults. I called Very customer service to report the issues on the 1st of Oct and 13th Oct 2020 but got no correspondence of issue reported. I called to report the same issues again on the 20th of Oct and Very said they will send their repair engineer to inspect and went on and on about me being charged £45 if the engineer reports it was customer damage. I asked what are the criteria to confirm the faults may be caused by the customer but Very repair department could not give me a sensible answer. On the 27th of Oct,Very rogue engineer came for inspection. He was in a hurry to leave without allowing me show him all the issues. Thereafter, I received no correspondence nor call from Very as regards the engineers visit, no email, no engineer's report, nothing! Only for me to check my account today 29th Oct and discovered £45 deducted from my account with the rogue engineer claiming some of the issues on the bed was caused by someone trying to open the room window. What effrontery! If I did not call Very today, I would not have known nothing about this development. No response from Very unless I call. No email, nothing. Is this not criminal???? Obviously Very sold me a bed which is not of SATISFACTORY quality. I have now raised a formal complaint with photos of faulty bed via registered post and will take this matter further if I do not get appropriate response from Very in 14 days. In the meantime, BEWARE OF VERY!!!!! Very cannot be trusted!!!!!

Let me order a case for my s 20 fe , which they said was in stock when it obviously wasn't . 2 days later , no delivery , wasted 20 minutes on the robot voice which is useless , wasted further minutes waiting to speak to an advisor ..hung up in the end ( which is probably what they want ) then get email saying there was unexpected delay with my order ... Tracking via the app is a joke too, says nothing except they've took my order

Ripped Off with a huge 289 £ Interest for a 4 days BNPL Delay I had bought something from VERY with the BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later). The contract expired on 9th October. There was no notification on my mobile or call from them stating that my contract was expiring, and that I would be charged a hefty interest of 200 + pounds if I don’t pay by October 9th I remembered that I needed to close this in October and called them to close the account and I got this response from their customer service manager that I still must pay that 200 + pound interest even if it is only 4 days delay. I feel like being cheated and taken advantage of. Genuinely, VERY don’t want customers to remember about the end date of BNPL contract so that they can charge people with heavy interest. I have explained to the customer service people that none of their emails reached my inbox nor did they text me, or a letter by post or a call. As they send 1000 emails in the form or marketing, my email service automatically redirects them to “SPAM” folder which made me miss the statement that they sent me. Customer service people were so insensitive and rude to me even after I told them several times that I’m ready to settle the amount with a slight penalty, but they want the complete 289 £ interest for a 4-day delay. I told them I want to escalate for which they said it won’t be of any use as I would be receiving the same response as what I got today and that I need to pay the complete amount. What I don’t understand is how can a Company be so insensitive to people when the whole world is going through unprecedented difficult times. The least we expect is empathy as Commoners. Just like the many out there, I’m also facing financial crunch and uncertainty during these times. All I was asking them to be lenient and charge a reasonable penalty and settle my case. Unfortunately, they wanted to show their greed and ruthlessness at this time when compassion and humility is expected from mankind. I’m feeling helpless, utterly sad and exploited. Commoners like me cannot do much against wealthy, powerful companies like VERY, can we? The maximum I could do is stop buying from them and maybe provide customer feedback. I’ll do that. I will NEVER EVER BUY or PROMOTE VERY

In a nutshell my credit rating is now poor and I couldn't even take out a credit card if I wanted one. My husband and I can't get a mortgage as I have a default registered under my name for the next 6 years. This is as a result of Very creating a second account and I didn't notice for some time because the direct debit was small at around £5 per month. When my husband and I got a joint account I changed the direct debit to come out of there. Then I was notified by my old bank a direct debit still active. I called Very and asked if there is maybe another account by mistake. Gave them my maiden name, old address but they couldn't find anything and told me to cancel that direct debit. It turns out I did have another account but I found out when my husband received a call from Lowell debt collector. They got his number from the Government gateway! Very excuse is they wrote to me a few times and hands up I didn't open my post because I get inundated with offers from Very and when I opened my post after speaking with Lowell some some were offers and some collecting debt. I work in Care and have been working solidly since COVID with family bereavements. Who wants to open Very letters with offers when you lose someone you love? Even though I was paying one account on time at the same time they didn't match the two addresses and didn't take long to sell my debt for all of £100. BUT it has taken them 3 months to deal with my complaint due to reduced staff because of the virus and say they have looked into it and no record of my calls. My call provider have sent me my call list and financial ombudsman have been notified. This company don't care and need to be stopped!!!

I don’t even know where to start with how bad my experience has been with ordering through Very. I ordered a bed headboard, I initially was excited to order it as it was reasonably priced and quick delivery. I order the headboard however received no confirmation of order email and my Very account did not acknowledge the order, after phoning customer services they advised me that my order had not gone through and I should order another one should I want to. They assured me it had not gone through and I would not be charged twice. However, I had been charged twice. I phoned again to cancel one order and was advised that they were unable to cancel one of the orders. I waited in to receive the bulky delivery, delivery however with Yodel was late and late at night I was advised it was now being delivered the next day. The next day the delivery of two headboards arrived when I was out. I immediately telephoned Very to arrange collection of one of the headboards so that I could receive my money back. I am a key worker and as such cannot work from home and they could not stipulate an evening or specific delivery slot, so I had to take a day off work to ensure collection of the unwanted headboard. Again, Yodel missed their daily allocated delivery slot (very frustrating when as a Key Worker you have taken a day off). They did however arrive very late in the evening after me telephoning yodel to see what had happened. They took the headboard however did not give me a collection receipt. I have now been informed by Very that they do not have a record of my collection being successful and as such cannot refund me. I am now faced with having to foot the bill for an item I do not have and never wanted. I am not highly paid and this has left me with added expenses. I CANNOT EXPLAIN how hard work it was arranging delivery and collection for this item. And I am incredibly frustrated that I am left taking the brunt of their inaccurate customer service advice and poor delivery/collection services. It has caused me so much stress and heartache in the loss of money. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT ORDER FROM VERY, save yourself the frustration, if I could give minus stars I would.

I am still waiting for a £629 tv removing off my account. 4+ phone calls 10+ messages reassurances this will be off your account within 72 hours and I am still waiting. The TV I order was on delayed delivery waiting for stock but the stock never arrived so I cancelled it. This has been rocking on for 3 months. Customer services are the biggest joke I have ever known. How hard is it just to refund the money so I can cancel my account and block all future emails?
