Set up an account and given a customer account number and a high credit limit. I placed an order and was accepted and told i would receive an email within 15 minutes. E mail dint arrive, I phoned customer service to ask why, i was put through to the accounts department to check my details. to my amazement I was told I did not meet the criteria and would close my account immediately. close . I find that strange as my credit rating is excellent with all the credit rating agencies. The lady on the phone was very rude and would not answer my questions regarding why this would happen, very poor customer service.

Why do companies like Very get away with offering next day delivery? Been waiting today for an order that was meant to be next day delivery. It never turned up. I called this afternoon as still hadn't received any delivery information. The customer services lady said "the system is slow. So what I can see, that you can not is that it has been dispatched and is out for delivery. It can be delivered anytime up untill 7pm" Still didn't arrive! I just received email at 10pm saying order has been dispatched. I look at tracking info and see that delivery company only received the item at 8.45pm this evening. Don't trust this company they obviously lie.

if you are reading this i only hope it is not to late to stop your order. Please please do not use This company. Customer service is beyond terrible. Very ( no pun intented) long tale. The highlights Table and chairs ordered. One chair broken and requested a repkacement. 2 weeks later 5 calls to very (non) customer services and we still have a broken chair and no expected delivery of a replacement. As yet very have failed to return a single call or email as promised. We have sadly paid for this and very clearly could not careless about customer services. The saddest part is we like the set and want to keep it. Arhhhhhh

Sent me information that there’s a product recall, kept waiting on the phone for hours & still haven’t spoke to anyone & every way of contacting them by email is returned with you can not use this line of contacting us. Ridiculous.

You Charge delivery on a £230 order! Funny you only see this right at the end, after all the data input and I don't have time to shop elsewhere. Hope this will be the last time our paths cross

Agree with previous reviewer returns process has been made over complicated on purpose. I have been waiting nearly a month for items returned to be credited back to my account, every day it shows on tracking(which is hidden deep withing faq's shame on you) returned my end. Sorted at National hub. End of. Still on my a/c not credited back. Assume very have got into an investing £ not theirs for, a penny here multiplied by millions of, customers nets them a pretty penny for doing absolutely nothing. It's no different to stealing. I was promised an item would, be credited back yesterday & customer svce would call. Not credited back, yes she did call On Mt LANDLINE which the phone number linked to my a/c is my mobile & I was out. Another trick? Not of the staff member but very, shoddy and deceitful service. When I can find out how to close my a/c haha I shall do so and go to small claims court over the £95 I don't owe them with proof on my devices of all conmunications(phone calls recorded and tracking statues photos) and I'll see them in court. Good company turned bad. Another Loyal and always paid up customer leaves absolutely DISGUSTED.

Do not trust customer service when they are promising you a discount code after purchase you do not get a discount and end up overpaying for the item. TERRIBLE NEVER AGAIN.

Please Please avoid using Very, 54.9% APR says it all. Possibly illegal Buy Now Pay Later interest scheme. Absolutely disgusting financial rip off, preying on people who get in financial difficulties because of Very's 54.9% interest. They should be closed down.

l,ve been using Very for years & like their products,but they have changed their returns now & you have to print labels off ,l haven’t got a printer lm a pensioner & not really very good at doing online forms etc; so sadly l will not be using again 😕

Considering that the core business model is to take advantage of people's financial instability (like Klarna for example), I'd recommend avoiding this company. If you're reading this, please do your future self a big favour and only buy things you can afford.

I wish I could Very less than 1. They have a system which is not user friendly. Twice I have penalised for not paying a £3.00 delivery charge and yet I would be making payments to the company. Rude customer service and an example of a company which has lost all sense of common sense! Steer clear of them

review on the most disgusting customer service experience I’ve ever received in my life. I ordered this product and paid for installation because I’m 33 weeks pregnant. Everything seemed ok with the order until today, its delivery day! Firstly I was told I would get a call from Arrow XL up to 30 minutes prior to delivery- this didn’t happen. Then when I went onto the tracking because I’d not heard anything and it said that I would be having the item delivered by Steve and Kieron- this didn’t happen! Instead I got the most vile man who would only tell me his name was Jim. He started by bringing the dishwasher in without a mask on. He then stopped at the bottom of my staircase and said it won’t fit through the door and that they wouldn’t take the packaging off. This was confusing because they were meant to be installing it? When asked he said we don’t install dishwashers we aren’t trained and don’t have tools. I asked him what I’m supposed to do because I can’t move the dishwasher being 33 weeks pregnant or get to ground floor of my house because you’ve left it at the bottom of my stairs, blocking my exit? He said it’s not my problem! I asked him to call his manager at Arrow XL he said he didn’t have a manager??? I asked him who he actually worked for and said on behalf of Arrow XL. I asked him why have I paid for installation if you don’t do it? He just laughed and said VERY will tell you anything to get a sale and it’s not his problem. I asked him if this had happened before and he said yeah it happens a few times a week and only caused a problem ‘when delivering to nutters in Plymouth’. Getting nowhere with this absolute imbecile who says disrespectful rude things like that, he left! I called VERY and spoke to a guy called Ryan, whilst Ryan took the brunt of my upset pretty well- all he could do was escalate the issue with Arrow XL about their 3rd party and call his team leader to see what he could offer in the way of goodwill £60 and a refund for delivery and installation. Leaving me stuck upstairs unable to get to water or food and having to call for someone to come to the house and help me! This is most upsetting experience I’ve ever had with any company. I’m still in shock about the whole situation and felt verbally violated in my own home- to then having no immediate support from VERY because apparently it was unfortunate that it’s happened at a weekend when nobody else could be sent out to help me!

Your service full rubbish. From first day you send to my house washing machine and drayer I calling you I send emails I reported my washing machine faulty but nobody helping you just said call this number or that number. Every single day you send emails about payment and you not care about my faulty item just calling about payment . I am not paying anymore already you got half payment 10 times you told me we send Engnear or we replace your washing machine but you did nothing

Bought an expensive laptop - order went through, and so did my money. If I hadn't checked the online account I have with them, I would've had no clue that the order was apparently declined later. I have no way of getting to customer service - the online chat is absolutely useless and the customer team is not available by phone. Thieves.

VERY ONLINE SHOPPING - Please email your complaints to one of the 'senior executive' team' as this company is unethical, unprofessional and in some ways fraudulent. VERY charge customers for items that are faulty and do not refund items that have been returned. They have a system in place that is there to con the customer and often the most vulnerable customers too . As people with plenty of money would not shop in VERY. Rest assured the Beckhams do not shop here. In my circumstances - I returned a faulty Hoover -which VERY received back and refunded me - ( this was only after I had to go through a process of speaking to Hoover first to do some checks to verify it was faulty) Hoover verified it was faulty and then gave me a code that I had to call VERY back and give said code. This 'code' then permits VERY call agent to authorise a return and a collection...... I thought that was it, job done. As it would be with any other reputable company. But oh no - VERY want to try and get any money they can out of customers so out the blue without ANY notification not via EMAIL/LETTER/TEXT/PHONECALL ( VERY had plenty of ways to contact me) VERY re-charge this Hoover back to my statement account. VERY chose not to tell me that they decided to do this. There no written/no phone call/no text explanation as to why - Instead the Hoover charge just reappears on my statement as a current debit - together with admin charges! A) Hoover is faulty as far as I, the customer was concerned B) I've since bought another vacuum C) I don't have the Hoover they are charging me for D) Very put the re- charge on a normal monthly payment which is different to the original purchase agreement. The original was BNPL ( Buy now pay later) Why would VERY re-charge for an item, that not only there is a discrepancy on - but not tell the customer they were doing that and why ? Plus change the charge from original item method ordered which was BNPL - ' ''buy now pay later' - into a pay right now charge?? I suspect it so VERY can start to charge me interest! Hoping I would not notice it in my account. No doubt also so that they could add a late payment fee too. All my other items on account are on BNPL scheme for at least another 8 months . . Unbelievable ! This Company must be avoided like the plague. Do a search online for the Very group CEO board and you will get the senior managers contact details. It is those people that need to be accountable for the way they run this business. I have wasted an hour this morning on the phone to two agents who have not solved this mess. VERY are in the wrong to not even inform the customer a charge is being added and why that charge is being re-added. No transparency and honesty at VERY. I will be escalating this complaint to the senior managers to get a auditable response on this scam.

I wouldn't even rate this one star but had to by default. Placed my very first order yesterday for delivery today, took my money quickly from my bank account. Item is now out of stock, - I waited in all day to find out after calling that my item is not in stock. No communication or email from Very at all. Terrible service, customer services seem fed up and are unhelpful, just keep telling you to look at 'my account' crikey what a business, good job not all online retailers operate like this, they need to get ahead of the game. :( wont be using ever again, such a bad experience. My item was out of stock when i purchased it but the website said it was in stock. The warehouse figures obvs dont relate to the website... never ordering from them again,

Like the other comments I have read there should be a zero star. I have been a Kays - Littlewoods customer for more than 20 years have spent thousands with them over the years, I have a £10000 credit limit with them even though my balance is zero at the moment. I was looking at washing machines yesterday and the one I wanted was £499.99 on Littlewoods and £120 cheaper on Very, so I thought I would open account with Very and order my Washer I was declined credit, how can Littlewoods give me £10000 and Very not let me have a washer for £379.99 when they are owned by the same company, even though I wanted to pay over three months. Well having a washer delivered tomorrow by another company. wont be giving Shop Direct any more of my money there loss.
