I have had the worst experience with Vision Express at one of their sites in London. I have been chasing since the summer for answers to my complaint. No customer care. No respect and back tracking and broken promises along with having an incorrect prescription I have been to the hospital since and was told I should have raised my issues with General Optical Council as the care from Vision Express has been negligent.

Bad experience Staff okay they tried there best but the company that make the glasses terrible. Had bubbles in the both lenses sent back 2 weeks later glasses came back same problem couldn’t explain what was going wrong. I can’t be the only one who’s has had this problem the only way to check your lenses is to wear another pair of glasses and look though the other lenses.

I am disappointed on vision express as it is rip off. I bought glasses for£300 and second pair for£150 few years ago. I wanted to update my lenses for blue light filter but wanted to keep my frames. So blue light filter lenses would cost me £60 which is ok. The not ok thing was that they told me that they have to charge me£70 to fit lenses to my old frames for each frame. What an absurd. I will try somewhere alse!!!

Had a eyesight test booked for Friday 17th at Meadowhall - Sheffield branch. They called at almost 8PM the night before to say the optician had called in sick and my appointment was cancelled. Did I want to rebook for the following Friday? "No, I'll check online and see if another branch has a closer appointment. They did and I booked at Balby - Doncaster for Wednesday 22nd. I was half way there and they called me to cancel at short notice. That was there words, I was actually within 20 minutes of my appointment. That's not short notice, that's unacceptable notice. I'll give Boots a try, not enough life left to keep wasting time with Visio Express.

Terrible experience, wont recommend at all. They only want to sell, they do not care client's need and well being only trying to get the most out of client. They charged me extra and do not respect their own promotion, Charged for unti-fog yet the glass is terrible, always foggy and never goes away. Stay away from this BRAND at any cost.

Ordered sunglasses in June. Was told 7-10 days. Still waiting lie after lie and just checked the status and 2 more weeks added on ? That will be nearing 3 months. Sunglasses in winter by the looks of it. Avoid this company at all costs.

Had glasses just under a year, small screw came out causing loss of one lens, had taken their insurance out expecting a free repair, only to be charged a further £21 as an excess, but as it was a manufacturing fault in the first place was not happy about it.

Very unprofessional attitude. Booked 2 appointments over phone, didn’t receive any confirmation. Called again after 3 days to confirm but got to know they have been cancelled. Didn’t receive confirmation, or cancelled appointment notification. Very irresponsible and unprofessional.

Total wast of time and a rip off. The chap at Cheltenham high street vision express was not at all helpful. Your better off purchasing from elsewhere as all he cared about is a purchase from him.

I got text from Vision Express informing me my annual free eye test would soon be due, I got an appointment for.Mon 5th July at 2.30 pm in Lisburn (15 miles away).when I arrived they did the pre test checks and when I saw the optician she said I would have to pay for test as it wasn't a full year since my last test ,needless to say I didn't pay and won't be back

This review is for the Chester le Street branch. Had a eye test done a week ago and they could not supply Ray Ban sun glasses of my choice with prescription lenses. I visited today 21.06.21 to ask for pupil distance and was told point blank I could not have it as I had not purchased glasses even though they could not supply. It would have took all of 30 seconds to give me said pupil distance and I had already said that I would be purchasing my "normal glasses" there. The manageress was rude and would not engage. Consequently I will not be going back there again. Disgusting service.

At the end of my eye test in a small unventilated room at the at Sidmouth branch, I was shocked when the optician told me that she had chosen not to be vaccinated against covid. There are many elderly people in Sidmouth, some of whom may not have been able to be vaccinated for various reasons. It is massively irresponsible for the optician not to advise customers, before their appointment, that she is an anti-vaxxer so that they can make the decision whether to attend or not.

Had an eye test 5 years ago and was told I had cataracts and might want to think about surgery in 2/3 years time. Had another eye test 3 years later as my sight had deteriorated quite significantly and I was very concerned. Told the optician I wanted to be referred. Before even testing my eyes I was given a lecture on the dangers of having surgery. I was told after the test there was no sign of cataracts and that I needed much stronger glasses and should wear varifocals. I said I wasnt happy but the optician was pushy and so I thought well she knows best and bought them, although walked away feeling she was more of a sales person than optician! Several months later and eyesight still deteriorating I paid to see a consultant who informed me upon examination that I have ‘significant cataracts’!! I’m now awaiting surgery. I’m also awaiting a refund from Vision Express!

All they wanted to do was to sell me glasses. I felt they were happy that I have cataracts and my prescription kept changing, more money for new glasses. Would not put me on the list for surgery as it was not considered bad enough. I have since had surgery privately and was told my cataracts were really bad. Optometrist was really rude to me so I shall not be going back to Axminster, I am free.
