I was with Talk mobile paying £15 a month then Vodafone took over. The first month with Vodafone they took £80 out of my acount then £70 the month after they then cut me off so I had to pay the balance of £54 so I stupidly paid that. 2 weeks after I was cut off saying I need to pay my bill of £65. So yeah I'm involving trading standards and financial ombudsman. They told me I was going over my data when I have it switched off when I'm at work then I connect to my WiFi at home. I went to Spain during this time and wasn't able to use my phone. Just shocking. People don't go with Vodafone they rip you off honestly you're best off with sim only. Disgusting the way I've been treated

I was on my pay as you go with Vodafone going on with my life with no debt problems, before I know it Vodafone kept calling me asking me to join a contract ( DON'T DO IT! IT'S A TRAP!!!!!!!) they said I was paying more money that being on a contract would be better, I fell for the scam and before I know it instead of £20 or max of £40 a month they did not stop my data from running I changed from a £20 20gb because they have no unlimited data so I increased it to £40 for 40gb but within a month they left my data uncapped and ran me up £545 (SHOCKED!) on my txt I called Vodafone but they said that they can not do anything untill I pay up £275 but am a full-time student, that could not even be possible for me to cough up at a go, then within a few weeks they took my bill to a debt collectotion agancy so they started calling me to ask for the whole £545 which has now increased to £585. I have now been advised to go Citizens advice and Ombudsman to file a bigger complaint on Vodafone. They are horrible so PLEASE SO NOT FALL FOR THE VODAFONE SCAM!!!!!!!!

Vodafone has lost my trust and I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. They keep on stealing money from my bank account by taking much larger monthly payments from my credit card, despite a much lower, agreed cost per month. When I try to contact them about this, they promise to refund the money back to my card but I have never yet received a refund. A dishonest company who will just rob your money! Would NOT recommend to anyone!

I have only given one star because I can't leave none. My account has been plagued with issues. From my DD not being collected regularly to service restriction due to aforementioned error. NOT my error.. Vodafone for what ever reason didn't collect the payments leaving me playing catch up. Also, I was miss sold a contract believing it was an early upgrade- I was told as I had been a loyal customer for the past 16 years I could upgrade early, i was left with 2 phone lines plus handsets and hours on hold to sort that issue out. Finally reached the end of my last contract with them in August 17 to be told that even though i owed no money to them, my contract was over and the handset paid for.. I would need to pay £50 for a months service until they could release me to PAYG!! WWHHAAAT??? My original contract was on £37!! Absolutely ridiculous. I have left now and will never go back.. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

Where do I start? I ordered broadband with them on the 1st of September. On this date, I was told that I was booked in with an engineer for the 18th. So I travelled to nottingham for that date, having to take time off specifically for this. Then on the morning of the 18th, i'm sent an email telling me to 'get ready for my installation on the 21st'. After waiting hours on hold, i'm told to wait until 8 for the engineer, which I knew wasn't going to happen. So on the 21st, when I'm not in the county, I get a call telling me that the bt open zone guy is outside. Once I tell Vodafone about this problem, they were quick to give me 50gb free if I was with Vodafone mobile (which I'm glad i'm not), or add 'credit to my account', which costs them nowhere near as much as it costs me to travel on short notice and take days off work to be stood up. After calming down and agreeing to have an engineer come on the 12th of October (21 days notice), an engineer shows up on the 10th. Which was incredibly inconvenient, because it made me late for work, waiting for this guy to do absolutely nothing as it turns out. Then I called to find out why this was the case, and was told that 'engineers come whenever they're free and around your area'. Now, even a child can point out why this would be an infinitely bad idea, especially since if you're unavailable for your surprise visit, you're charged a missed appointment fee. But that aside, the broadband still wasn't working after installation, I once again called Vodafone (18th time by this point), and was told that it wouldn't go live until the 12th. Which I thought was fair. The 12th finally came, and the broadband still wasn't working, so when I called (19th time), I was told that 'the broadband order on my account was cancelled', and that apparently 'this is a rare situation that never happens, but they're going to try to fast track my activation date'. After hearing this nonsense, I was contacted later in the day to be given a status update saying 'btw, nothing has happened yet'. Probably the least informative update to ever have to endure. I called back later that day to be told that I had an engineer visit on the 23rd of October, which I never booked and had no idea about. I still wouldn't have known this date unless I had called them, and it's lucky I did. I was told that the openzone man had not installed the line properly, and I need another appointment on a date I never agreed upon. I had decided to cancel my account with them, and they literally encouraged me to leave. No retentions, no explanation, just 'shop around and we'll be happy to cancel your contract free of charge since you're within your first 30 days'. What's interesting about this, is that if I had waited until the 23rd, and nothing had happened, I'd have been outside of my 30 days, and would've been expected to pay a cancellation fee, which felt almost like a plot to trap me within their horrible service. Not once did I feel like they were listening to my struggle, and till this day, I still haven't received my cancellation email. It's almost as if they're trying to be sleazy with their services to suck money out of you. I now get nothing from their lack of competence, but wasted time and money, while these guys laugh all the way to the bank with for their lack of half decent customer support. I still have no internet thanks to these clowns. I call them clowns because their service is absolutely laughable. I honestly wish I could review less than one star, because I think even that would be too generous.

By far the worst customer service ever. Been having problems for over a year and still not sorted. You have a problem and get put through to some idiot in Egypt yet if you go through to sales it's someone in england. DO NOT JOIN VODAFONE

Its more a case of what went right? Nothing! It's difficult to know where to begin. No one can follow simple instructions. No one listens to you properly so they always get things wrong. I've lost count of the times I have called to rectify a mistake they made in changing from contract to pay as you go when my contract ended. ( they took the wrong phone off) Today again I have just spent so long trying to sort this out that I almost ran out of battery it took that long. Now I am told that the only way to rectify this is a new sim, which I will then need to port my number to when it arrives, although they admit it's their fault! Both people I spoke to had such strong accents and spoke so fast that I had difficulty understanding what they were saying. Wouldn't let me speak with a manager as " I can assure you they will say the same as me". I gave up in the end and can only hope that after the fifth time of trying that it's sorted this time. I'm not holding my breath. Watch this space. They have given me discounts, months free etc., but honestly, all we need is good service to begin with. I only use vodaphone because the coverage is the best here. If you have a choice, don't touch them. Having said all that, I've recently had cause to use their store in Stratford upon Avon for another reason, and found them very helpful.

The most shambolic and useless customer service I have had the mis-pleasure of experiencing. How can a company of this size get things so badly wrong? After numerous calls, web chats, emails, further calls to get my problem resolved I am still no further along! If they could produce the recording of me agreeing to a new contract the issue could be resolved in 2 minutes. I have wasted hours and hours of my time telling my story over and over again to so many different people. I will no longer speak to them on my mobile as they are incapable of finding the recordings of calls that I have had with them. I now communicate by email or on my work land-line so I can record all conversations. I am being overcharged every month and have been for well over a year. I can't stop paying or they will put a black mark on my credit record. How is that fair! Looking at a lot of other reviews I'm not alone. I see they were fined over £4 million this year already. I'm sure that will be increasing .....

Awful service. I left vodafone a while back when my phone contract ended, I recently got a pay-as-you-go with them and so I tried to set-up an online account so that I can top-up and monitor my phone, but the hassle I've been through already is unreal. Now I remember exactly why I left them! I set up the new account and couldn't log in, despite requesting a new password the site just kept giving me errors. The customer advisor had the cheek to tell me that there wasn't an account (despite the fact that my email address was already used as a username, which was my doing) then they decided to set up a new account for me, despite me pointing this out. They point blank ignored my questions and completely disregarded what exactly was the issue. Then, when they actually set-up the new account for me, the memorable details they gave me were wrong so I still couldn't get into the new account. Contacted for the third time and finally got a temporary password (which really they should of just done in the first place! If only they LISTENED). Now that I am actually in my new account, I noticed, not only are the memorable information they provided way off, but so are my actual details, for example, my name is Zoe and they have me under MR.......just makes me think what have they actually done right and whether they make any effort at all!

I’ve honestly never written a review on here but I’m literally sat here crying out of frustration. I just don’t understand how they can treat me like this? I had a contract through Vodafone previously When I lost my phone and needed a replacement. I foolishly took out a contract with them again. I can’t tell you how stressful this whole situation has been. I don’t know what more I can do now other than just pay off the 18 months left on my contract and just switch to another network. I switched banks and it took 4 weeks to receive my bank card so I was cut off which is fair enough. After a few months I owed them £255.72 which seemed high but to be honest, I just wanted to be able to use my phone again. I made the payment by BACS (bank transfer) on the 17th September. I called vodafone to inform them & they took the restriction off. The next day they put the restriction on again. I called 191 and the advisor said he was reporting the last person I’d spoken to as I hadn’t paid. I work in an office. BACS payments go in straight away. The next day, the next advisor I spoke to said it takes 10 working days. Right okay. Called complaints a week later and even though I was very frustrated and angry at the situation, spoke to him politely and asked what I should do? I said that I had paid by BACS. He replied “what?”. So I said “BACS”. He said “never heard of it. Go to a vodafone store”. Wow. That’s their complaints department. I drove to my nearest vodafone store, showed her my bank statement, updated my records and told me to call vodafone. I called them and said “Are my payments all up to date now?” And the advisor said that they were to which I was very relieved and could finally move on from the situation. Until the next day, when I received a text message to say that I still haven’t paid my bill and they were restricting my services. I called vodafone free from my phone, again, and the advisor apologised and said it was a mistake - he removed the restriction, again. It doesn’t end there. I wish it did. They’ve only gone and put the restriction on again. I can’t even call 191 this time. I spoke to a lady on web chat (through my WiFi) and she apologised and said that she would take the restriction off. She hasn’t. I honestly don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve never experienced customer service like this before. I’m so frustrated and they are literally the worst network provider ever. I’ve been with o2, t mobile, Orange, and since then EE as well. I don’t recommend them at all. I’m leaving them and I’m going to another network provider. This is just unnecessary stress and I can’t trust a word they say to me because they just let me down over and over again.

This was the 3rd phone store I had visited that day in a quest to find a pay as you go SIM for a basic phone that didn't need a monthly top up. Dave served me quickly and efficiently and knew immediately what iI needed.

Absolute shambles of a company, even the simplest requests can turn into massive issues taking days to resolve. The customer service is the worst I have ever seen with continual lies and deceit to get you off the line, not to mention all the times I've been cut off whilst on hold of transferred to another department who have no idea why, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IT'S AN ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES!!!!

I started the order two months ago, after a series of errors they said I'd be up and running on the 21st September but my old provider wouldn't cut me off until I was online. Well I've been 10 days without internet, the customer service has been abysmal and now they said it will be another 3 weeks until I'm live. They refuse to send me a USB dongle to tide me over and I wish I'd never gone to them.

We have a business account and the user went over the data allowance with no alert. What should have cost £50 in a package ended up being billed as £507.00 which is absolutely ridiculous. They refused to halve the bill for that one handset, so we are now taking our business elsewhere meaning another network provider will benefit from our £5820 annual usage and we have been with them in excess of 10 years. Disappointed!!!!!

I want to switch from BT to Vodafone and Vodafone cancelled my account twice for no reason. when I spoke to the Vodafone rep they said that it is their system fault. The price of Vodafone 76 was 24 GBP/ month now it has become 20 GBP/month. Pathetic customers service. They said that they will contact me but they haven't. Avoid Vodafone. I agree.
