Vodafone customer service along with the people working in Vodafone stores - the worst service I have ever experienced... To begin with, in June 2017 I received a call offering me to upgrade my contract. The one I had was £20 per month for 20gb and unlimited texts and calls, however the girl taking to me asked if I wanted to change it for a contract that is £40 per month, it would include 40gb and unlimited texts and calls. I said no, because the contract I had was good for me. Anyway, after a month I received a bill that was for the new contract. I called Vodafone straight away and they were acting surprised that my plan was changed without my permission. The Vodafone Customer Care workers said that they will fix it straight away. So I waited about a week, but nothing has been done. I called Vodafone again and I got the same result again - nothing. I visited the store in Camden Town, London and explained the situation, but they just told me that it is not their business and I should call Vodafone Customer Care again. And so I did. Can you guess what result I got after a call? Nothing has changed, of course. I went to Vodafone in Selfridges and the girl working there told me that she can’t do anything, but she will put some note on my account so the next time I call Vodafone Customer Care, they would see it and fix it immediately. I called again. It actually took me around three more phone calls and hours spent on hold when one day someone picked up, listened to my problem and changed my contract back to normal and told that I can ask for a compensation. It also took me till around the end of July 2017 to get this problem over with. And, if you haven’t guessed, I didn’t get any compensation. Anyway, this is not the end of my problems with Vodafone. My data allowance renews on the first day of the month. This month, on the morning of 4th November, I opened my Vodafone app and it was saying that I’m left with only 5.6gb. I was shocked, I knew that I couldn’t have spent 14.4gb in three days using instagram and google. I gave a call to Vodafone Customer Care straight away. The man on the phone said it is a system error and that they will give me additional data in few moments. Almost a week passed and nothing, as always when you call Vodafone. I wasn’t surprised at all. On Friday (10th November) I called again, they told me that I have to go to Vodafone store to get this sorted. I went to Vodafone store in Wedtfield in Stratford the next day. The girl who was supposed to help me just asked to open my Vodafone app and she said that there are a lot of customers with the same problem. She told me that it is clearly a mistake of the system and that I actually have more data than the app shows me. She told me not to worry about it and that I definitely won’t run out of internet soon. This morning (12th November) I received a message that I’m out of data... I called Vodafone Customer Care again and the girl on the phone told me that she will speak to her manager and then transfer my case to a team of techincians. She said that after eight working days I should start getting updates on that. She also tried to make me calm that on the 1st of December I will have data again. Amazing. Because ‘I don’t really need it for the rest of this month’. I recived a call from the manager few minutes later, he asked how is my day and said that they will have a look at this problem... Once again Vodafone proved itself absoulutely unreliable. Yes, the people are polite when they speak to you, they make you feel like you are important, and they will try their best to help you, but the truth is that they don’t. I’m really dissapointed and would never recommend anyone to sign a contract with Vodafone if they just want a reliable service without constantly having problems. Vodafone definitely offered me the worst service I have ever had in my life. What will I do next? Probably try to terminate my contract somehow and look for another telecommunications company. I believe that absolutely anything would be better than Vodafone.

I have been with Vodafone for over 8 years, heaven knows why! The customer service they provide, or rather don't provide, is the worst I have ever experienced. They all seem to make promises to sort things, but then when you check, they haven't. Plus you are always on hold for an average of 30 to 40 mins per phone call, and when it takes 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or more times to call and resolve issues, it seems as though you spend more time on hold to them that not! I am finally coming to my senses and leaving them!

Whenever they try to do something to my account they make a pig's ear of it, requiring multiple lengthy phone calls to get it put right. Latest instance - I bought a new phone for my son which for some reason they sent with two sims. After multiple phone calls, including a 40 minute one this evening with their badly mis-named Special Customer Service team, they still can't manage to activate it with either of the sims. Their best suggestion was that I should drive 30 miles and visit a Vodafone shop to get it sorted out! An organisation which has very obviously cut its customer services costs to the bone, with the result that they can't provide any useful customer service at all. Avoid.

If you’re an existing customer or about to switch from Vodafone there is a total lack of transparency with their billing and contracts, and an inability to resolve even the simplest of enquiries or disputes on the phone. Going to Vodafone shop is not much better. I have wasted my many hours of my life trying to get sense from the Vodafone helpline I am now out of contact and so glad to be (nearly) shut of them once and for all..

What a lot of complaints! What a lot of nonsense. Most of the problems have been caused by the mobile users themselves. I have been with Vodafone for a few years and have had no issues at all! I have recently upgraded my phone to the latest iPhone x and except for the slight delay in receiving it, everything is fine. Rang 191 to discuss when the changeover to the new contract would happen. The op was most helpful. Check your data use if you find it expensive. Look at your phone settings.

STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY! DO NOT LET ANY LOVED ONE DEAL WITH THEM EITHER! NOT EVEN WORTHY OF 1 STAR Worst customer service ever, no transparency, misleading sales team working in PPI-style scam to get you lured into a deal full of hidden costs, with NO warning and NO prior information. Billing is not transparent and they cannot provide details on how they calculate usage when asked, EXTORTIONATE CHARGES (£170 for 6gb, in what world is that reasonable), and they won't budge when we try to dispute it.

Closed my account with them as they decided to increase my tariff. At the end my account was in credit. Very difficult to get the money refunded. Various excuses given but still no sign of my money! Be very careful.

My iPhone 6S was snatched by a fast cyclist while waiting for a bus in Dublin. I used my husband's phone to contact my daughter who contacted Vodafone. Within 5 mins the sim had been cancelled. I went straight to Vodafone I. Forestside Belfast when I got back to Belfast and again they were so helpful . They gave me a very competitive price and I got an iPhone 7. Honestly so helpful. Many thanks

We have been waiting since last Friday 20th October to go live. The web chat team are a complete and utter waste of time. Contacted complaints was told they would be in touch within 48 hrs still no reply. It's now been 9 days since we we meant to go live with our broadband and 7 days since I issued a complaint.

We are having trouble getting the free gift that was promised when we signed up. I wish we had read the reviews before we joined up with them. Awful customer service

Awful service with direct debits. Mine were stopped without my knowing then I got hit with penalties for not paying on time. I would not ever recommend them. When I started with them they were excellent but since payments have been taken over by another company they have gone downhill. When I phone the staff are very helpful, it's just a pity the ones at the top make up the the rules. I have now left and got a far better deal elsewhere and far better service.

They lure you into a broadband deal with a free gift, which you can only claim after the cooling off period, with a code which does not work when yo finally receive it, and when I try for the 5th time two weeks later, all I get is an error message and then when I email the TLC company that this is outsourced to they are saying that I am a day too late! I can't call them and when I call to complain at Vodafone, they don't even log my complaint and just refer to TLC. TLC just refers to T's and C's. They should ask me to choose the gift the moment I join, as part of the registration. Then only deliver it after 45 days if they apparently don't trust their clients. When I recieve a text to ask me for my opinion of the call to Vodafone, I can't even send a bad score! Wifi glassfiber is very slow as well, connection is disrupted every minute. Regret signing for 2 years, will certainly leave straight after that.
