Appalling customer service - lie to get you to agree an upgrade and it takes you over a week and 8 phone calls to sort it out. They only sorted everything after I rang the cancellation department! Called today to check a bill. It took three phone calls and 40 mins to speak to someone who was capable of answering my question. My 8 year old could do a better job.

Everything has gone wrong. They have zero appreciation for loyalty, I have been with them for 17 years and it has been nothing but torture and I am the mug for staying. I couldn't possibly explain ALL the things they have done BUT please, please do not go with them. They WILL con you with extra charges and bogus customer service calls.

COMPLETELY IGNORED MY REPEATED REQUESTS. In mid November 2016 I made a Subject Access Request (SAR) to Vodafone under the Data Protection Act. I did this after appalling service from their bad service dept. The law requires the information I requested to be given within 40m days although the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) suggests that a reasonable response time is 21 days. Vodafone ignored me for 90 days then found my request and are 27 days into their  legal time. UNREASONABLE!!!! This company make a practice of making life as difficult as possible for customers who complain or who need assistance. If you are in that position I urge you to make a (SAR) . It may cost £10. They make this payment as difficult as possible by insisting it is paid by cheque (who uses cheques these days?). You will be told that they only accept SAR's requests online. This is rubbish! The law says that you can make the request by letter or by phone if you want. I suggest that you make the request by registered mail and insist that they contact you only by snail mail. This will cause them great inconvenience and expense, just as they do to their customers. Ask for transcripts of all telephone conversations and chat rooms. After my 10th weekly letter I advised them I was making a charge for correspondence to or from them. I should have made this charge after the 2nd letter. When this affair if completed I will invoice them and, if necessary I will take them to the small claims Court. Good Luck all. I will keep this site (and others) posted on my progress.  Good Luck and Regards, Frank M

Worst support ever! my account has been locked for well over a year now and I still can't get into it, which I then used the 24/7 support team on their website and every single support worker said 'this will be fixed THIS TIME i promise you' (still not fixed) I then gave up trying and i'm currently paying for my contract monthly without access to my own account! Terrible company. ps. I barely get signal anywhere I go...

Professional con company I would highly recommend avoiding them every phone call to customer service lasted at least an hour The service is horrendous overcharged every month. They even had the cheek to open a second direct debit without me knowing and then refused to give me a refund and blaiming me for downloading games was the reason for the high bills. Highly avoid!!!!!

My wife and I just returned from a month long trip to Europe. In Venice Italy we purchased 2 sim cards for 120 euro from the Vodafone dealer. We have the receipts they provided. We were told these sim cards would work across Europe! They promised us: 300 talk minutes, 500 text messages anywhere in Europe. Phone Numbers: 3486196625, and 3461631318 Codice PUK 11159665, and 27233917 However, we left Italy three days later and the phone sims stopped working! We were lied to by the Vodafone person. He spoke perfect English so we understood each other very clearly! I would like a refund for my purchase please! I contacted Vodaphone HeadQuarters 4 times via email....NO RESPONSE!!!

I had two phones on contract with vodafone. The other contract ended. I phoned vodafone to cancel it. It took a year for my contract to be cancelled. Everytime I phone they say I didn't cancel my contract and have deducted my money for a phone I am not using. When I wanted my money back they refuse to pay me .I want to take the matter further. The are robbing people. The worst customer care I've ever experienced in my life. I will never recommend them instead I will discourage anyone who wants to buy anything with them .

Right, so as customer service is not willing to deal with my complain I'm going to make sure I post my rubbish experience everywhere on the social media: " I lost my phone and thankfully I have insurance on it, so I claimed it, my claim was successful, I ask the customer service representative to get it delivered on Friday 03/03/17 as that's when I'm at home, It gets delivered one day before. As I'm not home I have to go and collect it from the depot ( only 20 miles away) . I ride for 20 miles on my motorbike in the rain and cold of a Scottish winter to get the phone. I reach the depot and receive the parcel, but guess what? It's the WRONG PHONE!! I phone Vodafone and the line keeps ringing for 30 min, so I hanged up and I phoned again, someone asks me to confirm my surname and hangup straight away. I phone a third time, I get transferred 4 times to the wrong department. I finally manage to speak to a manager who advices me to go to the closer Vodafone store, they will be able to take the wrong one from me and hand me the correct one, I go to a vodafone store but they don't have it in stock, I go to another Vodafone store, a teenager attends me ( with his hand in his pocket ) I explain to him what happened and he - cutting me off and without letting me finish - says he can't help and I have to wait until Monday. I ask why, he says he doesn't have authority and only a manager can help me. There was no manager, and a manager won't be available until "maybe Saturday" . He even refuses to tell me when the manager will be in on Saturday and rudely coments " you know that managers here are busy right? I think he will be in a meeting in the morning and sometimes he's not around as well" I tell him that I will complain to his manager about his attitude he responds " please do" I told him to speak to the manager on the phone from the insurance team so he can hand me the device he says " they have no authority on us". I ask him to take the device from me he refuses and he gives no explanation to why. He tells me off the store even before the closing time. I give up and I return back home, when I phone Vodafone again I get through to the insurance department and I stay on hold for 20 min then I get transfered to the technical team?? Then to someone else, which non of them knew why I was calling or had even a clue, and I had to explain to every single one of them what happend to me . Finally I speak to a lady that does the following : Hold for 12 min , ask a question, hold again for 22 min, ask another question, hold for 17 min , hold again. Until it became 20:01 meanwhile on hold and a message just came saying " sorry this department is now closed" and the line cut off. I phoned one last time and after telling the story for 12 min I get told to phone back next day ( tomorrow) as this has to be dealt by the insurance department which is now closed . Vodafone, I just want to say something, you gave me the best level of frustation ever possible, and the worst customer service ever. I regret leaving three and I really want to leave you. I promise that I will NEVER EVER even think about coming back to you. But until my contract finishes I want what I'm paying for, I want my correct device and a decent service, So far you have caused me enough losses and frustration to not pay 3 or 4 month bills. And I'm taking this to the social media and to the financial ombudsman. Hassan Chouehne 07479854100

4 calls 2.5 hours in total. Managers not calling back when promised (Egypt centre), Senior manager putting in service request for my money being reimbursed, request rejected despite giving me my bank details, no follow up (Cape town). Various operatives leaving me on hold for ages, cutting me off, unable to put me through to last person who promised refund/call back. Basically deliberate attempt to give you runaround so you give up. Refuse to register an official complaint over the phone, hidden convoluted procedure, so number almost certainly vastly underestimated. No accountability, no follow up, operatives allegedly not bonused on problem resolution but simply on there ability to soothe the customer to get a good score when the text comes through. You think a process is in motion - it isn't. Massive fine last year obviously wasn't enough. Vodaphone needs exposing. No option on menus to speak to a customer service agent. You have to select Option 2 "thinking of leaving' to get to retention team in S Africa or option 3 ('you want to upgrade to monthly (Egypt). Cynical sales and marketing with absolutely no accountability. Truly appauling customer service. The worst I have ever experienced. Worse than Talkmobile, BT, Npower - and that is saying something. AVOID at all costs.

Vodafone made consistent errors with billing, I called them numerous times. Each time they said they would resolve then the problem carries on. They frequently promise to return calls but NEVER do. Customer service is a shambles. They have a million departments, you get passed around for ever.
