“Overall I'm satisfied with my multiple orders. I first ordered a set of black bumper plates. They were packaged nicely and once I took them out of the boxes, I weighed each plate. Each of them were either spot on displayed weight or within heavier by a few tenths. I then purchased more plates and a power bar. Overall good fit for what I need and everything should outlast me. Customer service from this company is awesome. Their shipping for most items is free, which is a HUGE plus. A few notes: The weights come with some slight oil on them. I'm not to picky, so I just put them on my storage bars and got to work with them, however, I can say some would rather wipe or clean them off prior to use. I haven't had any difficulty picking them up, and using them. The plates fit nicely on the power bar from Vulcan as well as a bar from a different company.”

“The kettlebell I purchased from Vulcan was of high quality. The handle size is good and able to fit two hands. and may be the best thing about the kettlebell. You can fit both hands around the grip and weight is very true. The bottom is also very flat which is good. I would without reservation recommend the Vulcan kettlebells. Shipping was also very fast.”

“The website had many inaccurate pricing problems. My email pointing it out and inquiring about the true prices went unanswered. I kept a keen eye to notice corrections and made my purchase, even with the site saying free clamps, then charging me for them and the stated percentages discounted for combo buys being incorrect not to the consumer's advantage. I bought the 305lb bar and bumper combo, but there was still more work to do, as no call or email explained the next steps to pick this up. After emailing this time, I did receive a terse response. So, now I've got the bar and bumpers and believe they'll last me quite a while. Sturdy, solid build. Nice quality control and wrapping of the products. Great kneeling. So, this company makes a good product. As do others. What you look for in these circumstances is the company with the better service promise and delivery and quite frankly, Vulcan left me so underwhelmed and disappointed when they easily could have gone over the top. Didn't end this transaction thinking they had a customer for life. Left feeling they had a customer for life and carelessly threw it away.”

Hi Matthew, Thanks for your review. Our apologies for any miscommunication or missed emails. It sounds like you may have been viewing a product page that was being edited. All Bumper plate and bar sets were being changed during the time that you placed your order. Unfortunately, the spring clips are no longer included within the price of the set and were not listed as free when your order was placed. The discount we have always advertised on the bumper plate and bar sets for local pick up is 7.5% from regular advertised price. The discount you received and the pricing on that item were correct at the time of your purchase. Our general policy is to contact our customer when the order is ready for pick up. Orders can be ready for pick up on the same day or next business day usually when placed before 12pm. Your order came in at 3:07pm Wednesday and we did not make contact with you until 1:13pm on Friday of that same week.. Our apologies for the delay. “Initial quality is good, ordered 305 lb set bumper plates with 28.5 standard olympic bar & oso bar clamps, the bumper plates have very low bounce. Worth it.”

“Very good setup. 305 lb with econo bar, very pleased with the low bounce when dropped from overhead. The bar is a little stiff and not much spin but it is a very good bar for the price for your garage gym. Only drawback are the stickers inside the plates where it slides on the bar. It would've been better if they were on the plate and not inside the metal collar, for lack of a better word. Definitely recommend to someone else.”

Hi Mindy, Thanks for your review. A new bar should be tight and bushing bars do not spin as much as bearing bars. After the bar is used some it will spin better. If a bushing bar spins really well out of the box it is a result of loose tolerances. That can have a negative impact over time. The inspection stickers do not adhere to rubber that well. You should be able to peel the small stickers off by hand. Please let us know how the bar spins after it has been used a bit.

“Partial order shipped without any notification that some items were backordered,, so I was surprised to find a box with only some of the things I ordered. Regarding a different order, not very communicative regarding estimated ship times on a pretty expensive order for a set of Vulcan Alpha plates. Just some better customer service/communication would be greatly appreciated.”

“I like the Swiss specialty bar I got, but I do have a couple complaints. After just a couple times of use the area where you slide the weights on is already showing signs of wear and I'm not some guy that lifts TONS of weight. This isn't a big deal as I didn't buy it to be pretty, but it is a little disheartening. Also, one of the plastic pieces on the end of the bar was destroyed apparently during shipping. Again, it isn't a big deal as the bar doesn't need the plastic piece, but maybe the bar should be packed a little better. These are the reasons I am giving 4 stars and not 5. The bar is rack-able and I am enjoying benching with it as I am able to use a neutral grip and the price was decent. So overall I am pleased and would recommend buying it. The rack-able component was the reason I bought the Swiss bar from you guys, so thank you for making it rack-able.”

Hi, Thanks for your review. Powder coat is plastic based coating that is baked onto the steel. It will come off with metal to metal contact. This is normal for this product.

“I ordered the Vulcan Standard 28.5 mm Olympic Bar and all I can say is that this bar is anything but standard. The bar has a very nice finish and the sleeves spin like butter. The knurling feels really good in my hands and isn't overly aggressive. The shipping was very fast and the packaging was very secure. In fact, the only negative I have is that it took me a bit of time to get it out of the package.”
