“55lb plates appeared to have quite a few cosmetic touch ups of almost the same color red, but glossy paint, which makes the blemishes show up more. Appearance doesn't really bother me much and the rest of the plates are fine. Half a star from me for having what look like quality assurance stickers inside the steel inserts. The stickers rub off on the bar and make a mess. Wish I had noticed them and scraped them out prior to using. Another half star for the stink. Seriously, these things do smell. Not like a good petroleum smell (mmm..gasoline) but almost like an oily mothball smell. Not good. I live in a small house with a door to the garage just off the kitchen. (I work out in the garage). Just opening and closing the door makes my whole downstairs stink. I have cleaned them since they came coated in oil....but I hope in time the smell will abate. Thanks Vulcan!”

“I ordered the 350# bumper plate set. Price was great and the transaction was smooth. I especially liked the free shipping. I was informed a day after my purchase that my order was out of stock and would be delayed but Amanda told me about a great sale on the colored plates and how I could upgrade for a modest price and they would be shipped the next day. Sure enough a couple of days later and they were waiting for me in front of my garage on a pallet (which I also needed incidentally) Great experience from start to finish. Can't wait to finish my platform and put these to good use. Will definitely be purchasing from Vulcan again.”

“Great Olympic bar. Vulcan makes a quality product at a great price. Don't hesitate, order this bar you won't regret it. Shipped extremely fast. Only problem was with shipper, upon delivery it did not seem that the carrier took great care with the package but just kind of threw it around. However, it was well packaged by Vulcan so there was no damage to the bar.”

“The business was great to work with. I called and ordered the Basic Crossfit Pkg and after speaking with the rep, he talked me into a female bar which I am very glad I got. They held my order while I was out of town, but once I returned it shipped promptly. Even though I had 2 pieces missing and emailed them about it, they shipped it overnight. I am EXTREMELY pleased with them and their product, and I will be ordering from them in the future!!”

“I recently purchesed this bar for my garage gym. I mainly do crossfit and strength training for football. I have used it for about 2 weeks now, and it is performing great. The sleeve spin from the bearings is fantastic, much better than any bushing bar I've used. It will hold up great to any type of general training you throw at it, but if you're planning on doing any specific olympic lifting or powerlifting, go with a speciality bar. There is one complaint, but it is something that should be expected so I didn't dock any stars. The black zinc coating on the sleeves chips very easily, mine is almost silver now and I've used it less than 10 times. But it doesn't affect the performance of the bar at all. Overall, great barbell”

“After reading about the tremendous value of Vulcan bars (top quality, best price, free shipping) I ordered the Vulcan Standard. I don't know how much better a bar can be...this "basic" bar is far better than anything I've used at many globo gyms and crossfit boxes. Can't wait for the hard chrome finish to become available. And customer service is tops.”

“I love these collars! My wife and I use them almost every day and we no longer have to worry about breaking or slipping during our workouts. I have treid several different types and manufactures and they either slip and I have to adjust between sets, or they just flat out break. The Vulcan collars are well built and a solid choice for any workout I can throw at them.”

“Great barbell, great spin solid knurling. The finish on the sleeves is coming off right away but does not matter performance wise. All Olympic movements are great, wonderful piece of equipment for any garage gym”
