“I live quite far from VyStar Bank branches, which made a recent experience particularly challenging for me. After depositing $5,500 into my account to make a payment, I found that I couldn't send the full amount due to account limits. My initial plan was to deposit smaller amounts daily, but that option wasn't feasible either, so I reached out to the bank for assistance.
Unfortunately, the first representative I spoke with adopted a sarcastic tone, making the situation feel frustrating. After thanking her, I chose to speak with another representative, only to encounter a similar lack of professionalism. Recognizing the need for a different approach, I decided to wait until the next day to try sending another portion of the funds.
When I attempted to do so, I discovered that Zelle had flagged my transaction as suspicious. The representative I spoke with next asked multiple questions, which added to my discomfort. Despite my correct answers, the tone of the conversation felt unwelcoming. Eventually, she requested a video call for verification, but technical difficulties on her end led to a prolonged hold time. Faced with poor service, I decided it was best to hang up.
On the following day, I attempted to send another portion of the money, only to discover that the name and number of the recipient had been removed. I received a message indicating that I was not authorized to add or remove this person. When I called again, I had the pleasure of speaking with Ms. Katie Santos, who was respectful and efficient in resolving my issue.
Initially, I mistakenly left my review for the Ormond Beach branch, but the next day, the Vice President of that branch reached out to me. She was kind and considerate, ensuring my situation was escalated and that I received adequate support. Subsequently, VyStar contacted me to confirm they were taking steps to prevent similar issues in the future. To my surprise, the Vice President of the Ormond Beach branch followed up again to ensure I had the assistance I needed.
I genuinely appreciate the lengths VyStar has gone to in supporting their customers. This experience has shown me that they are a credit union dedicated to valuing their members. I believe their willingness to address feedback and improve their services contributes significantly to building trust and respect among their customers.”
