“Nice accommodation, relaxing site but very remote need to use car to get anywhere. Ideal for a short break in a lovely setting. The food delivery from the Waveney Inn is a great idea and the food was really nice.”

“We were well looked after and had a decent boat for a nice short break. I would recommend a boating holiday on the Southern Broads for peace, fun and the little “encounters” us novices experience that really do add to the overall experience!”

“Enjoyed our stay at Waveney. Lodge very good but there was evidence of cobwebs inside and a beer bottle found just under one of the single beds. Outside could also do with a sweep down around light etc and leaves clearing near entrance easy to slip on them Velux windows very dirty. Cutlery amounts need checking only three forks for four people.Know times are difficult currently due to staff shortages do commend the staff we met all helpful and polite.”

“Great location, and we really enjoyed ourselves, lovely pool, reasonable food in the Waveney Inn. Our only gripe were that the pitch was very very muddy. Obviously some mud is unavoidable whilst camping but we honestly had difficulty getting our tourer off site and needed the kind assistance of our neighbours. A little bit of gravel on the access roads would have truly improved things! However, we otherwise loved the site and would definitely return.”

“Went here with a friend and her dog. Had the most loveliest time. Yurt, was so comfortable, and warm. Staff was so helpful and friendly. We did have a tent pitched in front of our yurt for one night, but when they where gone, we had a better view of the river. Had a bit of a storm one night too and the yurts was so sturdy had no issues with it. The shower and toilets were very clean and so warm as well. Would cone here again.”

“I came here with my partner and my girls and we loved it. Fantastic and helpful staff in a beautiful setting. Would definitely recommend it to families. It's very peaceful and nice to get away from it all and relax. Only downside is there wasn't much around us to do or places to walk from the site itself with kids but would definitely go back. Lodge and hot tub was lovely. Beds so comfy. Master bedroom was superb. Kitchen could have been kitted out a bit better with more utensils to cook with and another shelf in the oven too! All in all a fab holiday”

“Location is beautiful and loved how peaceful it was. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful especially when calling prior to arriving with my many questions. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because our lodge was a little outdated. We stayed in Reedham and I believe it is an older lodge but we noticed it was showing signs of age and wear and tear, we also felt we were missing a few kitchen utensils for example a cheese grater and some mixing spoons.”

“Excellent accommodation. Poor facilities, the shop was virtually non existent and the inn had a very limited takeaway menu. Some of the hot tubs were quite exposed which we wouldn’t have liked”

“Had a great short break in the hotel. Excellent room. But no obscure glass in bathroom window although good view from the loo! Delicious breakfasts but dinner slightly hit and miss! Beautiful area for walking.”

“Staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. Boat was very clean although we did have several problems ie Several Window Blinds had to be hand wound both up and down, Heating very erratic and did not always work so were provided with a fan heater which drained battery quickly, No hairdryer in boat but later provided with one when we called back into the centre, GPS did not work despite being replaced before we left centre and again when we called back which also did not work until the last day of our hire period. Being our first time on the Broards, despite the problems with the boat, we still enjoyed our experience.”

“This was our first time in an escape pod and we would definitely return. Waveney river centre itself is very clean and everyone very helpful. It's a lovely area to explore. The pod was warm and surprisingly quite spacious although our children are small. Our car was full with bedding and didnt have room for chairs so maybe a wooden bench could be added onto the decking and some shelves inside the pod would be really handy.”

“We stayed in a lodge which was very clean and spacious. It was well heated (when necessary) and well equipped, apart from a few cooking pots. We had no problems in the lodge throughout our stay, everything worked and no niggly problems. We took dinner in the bar/ restaurant two evenings. The regular menu was typical Pub food, but was supported by a varied “specials” board, both reasonably priced. On both occasions, the food was good and plentiful, served by very cheerful and obliging staff. The wine list offered a selection of wines, at prices that didn’t make you feel ripped off. On both occasions, the restaurant was cold and I noticed that I wasn’t the only person to keep on my coat for a while. I Having said that, on the second evening, when I enquired about the heating, the waitress immediately switched it on, much better. To sum up our break, it was very relaxing, good wine, good food and lovely staff. Will be back for another break soon.”

“Beautiful location right on the river. We stayed in a three bedroom lodge and it was lovely, very clean, great hot tub and everything that you could need. The master bedroom was a good size, however the other bedrooms were small, and not ideal for a couple, just needed some extra storage. The staff were all very friendly, and enjoyed a great day on our boat trip, although we would say ask which way to go. I would definitely recommend for a UK staycation.”

“It was a very peaceful relaxing visit. Staff we came across were friendly. In current situation everything was very well organised. I felt our accommodation was not worth the cost, (Somerleyton) there was nothing in the lodge which made it extra special to warrant extra cost.”

“Second visit to Waveney River Centre and we really enjoyed it. The Waveney Inn food is excellent, perhaps just some updating with the interior. Understand it is hard at the moment with Covid and thank you for keeping us safe. Some parts of the sites landscape looked like they could do with a tidy up around the lodge. The lodge it self was very clean, but some minor maintenance required”
