We love this place and would have given 5 stars had it not been for the pool attendant with the bad attitude. We have 2 very young children and as any parent knows, getting children dressed after swimming is a nightmare. We totally understand the need for the changing rooms to be closed at the moment and so equipped ourselves with dressing gowns etc, but having the attendant opening the door to the pool (whilst the external doors are also open) and making the kids cold does not help, and then to get attitude makes an already stressful situation worse. A real shame as the kids love swimming but only allowing half an hour slots and then pressuring guests to leave is not a nice thing to experience. One more thing, the drink water tap is not fit for purpose.

Lovely place with perfect views and good facilities, shame couldn’t use the swimming pool changing rooms/shower but could use shower block across from the pool just meant a mad dash in wet costumes & towels to get changed again. Had a lovely weekend.

Your lodges and boat hire are great and we had a lovely weekend, although just a couple of points to make, the on suite shower In Herringfleet Lodge was too hot and could not turn it down and there was a tiny spider infestation near the window which has hopefully now having been cleaned has been removed. Thank you for a great weekend.

It's a lovely place. The accommodation is a bit tired and could do with an update. The fire didn't glow. The cutlery and crockery was very sparse and the saucepans were old looking. The single beds appeared to be small singles. But overall, we did enjoy our stay. The staff were all lovely. We would come back.

Stayed in port cabin, for four nights. Room is spacious, warm, clean and bright, bathroom very good, always lots of hot water. Very comfortable, and enjoyed the stay. Had an evening meal, not very warm, also had a breakfast that wasn't very warm either, plus the food is a bit overpriced for what it was. The dining room/bar seemed devoid of any heating. Nice accommodation but the catering needs to be improved.

Stayed here recently for four nights. Bit annoyed we couldn’t get in till 5 pm.it was a very nice lodge with all facilities.heating good. Mostly clean but several cobwebs here and there so obviously not thoroughly cleaned. Hired a boat for two days the boat the first day was worn out and tatty floor was caving in. We complained and got an upgraded boat the next day. So good there. All in all a nice stay despite the awful weather and the horrible lanes leading up to the centre.

We had a wonderful holiday despite all the restrictions imposed by Covid. We felt safe at all times and the staff were outstanding. A special thanks to the ferry staff who went out of their way to be helpful. Our accommodation ( Oulton Penthouse) was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, though the mattress in the double bedroom needs renewing. The site is quiet and well run. We are returning in October - Covid willing -which is testament to how much we enjoyed our stay.

It’s a difficult one to review as we were camping in the worst weather imaginable. We took the pitch given but when we woke up we were in the river as it had burst it’s banks. The thing that let them down is we saw no-one to offer assistance or guidance and bring our first trip in a camper van it would have been much appreciated.

lovely location, ned more pans, and rubber slip mats for inside the lodge, to prevent slipping when you get out of the hot tub.

Overall we had a good experience at the Waveney River Centre. Positives are that the site is nice, the toilets and shower blocks clean with heated floors, scenic countryside and river views, nice staff and the pub was good. We had a nice meal the night we arrived. We did have an issue which was resolved well. We were camping and sited very close to the river which flooded our tent. We were given no warning that this might happen and that we were allocated a pitch in a risk area. We were provided with alternative accommodation to help us warm up and get dry which helped make sure the weekend was a success so thank you for that. We ordered takeaway pizza from the on site inn one night - I was disappointed, as the size and quality didn't reflect the price. It was bit overcooked and felt a bit like a prepared item. There is room for improvement there. That being said, I would definitely return. I look forward to doing so in nicer weather!

We stayed at the Waveney River Centre the weekend of 25 September booked in for a long weekend. We had to cut the visit short unfortunately due to the biblical weather. That said, we will be back to stay on another occasion as the facilities were clean and good. Social distancing was being followed, with clear signs and markings through out. Having stayed on a few camp sites I must say I liked the fact that you had a coded self contained toilet, shower room opposed to a multi occupancy shower block. Being an early riser I also liked that the showers were being cleaned before people had woken. Unfortunately I did not use the bar, restaurant or shop as the weather caused us to leave earlier than planned. We had also booked a Canadian Canoe which without issue Waveney refunded due to the weather. I look forward to returning and being able to take full opportunity of all the facilities 😊

The access to the site with a caravan is very hairy. The Staff are very helpful and the facilities are kept clean. The only real down side for us was the Wi-fi signal is very poor on kingfisher and as the Mobile signal is also poor, to find out about the local area was difficult.

A great base to explore Norfolk. We booked into reedham lodge for four nights in september 2020. The lodge itself was quite clean however some updates are needed. Lots of screws missing in door handles and hooks on backs of doors that were broken and breaking the wall behind. The cooking equipment, oven and hob are very good as is the kettle. However the cooking utensils are lacking for a cabin that caters for six people. Broken, or missing fridge and freezer drawers also. Tiny frying pan and knives that are very blunt and old. Cutlery and crockery is also very poor quality and just enough items for one meal. Very comfortable lodge though and great hot water and heating from modern combi boiler. The hot tub was fantastic and we used it every day. We would return as is a lovely place to stay with a great view over the broads and excellent location for exploring. Just needs a member of management to stay in the lodge to see what is amiss first hand.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Waveney river centre. The lodge was really nice and very well cleaned, the hot tub was lovely. We used the take away service on the first night which was really handy, the following night we ate in the restaurant but was a little disappointed with the menu so made our own arrangements on the following nights. The swimming pool was lovely and really good fun for the children it was just a shame that slots were limited to half an hour however understandable due to the covid restrictions. Most of the staff we cam across were very helpful the only time we experienced any problem with staff was when visiting the swimming pool. All in all a lovely holiday in a great location to get to the coast. We would return in the future.

the site Heron pitch 2 was terrible water tap to far away wth useless tap on it. very muddy where last caravaners or what ever drained their surplus water BUT the restaurant and Bar was 10 star. It was unfortunt I left early but could not cope with the distance to fetch water otherwise the site looked nice But is there any better pitches with all amentiies ?
