Good, quiet and spacious room with excellent shower and large, comfortable bed. Very friendly staff - especially the lady who has only recently started working here and served us at breakfast today (12 June). Enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the sunshine. The site makes a good base for exploring by car, on foot, or along the River Waveney. Only downside: a lack of variety at breakfast - and not very good coffee either in the restaurant or in the room. In conclusion - a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

This site is really lovely. It is clean, facilities are good (although we didn't use the showers). The Waveney Inn takeaway app is a great idea and a real bonus if you cannot get a seat in the pub considering there is not another place to eat unless you are driving (no drinking!). Access to the boats and broads is number one for those staying on site as you don't have to worry about parking. We stayed in the Kingfisher touring site. Good size pitch although there were a few drawbacks. We were outnumbered by campers which meant lots of footfall to the toilet block and washing station which was just by our pitch. The grass area where the children can play is quite steep and we did have a few falls down into the Yurts and the rose bushes. The campers had quite a good deal - caravan pitches are in the shade of an evening (not ideal) when you want to have a nice drink and chill you had to move your seats to the grass area which is sloping and be in the way of the children playing! There isn't an awful lot of 'playing' open areas for children to play on. I would come back but only if we were with another party it seems lots of visitors come with others (especially those camping). Staff were really good considering the restrictions for COVID I would recommend this site although book a boat before you travel!

Enjoyed our 2 night stay. Bar and restaurant were good. and our motorhome pitch was fine.We had a problem with the disabled access to facilities as there are 2 steps in the middle of the ramp used by wheelchair users. I had to get out of my chair to be able to get to the camps amenities -very disappointing.

The lodges were excellent. Very clean and well appointed. All staff were very friendly. The pub was a bit disappointing short of some meal and drink options.

What a beautiful setting, a warm welcome by staff with excellent recreational facilities. The canoeing was a highlight. The bathroom and toilet buildings again were great just such a disappointment not to be clean and smelt terribly. If they could sort there cleaning out a top top stay.

Nice place in a quiet corner. The ellingham lodge was very good, well designed, modern and exactly what a family of 4 would need. The kitchen could have been better stocked with more pans. Very helpful and friendly staff. The waveney inn is also good.

Nice 4 day stay. Staff all helpful. Clean and tidy site. Showers hot and bathroom warm. Although not as clean as they could be. Maybe I just got in there too late in the day.

Waveney is a lovely place to stay, I was here on a hen do. The lodge was beautiful and just what we wanted. We also had food from the restaurant which all 6 of us really enjoyed. The only thing I would say is all the showers were super hot, none of us could work out how to turn the cold up.

Small campsite but lots of lodges and yurts and other accommodation so all in all quite a big place. We stayed camping on a bittern pitch which was plenty big enough for our 7man tent. It’s a very family friendly campsite and everything has been well thought through in the planning of the layout, a park close by, the swimming pool at the top and the main toilet block is a clever idea where toilets and showers are in one cubicle. Each toilet/shower cubicle is quite big which makes life very easy when you have small children. My only two niggles are that the shower block just needs re-tiling or sprucing up and the camping map needs updating (finding the Elsan point in the rain when it’s not there where the map said it is, is not fun!). Apart from that a great place and using the river centre was excellent, plenty to do for a three night stay. The Waveney Inn is a great place for food!

Lovely little campsite. Lots of positives - pool was nice, setting beautiful, nice and quiet by 10pm ish, The Waveney Inn was good for a meal on our last night. Some things could improve - the toilets and shower block were very basic and not the cleanest. They could do with cleaning more often, especially when it’s busy. We did see the cleaner once a day and she was doing a great job bless her, just seemed like they could use another cleaner or two perhaps. We would return again as overall the site was well situated and very pretty 😊

Farmhouse great family accommodation. Negatives, no stair gate provided, only one tea towel provided for 4 night stay. No washing line available.Because of remote location, the shop was totally inadequate for even very basic provisions. An opportunity missed on your part. Small things but we had a great time; thank you

A really good stay as it is a lovely setting but the washrooms really need to be sorted out as they let the place down. They take a battering with so many people on site. We have requested floor squeegees on two previous stays before. If they were provided people would clean the floor after they use the bathrooms, the shower drains don’t even work properly anymore so you are standing in two inches of dirt soup. The lime scaled trickle out of the fixed shower heads isn’t enough to wash the suds away. Grim. Yurts leaked because of the heavy rain but it was sorted out to an extent in a quick and courteous manner. Staff are friendly and helpful. Yurts very tired now and the price is going up to 100 a night next year. It wouldn’t take a lot to spruce the floors and furniture up a bit.

Really nice stay once again. The flooring was a little loose in yurt 6 so might need nailing down again to stop someone's toes being stubbed. Shame to not have the lovely deck chairs as well as the picnic bench. Facilities really good, kid loved it!! Maybe look at an online booking tool for the pool so people can see the gaps and availability etc.

Just returned from a lovely mini break at Waveney river centre, we stayed in the Beccles lodge, which we found clean and comfortable. My only complaint would be the kitchen was not very well equipped, no chopping board and hardly any plates and mugs but as we mostly ate out this wasn’t really much of an issue, and the late check in and early check out is annoying as you loose 2 days really But I understand this is the same in most holiday sites due to covid and cleaning. It’s a beautiful quiet area set in the middle of the countryside we hired a boat one day which we took down the river which was great fun. The Waveney inn did lovely food, and the on-site shop was well equipped just a shame the shop closes at 5.30pm as it’s quite a Trek if you need anything later in the evening to any other shop. Would I recommend Waveney river centre Yes definitely and we would visit again. Thank you to all the lovely friendly staff 😊

We enjoyed our stay here. We were in a pet friendly lodge with a hot tub which was in a great location within the park and was super clean and had no animal smells. There was everything you would need in the lodge. The only dissapoint for me were the grounds I felt like they could have been a little bit more looked after. They looked really messy in places and down one end it looked like a building site and I really would not have been happy to look at that while staying. Another big negative was the Inn on site. Food was good but service absolutely terrible.

Quiet and beautiful location. Adults and children really enjoyed our break. Lodge was clean and comfortable, shower was an issue as temperature changed from very hot to freezing. Waveney Inn was good food, ferry to natural reserve was good. All the staff on site were friendly and helpful.

The campsite is lovely and the staff are brilliant we really enjoyed the play areas, clean facilities and pool but it was let down by the restaurant, the food was very nice but the staff are very ill informed and not up to standard. We have breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, we were told we could not have a table till 9.30am but when we arrived it was empty?? And should have been serving from 8am. 1/6/2021. Dinner we dined with family which were part of our bubble, and were not allowed to sit together, there was quite clearly another table in the restaurant that were over 6 so this was very annoying as we could not talk together. The waiter that served masked looked like it had been hanging off his face for months as he kept having to put it over his nose. Social distance measures were not met either as all customers were asked to seat in the same mid section of the restaurant rather than spacing table apart.
