On balance 5 stars well deserved. Location and quality of waterside spa lodge exceptional. Staff exceptional in all respects. Only niggles were that: 1/ we could not eat at the Waverley Inn at any time for as all slots were pre-booked. 2/ the alternate little shop was often closed and was poorly stocked (no real butter for us) - come with all provisions if possible or arrange delivery when arrived. These are tiny niggles though and for management feedback only. We had an excellent stay. Also recommend the Wheatacre White Lion pub Up the road for lunch or dinner.

We had a lovely time camping at the Waveney River Centre. Facilities were very good with a small shop, restaurant and bar on site. The only minor complaint is that our group had booked 3 camping pitches, and on arrival we asked to be situated next to each other, which could not be accommodated even though there was a pitch available next to our friends' pitch.

We come every year but slightly disappointed this time as toilets seemed unkept. Lady on reception on our arrival was lovely but the lady with black hair very unapproachable. We will come again as we live this place but a little disappointed 😔

Enjoyed our stay, despite the weather! The yurts were very cosy. We had some incredibly noisy neighbours at 1am next door, which did ruin the sleep. The wind also meant that the straps outside the yurt flapped all night, and I feel like these could be tightened. The yurt floor I don’t think had been swept either. All in all a lovely weekend, but a few things could be improved.

Fantastic tranquil setting for our family holiday. The setting was beautiful and had everything we needed for a fab week away. So much to see and do in the local area but we spent a fair bit of time chilling in the hot tub too! We hope to return.

The staff were friendly approachable and couldn’t do more to help you. T hen canoeing was definetly our highlight. Great play park for the kids and in general a beautiful location. Lovely pub on site and super dog friendly. The site was quiet at night and the showers and toilets were impeccably clean. Only downside was the wasp colony we were camped next to which made it uncomfortable to sit by the tent at times. Would most definitely recommend to a friend.

Really enjoyed our stay despite windy weather: Good points: Pool lady really lovely & pool was A def bonus Reception staff were really friendly and 1 of the restaurant staff was Particularly nice-(lady with red hair) & food tasty (specials) Canoeing was great fun. Decent showers & wash up facilities Room for improvement- small pitches (but understand hard to easily solve), Stronger WiFi signal would be great More links with Suffolk wildlife trust might prove beneficial to you-eg ranger kids activities & arts/crafts partnering up with SWT across the river at Carlton Marshes.

Stayed in the Chart Room which was comfortable and big enough for my needs. Breakfast in the restaurant was a bit of a let down, limited choice and felt more like a cafe breakfast than a breakfast that comes with a room at £130 per night....... this might have been due to COVID but if that were the case then the price should have reflected this too. I took bikes and a canoe and although they accommodated me there are no secure facilities to store bicycles which was a shame given the lovely countryside surrounding the site. Swimming pool is very good and managed really well during the COVID restrictions.

Excellent little boat (Pegasus) Hired from Friday 14th Aug to Friday 21st Aug 2020 Really enjoyed it ,Shame we had no mop/brush/hook and the battery never kept its charge and when we opened the roof windows the standing rain water poured in but all considering would use Waveney Boat hire centre again

Great site with a mixture of accommodation, camping, vans, lodges and boats. Helpful staff. Decent shower block and all kept tidy. Will be coming back.

Stayed in camping pod, underneath mattress hadn’t been cleaned and with everything going on at the minute should of been cleaned a lot better. Was full of cobwebs and riddled with ants.

Great location. Pitches closer together than appear in the pictures. Per my wife the women’s toilets were filthy. She saw the cleaners go in and give a very swift clean, not good enough at the best of times let alone with covid about. Onsite pub nice

This is our 2nd visit, the location is great as is the staff in both reception & the inn, however the standard of the lodge was poor , the lodge required a deep clean, as both bathrooms were very dirty on arrival, the floor in the living room was full of dog hair, on cleaning the living area the brush provided was very dirty and had held a huge amount of either dog or human hair, the lodge itself looked very tired & needed decorated throughout. Basic Maintenance checks needs to be completed throughout the lodge for example loose tap in the on suite & shower door hanging off the track - hope this helps.
