“Wheatacre was decorated lovely and clean. Nice quiet location. River setting lovely and staff were all very friendly and helpful.”

“Good size great hot tub. The lounge furniture was a bit worn out and some of the chairs at the dinning table were wobbly and my daughter nearly fell off a couple of times. Bath and showers were very efficient. Kitchen a good size but tin opener didn't work and some of the trays didn't fit in the oven!!”

“a very pleasant stay only marred by the obvious shortage of staff. High season and the ice cream kiosk and pizza outlet closed!! a pub with very few tables, its a shame there is no staff. a shuttle on site (mini bus or similar) would have been helpful as the site is off the beaten track. very clean and well maintained site”

“Great location ; good facilities and helpful friendly staff . Shop poorly stocked and expensive . We camped in a secluded spot next to the river with fantastic views across the Broads . It was a shame that the lodge next to the pub kept powerful outside lights on all night lighting the inside of our tent and stopping anyone from enjoying stars at night .”

“Lovely site and facilities. Is an issue with flying ants and some of the pitches are a little small. Had a fantastic time just disappointed that we booked two pitches on one booking but we were placed 6 pitches apart.”

“A great river centre. Great setting. Sad that there aren't better eating and drinking facilities. There are some but it's very limited and no orders are taken if you haven't booked!”

“Was such a lovely Mon-Fri break with you, such beautiful surroundings and the hot tub was a big hit. The only reason I couldn't give you a 5* is the beds are rock hard and very uncomfortable even our kids who weigh next to nothing complained.”

“Fantastic site with great facilities. Pitch ground a little hard but that can’t be helped. Pool was like a bath! Lovely and warm and clean. My only reason for the 4 stars is location wise it is far from main road and not many places to eat. Shop didn’t sell everything (no beers!!) but I understand why as it’s a nice family site and not encouraging drinking but such a long drive to Morrison’s or any other convenience store. Lady at pool reception lovely and overall loved our stay. Thank you!”

“Great stay at Waveney. We stayed in Leam lodge, spotlessly clean and great facilities in the lodge. Only one small critique was not enough hot water and second shower was permanently cold. Location of Waveney is extremely remote which was very relaxing however the website I think could be clearer how far you are from any form of eatery / major shop. The pub on site was closed Wednesday, offered no take away service and was full the rest of our stay? Huge missed opportunity for business considering Covid and also very difficult for residents who don’t want to cook every night. We were informed on check in delivery site Just Eat operates to the park but they do not so you absolutely need to be prepared. Pool and park facilities could do with a bit of an upgrade but again spotless and great fun, also very well controlled still limiting capacity, we felt very safe. Hiring a boat was superb - the service we received was incredible and again the boat was extremely clean and Covid safe. Great stay overall but could do with a bit of fine tuning. Had a blast of a holiday and thanks for looking after us.”

“The setting is lovely, yurts are spacious and beds very comfortable. The downside is and we feel you are really missing a trick is the restaurant and shop. We expected more suitable local produce to be available in the shop. As for the the restaurant, the opening times are very disappointing, why is it closed on a Wednesday???.also why were we told at lunch time Tuesday that it was fully booked on that evening, yet when we walked past at about 7 o’clock it was empty!!! The menu choices were also disappointing and our meals weren’t that good. The staff are very friendly but seem young and inexperienced. It’s a shame as you could a little gold mine there.”

“This is the second visit to Waveney River Center, and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay again this time. Camping pitches are clean and maintained, toilet/shower blocks are extremely clean and tidy, thanks to the cleaning staff, but there is a need for maintenance to the whole site as buildings and facilities are showing wear and tear since we were last here over two years ago. Having the use of the swimming pool is an added reason for staying here, and even with the current restrictions it works really well. Overall stay was excellent, can't wait to be back next year, hopefully some maintenance would of been completed.”

“This was the first time we have visited this site and we were pleased with it. It is small so is nice and quiet. Plenty to do and see in the surrounding area which are only 30 mins drive away to most of them including the beaches. My only issue is that for the amount of money we paid for the lodge it was very tired and worn. Dont get me wrong everything works but for over 2.5k for a week I would have expected it to be immaculate.”

“Once again we had a really nice break at the Waveney River Centre. The toilets and showers are always nice and clean and the camp site well looked after. My only negative would be to the Wavney Inn. Unfortunately the food is not too a very good standard and nor where the drinks, a real shame as it would have been nice to sit there a bit longer instead of drinking back at the tent.”
