“We enjoyed our stay here. The lodge was clean & the hot-tub was the added bonus for us! We would have liked to have eaten at the restaurant more but limited booking & you couldn't eat outside meant we only ate there once (sunny afternoon thought we would stop after our walk & sit outside for a drink & some lunch, loads of tables but couldn't eat outside?) The shop also sold minimal things. If you want walks then we did find a little 3 mile route but the other walk they offer you have to get a ferry across the marshland (i don't like water or boats so that was a no go) All in all was a lovely weekend break if you don't want much to do!”

“We had a great time on our holiday. Our yurt was clean and cosy even with a lot of rain. My boys really enjoyed using the swimming pool and the canoeing was a great experience. It was a shame that the inn no longer does take aways. We would have used this as there is no where to cook in a yurt when it pours with rain! We did eat at the Inn one night. The staff were friendly and doing their best but seemed short staffed and the food was ok but not great.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Waveney River Centre. The site facilities were good considering the current Covid restrictions. The children’s play area was excellent and my children really enjoyed this. As booking was required for the pool 24 hours in advance this made sure that usage was fair. We would have liked a guide to the facilities, perhaps a FAQ guide e.g number to call to book the pool, how to arrange for additional towels etc.”

“We had a great stay in the Engine Room and in the resort. Our room was always left perfectly every day. Everyone really friendly could not fault it. The only comment we would like to make and made before we left was the breakfast menu being made smaller while we were there by 3 products ( CEREAL / Eggs Benedict / Kippers and then they couldn’t even offer Pancakes. I cannot understand why you would stop serving cereal when that must be the easiest thing to prepare. It’s a shame that did take the edge off it and we’re very disappointed. I welcome your comments.”

“We stayed in the Chart Room. It was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom looked surgically clean and had probably just been refitted. Breakfast was very good and all staff everywhere were pleasant and helpful. If I could have booked a downstairs room, it would have been better, as the stairs and my arthritic knees did not make a good combination. Covid restrictions made a marginal impact on the enjoyment.”

“We LOVE staying at your site. The staff are friendly and helpful. The site is well looked after and clean. Only didn't give it 5 stars because last time we came the shop was well stocked but this time there was so little food options and on the pricy side.”

“Touring site plot .needed tidying stinging neetles and brambles needed cutting l got strung and scratched by them,The dish washing facilities six sinks only one sink plug a little disappointing for a premium site.”

“A very enjoyable week away spent staying a lodge with hot tub. Very clean and well equipped lodge. Hot tub checked every day by friendly staff. Reception staff helpful and welcoming. Shop could be greatly improved. Stocks are basic essentials but could be better. Nice swimming pool and facilities, kids playground could be improved. Lots of space for more equipment. Overall would recommend!”

“Good size pitches and a lovely location. Enjoyed the pool, nice and warm. Food at the Waveney Inn was disappointing for the price, I’d give that a miss but otherwise a great place!”

“Lovely location by the river. Very helpful and friendly staff. Toilet and shower facilities usually very clean but let down by broken door lock in ladies, constantly unfilled soap dispenser in ladies' disabled/baby change cubicle, wonky toilet seats etc, just odd jobs undone.”

“Lovely pitch with great outlook. Planters in front of pitches in need of attention, shower blocks and wcs always clean, thank you to Sandra and the team. Showers and wc look tired though and could do with an upgrade.”

“We had a lovely stay at Waveney River Centre with a combination of yurts, pods and camping plots for 25 of us, which were good. However flooring and beds are creaky in the yurts!! Lovely meal in the Waveney Inn where the staff were very accommodating and service was great. Lots of fun on the river with canoes, kayaks and paddle boards and we were blessed with great weather. Overall a good experience.”

“A lovely park, well kept and all the staff are friendly and courteous. Any issues we had were quickly dealt with. The lodge was comfortable and clean. My only issue is the lack of privacy as you are overlooked in all the rooms. The road leading up to the centre is only single track and although there are passing places can be difficult to use as most people now have big cars so can take some manoeuvring to pass.”

“The outlook was disappointing as we thought we would be overlooking the marina or river, tightly packed cabins. Cabin overall was very good. Need larger facilities on sight to accommodate all cabins. Otherwise enjoyable stay with the hot tub. Advisable for one way system on approaching roads as dangerous.”

“Lovely setting, food from Waveney inn wasn’t great apparently staff shortage. We were in a motorhome and getting water was a problem as the only way was a tap with no way of putting a screw attachment. Toilet/shower block very clean. Would return.”
