Lovely environment, comfortable accommodation and in the main, nice people. However some things let you down. You state that WiFi is available. Technically it is but it’s a very poor connection, so poor in fact that I wasn’t able to open your emails to me regarding departure and this review until after I left. Probably in excess of 90% of your business comes via online, that’s how important good WiFi is to you and your guests. Same disappointment aimed at your tv reception. If you are going to make tv a feature of your apartments make sure it works properly and doesn’t keep pixelating and losing signal. Especially not clever during an England World Cup game. The most important failure was the entrance door to the penthouse suites. Firstly there should never have been a lock on that door that needed a key to exit. That is the only means of escape in the event of a fire and I’m amazed that this wasn’t picked up in any safety checks. As I’m sure you are aware the lock failed during our stay and none of your guest, including children could get out of the building from 22.00 to 08.00 the following day . Many phone calls were made to your out of hours number before the 23.00 cut off but none were answered. I think you must agree that is far from satisfactory. There were a couple of other minor suggestion such as supply some simple door wedges to stop the doors self closing all the time and perhaps some cushions for the balcony chairs. Would I return? Absolutely if you sort out these annoyances

This is a nice friendly place with some decent facilities and a good pub. The shop is slightly expensive but very convenient as the nearest shop is a fair distance away. We were camping on one of the moorhen tent pitches. There were some fairly deep wheel ruts in our pitch, I think people have been using it as the road. Anyone planning on camping, bring hard ground tent pegs as the ground is very stoney and your thin pegs will not go in. Everyone we spoke to had the same issue. But it's not an issue if you know in advance. We had a good 4 night stay and can recommend it to anyone wanting to stay near the river.

We have a camped a couple of times in the past few years there now. The yurt, play park, swimming indoors and the river to kayak. It was quiet and relaxing. The camping toilets and washing up fasilities was clean. The play park can perhaps be upgraded so it is more level if possible as the slope can be dangerous, more play features for small children to play in and then also a bit more climbing etc features for the older ones. There is lots of space for this :-). A fence would also be good as it is difficult if you need to go to the yurt\tent and you cannot see your children. The shower facilities needs a bit of upgrading as well but not much, just new shower heads, taps etc as the blowers is still really good. The shower frames needs replacing perhaps as the glass is fine but the frames in some looks a bit bad. The tv in the swim area can perhaps be enabled for "freesports" channel so dads can watch the sport if needed for example the world cup football. That is a bit of wasted space and something can be done to make it more useful. The swimming pool was a bit cold on both days but the hot tub was very hot. I am not moaning just help in advising what is great and what can change as it is a really nice place to camp and I do advise people to go there. I would rather see it continue to be open in the future and we can go for a weekend than it is closed down as no-one advised or give honest opinions.

Overall a well-kept site, although there was some rubbish in the grass/bushes at the rear/side of our pitch. The facilities on site were good and clean. The downside was that, having a motorhome, we couldn't use the freshwater tap with our hose as it was not a standard attachment and also having a press down release for the water proved a bit of a problem when trying to fill the watering can we had to buy to fill up. One downside was the £100 `security' money we had to pay via card, although perhaps a banking issue, the money was taken out of our account immediately and some four days after we left the site the money hasn't been refunded. I think this is unacceptable for the money to be taken in the first instant (rather a large sum) and I wasn't told that they money may take upto seven days to be repaid into our account - I have to say if I had known this prior to booking I would not have booked the site. Apart from that Waveney is in a lovely location on the river and a great ferry crossing and walk through lovely countryside.

lodges were clean and staff were helpful, lots to do and entertain yourself with. It was underdeveloped but in a year/two the whole area will have an atmosphere and be perfect for both couples and families.

Very clean, quiet, and friendly place. Lovely views and great place to explore the broads. The lodge was clean, and tidy with everything you need. My only negative feedback would be the lodge needs a bit of tlc

The campsite was lovely, facilities excellent and staff fantastic. One thing that would have made this 5 out of 5 would have been a sign leading up to the Pintail camping area stating that this was a camping area and not a dog walking area as most of the people on site with dogs seemed to think it was!

Nice site, good breakfast, friendly staff, reasonably priced food, large comfortable bed, huge hot shower, pretty tranquil setting. Would try the yurts next time rather than the hotel for the price.

We stayed in Oulton penthouse. It was a very spacious two bedroom accommodation with beautiful views, from each room. The main bedroom alone was like a hotel room, with a spacious shower room. It was nice to wake up to the sound of bird song, which made a welcome change from the background hum of the motorway at home. The welcome pack was a nice touch as were the board games and DVDs. There was plenty of kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery. The Waveney Inn served good food with generous helpings, even if you ordered a small plate. The service was quick and the staff were friendly.
