Hi we think this campsite is great we returned for our honeymoon (due to having 10month twins) But I think the shop could have a better range of ice creams. I have worked in catering All my life and I personally think a tea room would work well on this site.

Absolutely lovely site however the information was different depending on which staff member you spoke too. For instance we were told on first day that we could swim at 4.45 last session then on day three turned away as this slot reserved for holiday lodge residents. We had paid £500 for two camping pitches so not a cheap week away and information not consistent. Staff were pleasant but didn't always know the details. We booked two double kayaks then told on day that you only have one double !! Didn't spoil holiday in any way just frustrating!

Great family camp site, felt safe for children of all ages and friendly staff. Ideal for the children to fish, and the river was great fun for the canoeing and kayaking. Toilets and showers were ok too. It’s Wheelchair accessible, but not disabled friendly especially the pool. You need to be carried down steps to poolside, and although they do provide disabled toilets and showers at the site you need to be able to use them independently. Anyone needed assistance would definitely struggle.

Lovely lodge with panoramic views. On-site shop good but limited availability. Being able to place an order from shop prior to arrival would be good. Pool fabulous. Pub caters for all. Returning next year 😊

Great facilities and location. Shame about the rude staff on reception as staff elsewhere were very friendly and helpful. Would have been 5 stars if we didn't feel we were an inconvenience every time we went to enquire/book. Apart from that we had a very enjoyable stay.

This is an excellent campsite with beautiful views across the Broads and excellent facilities, including a pub/restaurant and swimming pool, and access to water sports and fishing. The pitches are a little close together but this facilitates getting to know your neighbours! Who tend to be very friendly! We (family of four) have now stayed at the site on three occasions and enjoyed ourselves every time. There are some downsides though: Low level gripes -maintenance and cleaning of showers/toilets is not as good as it could be - some of the soap dispensers were either broken or empty for far too long which is unacceptable really. The quality of customer care is varied across different parts of the site; the bar staff were excellent, the grounds-person who we asked for help was a bit grumpy. But my real (major) gripe is about the plethora of rules, including the introduction of a £100 deposit - potentially payable against breaking a 'no noise after 22:00 rule' - rules which are not policed and enforced. Not good. However, these are issues which can be addressed by the site management. In saying the above, the site is well worth a visit, as, overall, it is very good.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Waveney River Centre, so peaceful and tranquil, a great place to relax and unwind. Our lodge accommodation was spacious and had everything we needed. The children enjoyed the pool and play area. A little out of the way from local towns, but still a great place to explore from.

WRC is a good camping site, spoilt somewhat during my visit by its own success: it had too many people for the land area! We were too "cheek by jowl", and while there is a 10pm "lights out" this is not wholly adhered too or enforced, and the site attracts people with little experience of camping so little idea of how their noise/voice carries. That said it is clean, well maintained, excellent facilities, excellent position, pleasant staff.

Lovely accommodation, great hot tub with beautiful views, helpful staff at the boat hire. Furniture inside the Waveney Inn was shabby and could do with an update.

All good apart from the shower rooms which were too hot, appeared to not even be an extractor fan. Also, management of swimming pool waiting needs attention. My sons were told busy at 10.10 yesterday and to come back at 11am. When they returned at 10.50 told too busy and lots of people waiting!

Had a good stay, food excellent in the pub, facilities always clean although a little dated. A little disappointed that campers can only use the pool till 5pm whereas the pods and chalets could use the pool until later. We hired a pilot boat for the day, it was quite old and very difficult to steer. Two other families on site also hired and ended up coming home early as they struggled so much with the steering also.

A lovely clean lodge which was well equipped. Staff friendly. Pool clean. Boat trip is worth a try. Children enjoyed their stay. Food on site was lovely although a bit pricey. Only negative is that there is only one place to eat unless you drive to different places. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay and would stay here again.

Was disappointed with the lack of attention to the toilet and shower blocks considering the usage. No complaints elsewhere.

Peaceful location and wonderful setting. Waveney Inn food good, wide selection of food and well stocked bar. Boat hire on site was good although pretty expensive. Location of large rubbish bins around the site needs reviewing as far too close to the property we were in which meant in the hot weather the smell was awful in the garden we were in everytime somebody visiting or staying on the site opened the bins. Our 5 bed property was massive and a great open plan space for a large group. Shop at the centre needs to be better stocked as supermarkets are a distance away. Our garden was uncared for and let the property down. Seating in garden poor and very dirty, we had to try and clean it down on arrival. Hot tub needed chemicals each day but this was not done only done on arrival. Overall lovely place to stay and I am sure i will return.

A great campsite with all facilities within easy reach. A generous tent pitch right next to the marina. A well maintained level site, unfortunately the ground was baked so hard with the weather that getting the tent pegs in was a nightmare, standard peg hooks just bent over and only the really heavy duty ones would go in. Disappointed that the on site shop didn’t have spare pegs to sell as had ran out. The toilets and showers were good and cleaned regularly. Swimming pool was great for the kids, a £25 charge for a lost pass was a bit steep though. The pub sold a good selection of drinks , 9 of us had meals and it was generally very good. The fish and chips and burger meals were excellent. The pie and mash should of come with extra gravy though as too dry without it. The steaks and rib meals though were a little too expensive in my opinion. The reception staff were very polite and friendly. Overall a very professional site and would recommend and use again.

Lovely facilities, friendly staff, enjoyed a few nice meals in the Inn. Stayed in the Carlton Penthouse which has everything you need and is very spacious. Just one small point on the cleaning , the penthouse has a very long balcony , this could do with a deep clean, it’s very dusty and covered in birds mess, if I had my grandkids with me I would have had to clean it myself. If that is sorted for our next visit I would give it top marks . Thanks
