Lovely site as usual, great food and drinks on offer at the Waveney inn, and plenty to do for the children including the play area and swimming pool. We had fun launching our canoes into the Waveney! However, this will sadly be our last trip to Waveney River Centre due to the policy of the £100 noise deposit. No other site requires it, so have plenty of choice to go elsewhere. Such a shame.

Waveney river centre is idyllic. It is a perfect escape retreat. Tranquil setting, but in easy reach to go out and about. The lodges were very spacious. However, more effort needs to be made in the cleaning of the lodges. There was food on the floor from the prior clients. Old slippers had been left in the bedroom with used tissues. If more was invested in the cleaning of the lodges, it would have been spot on!

Really enjoyed our stay. Somerleyton lodge excellent. Couple of things though ... 2 better outside chairs would be good. More importantly the bedroom needs two bedside lamps. The spotlights are not conducive to relaxing with a book in bed. Staff excellent especially the reception staff. Location wonderful. Thanks

This is a nice campsite with beautifully clean shower / toilets, a busy marina and a restaurant in site. There's a good swimming pool and play area for families to enjoy. On the negative side we had other campers using our pitch (large and expensive) as a dog toilet. The reception said they would clear it up, which didn't happen only by the end if the week there were 3 piles if disgusting mess. We paid for a large pitch but with only a smallish tent we could easily get both of our small cars on the pitch but instead we were charge an EXTRA £35. Because we didn't rope off our pitch like most other campers we had a constant flow of people walking down and across our ground sheets even when we were eating. Shop is expensive

My son and I stayed in one of the yurts we had a lovely time swimming, fishing and walking. Will definitely be returning before the end of the year.

Lovely place to visit, disappointed with pool facilities, in need of a deep clean especially changing rooms all you can smell is urine!! However showers on site kept very clean considering how busy it is .

Lovely campsite, stayed in one of the pods. Children disappointed they couldn’t get in Eddies secret garden as had been out to get nets. Food in Waveney inn nice, breakfast a little disappointing tho Overall - good stay

We stayed in the escape pods which were lovely but incredibly hot even with the windows open all night. Everything about the site was good but with a little extra it could have been excellent. To put this in context: the food in the restaurant was lovely but the fish and pizza had both been cooked for a few minutes too long....not burnt but well done. The washrooms were spotlessly clean after the cleaner had worked their magic in the morning but by mid afternoon they would have benefited from another clean. The play area was lovely for the children and the park was very quiet and in a lovely area.

Lovely location. Pub food was very good. Although bar service was poor on 18.8.18 (our only visit). Showers were nice and warm, however, lack of ventilation means constant, high humidity in the wet rooms - extremely uncomfortable. Could have been cleaner also.. Pool was absolutely disgusting. Puddles of filthy water everywhere. The hot tub was brown. Pool water murky. Extremely unpleasant pool experience. It would be good to see a map of the site on the web site as then we could have decided where we wanted to pitch our tent/which pitch size to choose. All photos are the same for each pitch, so you don’t get any idea where you’ll be located. It’s odd that you’d have the glamping pods right by the kids park. Not the relaxing experience/atmosphere you’d expect with glamping.

The first time myself and my partner camped alone. We had an amazing time and really loved the place, so much so we booked in with our children for the summer holidays. This time we were a little disappointed. The first day the hot tub was closed, the secret garden was closed due to a wasps nest. We were not forewarned and camped close by where we were regularly bothered by the wasps. We stayed all week and the wasp problem was not dealt with. The toilets this time were also dirty when the camp was less busy. It seemed like the frequency of cleaning had been reduced. In the laundrette one washer and one dryer was broken meaning we didn't get a chance to use the working ones as they were always full. The staff however are so friendly and polite, it's just a shame those small things prevented a 5 this time.

geldeston lodge that we stopped in was amazing and the welcome package was a nice touch would definately reccommend not impressed with the road to the centre and the site was seemingly snided with wasps due to a nest which did spoil it quite a lot we did notice that it was trying to be sorted though.

On the whole a very enjoyable stay but spoilt from a high volume of wasps , which resulted in myself and young 6 year grandson being stung and traumatised, in the four days we were there. Suggest putting up wasp traps as other camps and public places have done on posts or in trees . Should we see this change we would return again Thank you Kind regards

We stayed in a lodge, it was beautiful and very peaceful. The only negative for us was the late check in and very early check out, you loose hours of your little break! Also not provided with enough toilet roll or cleaning products.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in one of the lodges with a hot tub. We was greeted with a nice cake and fresh loaf which was a nice touch. We was pleased that we was the last lodge on the site due to not having as much privacy around the hot tub as we'd like, perhaps having the woven bamboo around the entire hot tub would have been better rather than part of it. The bed was extremely comfortable and warm, our stay was pleasant. Thank you very much.

Great site in a beautiful setting. Tent had to be pitched slightly on a slope but no issue for one night. Would definitely book again!

We stayed in the Hotel Bed & Breakfast, the rooms are spacious & clean. The bathroom is like a wet room which is suitable for disabled and has a free standing shower seat. The Staff are friendly and helpful. We dined in the bar in the Evening the food was very good. We were told that the last orders for food was 8.45pm, but on our second night we were asked to order food by 8.15 as the Chef had been on since 8am and wanted to go home. We were disappointed the Bar shut at 10pm, we were told this was because a few people drinking in the bar was not worth keeping it open for. These are problems that Customer do not need to hear, as we were on Holiday and had paid to stay there we all thought they should keep the Bar open until normal closing time or all customers have gone. These are things that can easily be resolved. The River Centre is a fair few Miles from any other Pub or Town. We all would return for a Holiday & hope these issues have been resolved.
