“Lovely setting. Staff helpful and friendly. Last year had beccles which seemed cleaner and modern. This accommodation lacked some finishing touches ie windows dirty...decor needed touch ups and paintwork knocked on corners. Tv was too high on wall. Did enjoy the stay but these minor things take something away from it. Food good at Inn.”

“We all very much enjoyed our stay at Haddiscoe Lodge. The Lodge itself is beautifully presented with quality furniture and fittings and everything one needs is provided. The Hot Tub was especially popular under the stars. All the staff we came into contact with were extremely professional and very pleasant and the Inn is a nice addition with good food and a very wide choice of drinks. Our only criticism would be that, as one cannot check in until 4.00 p.m., one actually loses the best part of a not-inexpensive day. Perhaps more staff are needed to turn cleaning around more quickly? It appears somewhat weighted in the house's favor, as it were, as one is told in no uncertain terms that one must vacate by 9.30 a.m.”

“Really enjoyed our holiday at the Waveney river center. Very comfortable lodge. Didn’t give 5stars as some areas such as swimming pool could do with a upgrade. But otherwise was fab and would recommend”

“Loved the scenery/setting. Perfect tranquility. Stayed in a pod very suitable for our needs with our collie dog. Happy that our dog could go with us into the Waveney Inn. Staff lovely and very caring. Fish and chips amazing otherwise other food adequate, probably could do with more choice for cold meals or cakes, desserts etc Loved this site and will definitely be coming again.”

“The center was just as described on the web site. All the staff, in all areas were very pleasant and helpfull. The room at the Waverley Inn was large and well equipped, quiet and had super views. When we booked, we didn’t fully understand just how isolated the center actually is, so while we wanted to spend some time boating, we also wanted to explore the surrounding area of Norfolk. This meant the the worry of meeting other cars at night and facing a long reverse in the dark which would have spoilt a night out - in fact this never happened. The food in the the Waverley Inn was really very good but the room lacks atmosphere due to the choice of furniture and decoration, but that is just a personal opinion.”

“Great site but some confusion on arrival as only advised pitch number 3 and after taking some time to set up advised we we in Kingfisher 3 as printed on a sticker on our camp map. Unfortunately not referred to or pointed out by reception staff and so not noted until afterwards!”

“Lovely setting, food at the Waveney inn was superb. Few things wrong with accommodation but were fixed very quickly. Only negative thing was there were lots of hornets (huge) especially at night when we wanted to use the hot tub (although not a lot could be done about this) but did stop us from using hot tub and sitting outside as much as we would have liked to.”

“Well equipped spacious lodge, lovely hot tub. Boat hire was really good, children loved the pool on site. Minor gripes; please provide an electric kettle (as boiling a kettle on the gas job is dangerous) and softer lighting in lodges. Would recommend this holiday for families of all ages.”

“It's a great place to stay the only 2 negative points are access to lodges is not easy for wheelchair users and the checkout time of 9.30am is too early. An 11am checkout time would be more suitable.”

“Great for the family, lots to do and super facilities. Lovely pool, play area, and walks. We hired a boat which was a great way to see the local area. My only reservation would be the pub. While we were there we saw a member of the kitchen staff shouting at a family with 2 small children (one of which was having their birthday), in the middle of the pub. Both children left crying holding the birthday cake unopened. Don't know the details but I am sure it could have been dealt with in a more civil manner. Food was OK, usual pub grub.”

“Nice clean place. We stayed in a yurt .what was a very nice. Only thing did not like was that the tents opposite us was so close. Made getting the car out from the yurt very hard .lovely food in the pub ,and swimming pool was great fun.”

“Lovely Clean Lodge on arrival with little extras of bread, cake and marmalade. Our lodge was positioned nicely and hot tub positioned very private compared to some of the others however the hot tub was a bit of a let down due to the scum floating around and sticking to the sides from previous use making us feel too unclean to use it! Did speak to someone about it and was assured the filters & water had been changed prior to arrival but if that’s the case then their pipes must also need cleaning, apart from this we had a good few days stay here and even hired out a skipper which although was a bit run down still gave us a morning of fun.”

“We really liked this holiday park. All I would say is the cleanliness of lodge could be a bit better as when we moved the coffee table it hadn’t been hoovered/mopped which then made me wonder about other things 🙈 Pub was great on site for quick meals to feed my son after a busy day out & all staff friendly & helpful”

“So many great things to say. From the start, the staff made the booking really easy. Once there everything ran like clockwork. No problems at all. Very clean and well organised. All staff we encountered were incredibly cheery and helpful. The pods were very comfortable. All they missed was a mirror and somewhere to tether the dog. We hired a dayboat which was great. Again no problems. The pub was lovely and we had a very good meal at, what I would consider, a decent price. As with all these types of breaks it is very weather dependant but I really would recommend this site...nearly forgot to mention the toilet/shower ! Definitely the best I have encountered at a campsite”

“Our holiday was extremely comfortable. The lodge was well equipped and clean. We had rented a lodge with disabled facilities as we were taking a relative with mobility issues. One criticism of the wet room was the toilet did not have a raised level seat - it was a good job we took our own! The late check in (4 pm) and early check out 09:30 meant we effectively 'lost a day' which was disappointing. The staff were all very helpful and polite.”
