“The only reason I don't rate Wightlink as very much is their practice of encouraging customers to book early in order to get their best prices, then offer attractive discounts nearer the time of sailing. I could have saved around £40 on my recent crossings if I had booked a few months later!”

“I often travel on the Lymington to Yarmouth ferry as both a foot passenger and occasionally taking the car over. The operational service is generally excellent with good timekeeping. The fascilities at the terminals are particularly good at Lymington but very restricted at Yarmouth due to space constraints. The main downside is the high price of fares particularly for the car ferry.”

“Easy to book/amend ferry travel online. Generally run on time with an efficient loading/unloading service. I haven't rated as VG because I think they are very expensive when not booked as part of a holiday package via a trader, plus the lifts don't always go to all levels such as the pet friendly areas.”

“Everything is fine - apart from the ridiculous pricing system. I travel to the island five or six times a year, would come more often if it didn't cost around £120 just to visit my mother. Yet I know if I was staying in a hotel I would get a much better deal. The ferries are never full midweek, lower the fare and encourage more people to travel, Wightlink might even make more money!”
