“Cost too much as the same ingredients products in the market are far cheaper. They tout a real derm doctor helping you through the journey but it's a pretty standard template they use that isn't as customized as they market. Also, there is no bi-directional communication with the derm doctor. You get only 2 messages to them every so often and you can't reply to any of the answers they give you so need to use your message credits to clarify an answer. Lastly, they cycled me on and off some prescription strength ingredients but you still pay the same subscription price. What I found is that the non-prescription ingredients didn't do anything at all to help remove dark spots (my dark spots got worse during that time) so they are basically just trying to keep you on a subscription even though they should have just stopped during the period to give your skin a rest from the strong prescription ingredients. Lastly, their customer service is horrible and take days to get a response. Also, their portal doesn't work well so their technology is bad too.”
“I had a horrible experience and wish I would have read these reviews before. It is a scam.. I was charged 200 before the trial period and was told the same thing others here have mention, that product had been shipped and bc it’s “personalized” to my skin it could not be returned. They did not care when I mentioned I had a reaction to their products. Horrible customer service!”
“There is no customer service number. I have sent numerous messages to the alleged ‘
“Care Team” and am still going on 2 months without product.
I was so excited to use Agency. Going back to my dermatologist.”
“They allowed someone to access all of my skin care medical records and photos without my permission. NOT SECURE at all. Also took over 2 weeks for customer care to get back to me about my concerns.”
“All the negative reviews are here for a reason. After a few months of using their products, I developed a rather severe rash on my face. I have used retinol creams before, as well as glycolic acid with no issues ever. After using these creams I got a severe case of dermatitis that has gone on for months now. My skin is so irritated that I can’t use ANYTHING on it anymore, not even moisturizer or sunscreen. When I contacted the provider, they just kept trying to push more creams on me, (free of charge) even when I told them that I’d had a rash on my face for over 4 months. I feel like my skin is permanently damaged from using these products. it’s very distressing. The whole system of communicating through their website is inefficient, and you get the feeling that you are speaking to bots and not people. I had to write so many emails to them and they still couldn’t seem to understand that my skin is reacting badly to this product, so please stop sending me any more creams- even if they ar e free! Highly unethical. I have no other option than to cancel my subscription.”
“After my trial, i just didn't like what it was doing to my skin. I tried to cancel and they said it was already shipped and i can't return it. I said ok I'll try it again. I sent an email about 3 weeks ago to cancel because i couldn't do it online. After I tried to log in, it goes straight to the original skin questions. there was no "My Account" to go into.
I never heard back from my email. Then they tried to charge my card again! I sent them another email. No reply. I'm on my 3rd time now. They tried another 3 times to charge my card.
Lack of customer service is a huge part of your business and they do not have it!
Jill
They ask how did you communicate with the company. There was none from them!”
“Customer service, if you can call it that, is horrible. I was charged in late November for my shipment. By mid-December I started asking where it was. They don’t have a phone number. If you need help you have to use their online form. No one ever answers that. I finally contacted PayPal, who contacted them. They told PayPal it was shipped and gave a shipping number for UPS, even though they later said DHL lost it. When I finally figured out how to contact them via text they confirmed shipment was lost, but they wouldn’t give me a refund unless I dropped the dispute with PayPal. They finally made an exception and gave me a refund after PayPal closed the dispute without following through on their side. Agency acted like they were doing me a favor by refunding me for their lost shipment. Don’t do it!”
“It's a scam! I started the free trial for $7.95 shipping and before I even got the product, they took $50 from my account and told me it wasn't them that it was a different company that took the money out! Turns out it wasn't and I never got my money back or the free trial! They just steal your money!”
“Terrible product my face been peeling and been itchy since I started using this product. Thought it was supposed to happend in the beginning but my face gets irritated everytime i used this product.”
“It’s a scam. I didn’t know I was spending $200. I thought it was spent in $24. The products are not great - they’re average at best - and it’s impossible to get the product out of the crappy packaging. They refused to refund my money. Below there’s a multiple-choice question, asking how long it took to get a refund. They haven’t refunded my money — they won’t — their scammers.”
“This is a scam BEWARE. They sent my product before my 30 day trial ended. They charged me and added the sunscreen tint which I did not ask for or want. Customer support has not responded after 4 days.”
“SCAM ALERT. I was interested in the future formula and future formula only. They said they would send a moisturizer and cleanser for free so I figured why not. Little did I know they added those full size products to my next order (which I didn’t even approve, I didn’t even know my next order was being shipped because they didn’t ask me how I liked the future formula) - so now I’m stuck with a $140 charge they won’t respond to when it was supposed to be $40 and they shipped a product out I never even asked about.
Horrible business do NOT use and I really hope they do they right thing and issue me a refund.”
“This product left my skin feeling uncomfortably dry and caused a burning sensation upon application. I experienced significant dryness, which was quite uncomfortable. I would not recommend this product for individuals with sensitive or dry skin.”
“I paid the shipping for the free samples then I ended up getting automatic shipment of full size products for over $100. Customer service is horrible you can’t speak to anyone in the phone. I can’t afford this and basically they said to bad. Beware”
“Don't do it.. products are very small. You are definitely not getting a 2 month supply. I never even got my first box after I paid for it. I had to go back and forth with them a while to get it. They were even hitting me up for a second payment having not received a first one. When I finally got something I was shocked how small it was and it's all very smelly. It smells old.”
“It was unclear that my trial resulted in a $200 per month lotion club. There was no paperwork in my shipment for me to cancel. If there was I would have told them that the lotion made my skin flaky and I saw no benefits. They will not let me return my new unopened box. A company that needs to utilize such shady practices to unload their product needs to avoided.”
“Took a chance. Face has been peeling nonstop for 5 days so I look like I have a disease. Spot treatment only turned my light brown spots into large, ugly red spots that are peeling and crusting over. Stopped treatments immediately after symptoms started but problems continued for many days after. They don't tell you about these effects.”
“DON'T DO IT! I used agency for 7+ months. At first, I thought the increase in my severe breakouts was purging, but my skin only got worse, with deep cystic acne all over my cheeks. I had been on high concentration tretinoin before, so it never crossed my mind that the product was CAUSING the issues.
Despite me reporting worsening acne during my monthly check ins, the "certified specialists" continued to encourage me to use the product and to add benzoyl peroxide to my routine.
I finally saw a real derm who suggested that the additional ingredients or compounded formulations of the Agency Future Formula may be causing my acne, and after stopping use of the product three weeks ago my skin is already looking better.
I now have multiple large scars on my cheeks from the acne caused by Agency products, and when I tried to pursue a full refund due to their negligence, they refused.
Do yourself a favor and see a real dermatologist. Agency Skincare is a scam.”
