Item did not arrive on time. A new estimated time of arrival was given by the customer service staff but still it did not arrive on the the time they specified. It was supposed to be a gift to an October celebrant but anyway, customer service promised to refund the missing item.

The book arrived with sticky gum down the non-spine side. I was disappointed because it was a present for a friend.

My order was divided into two shipments, I only received one shipment. There's no tracking number so I have no idea where it is.

I have complained to you previously about the new very large cardboard boxes that you have started to use to ship books. These cause TWO problems: (1) they do not fit through a standard letterbox, which often means I have to make a special journey to the Royal Mail sorting office to collect my order, and (2) they are far too big for an ordinary sized paperback novel which moves about in the box during shipping causing minor damage, not enough damage to send the book back, but enough to make it look 'used' and unsuitable for a gift.

The books arrived in a poor condition. I would much rather have an option of paying a shipping fee and the books being wrapped up more securely together so that they arrive looking new and not second hand.

I was pleased that my book was delivered on time (I paid for Express Delivery) - Thank you. However, I was disappointed that the top of the front outer cover was slightly ripped. Small, but (for me) very annoying as the item was a gift. It was torn in a place that was instantly noticeable and so really should have been seen by the packer. Other than that I received a satisfactory service. It was my 1st time using this store but unfortunately, I will not be doing so again. My main reason for purchasing from Wordery on this occasion was that there was a detailed description of the book which was extremely helpful. Eg: Other online stores did not put the year of publication etc

I had to wait well beyond the advised delivery date and, when I enquired why, I was given a weak and implausible excuse. I would have received it sooner had I purchased the same book from you via Amazon. Why?

Book is in stock so why a 5-10 working day delivery ?? 3 or 4 days since I placed the order and the status is still "fulfilling" . Very disappointed that it is so slow.

Dear John, Thank you for your review. Our standard delivery option is Royal Mail. We're unable to provide a guaranteed delivery date for this postage type, though Royal Mail do often beat their own delivery estimates, and the postage type doesn't include tracking. No tracking facility so didn't know when to expect delivery. Was not notified of arrival and so they sat at post office. Discovered there by accident

Sadly our hardback book arrived damaged as there was no padding/protection in the box it came in and the outer cover and some of the pages were ripped. We weren’t able to return it as we needed to give the book as a gift and didn’t have time to return it. Quite disappointed after such a promising start.
