Although the items were delivered safely, the overall services was poor. It took 8 days to select items for postage. During that time there was no indication of any delay. I doubt whether I will use them again.

The order was made and charges made. The estimated dispatch and delivery dates given. However that was as far as it went. I initially contacted customer service and was told everything was fine and it would be delivered in a few days. It turned out that an error occurred that they did not detect I had to contact customer service two more times before they admitted a problem and resubmitted the order. Unfortunately by that time I had missed the birthday that the order was for Roll on Christmas!!!

Sadly the ad implied that I was purchasing Transfer Artist Paper but what I received was a book on how to transfer (which I had found out already). The book is lovely but not what I expected so it will be heading back tomorrow

I have used wordery on a number of previous occasions before because the prices are usually comparable, if not cheaper, than other retailers. On this purchase, I bought four books, including a £75 textbook. This was an expense order, and I was very dissatisfied to see how it had been packaged when it arrived. The 3 other books I bought were fairly slim, but the textbook is over 4 centimetres thick. All the items were piled on top of each other in a book wrap cardboard sleeve meant to hold an item much thinner than the textbook alone. Since the item was too big to fit in this packaging, the whole sleeve was aggressively and tactlessly wrapped in sellotape to keep the package together. When the package arrived, the bottom of the textbook binding was smashed in and the hardcover material torn alone the binding edge. By looking at the shipping label, it was evident that this package was prepared and shipped from a third party wholesale bookshop, which wordery appears to be a storefront for. I was very disappointed that such an expense order was so carelessly packaged.

Arrived promptly. Left on our doorstep - luckily we came home soon after and it didn't rain. Solid packaging but insufficient infill: the book was able to move when shaken; the jacket caught against outer board and tore.

wish I had been given an option of waiting for book to become available before my order was cancelled and a refund issued. if the book were going to be available anytime soon (within a few months) I would rather have waited.

I ordered x3 books, one arrived one day, another a few days later & I'm still one missing ? Not ideal to stagger so many deliveries over an amount of time, I haven't been advised of any issues with my last book to arrive or even a dispatch date?

Please see my last two emails to you.I spent a good sum buying gold sovereign books from you recently. Because you misled me by saying you had non left .Then it appears that you did have some more I had to order again in fact three times .I could have reasonably had a discount through you or elsewhere .So this week I wanted a much cheaper book and wrote to see if you could allow me a little discount in respect of the previous expensive deals .Your lady offered a small 10% voucher I had hoped for a little more sympathy!

Unfortunately I was disappointed with the turnaround time of my order as it was placed on 26th October not dispatched until 1st November (6 days later) and I received it on 7th November some 9 days after my order. I don’t feel that this is a competitive timescale as there are many companies that can deliver within 2-3 days who had the goods for the same price.

I bought a short book by Wilkie Collins for a friend’s birthday. I had bought the same book on Amazon but it arrived damaged so I sent it back and thought Wordery might do a better job. To be fair, the book was in great condition. It may even have been freshly printed to order (it was short so this was a possibility). The problem is, the font was only size four or five so the book is nigh on impossible to read without a magnifying glass. The Amazon copy had standard sized font and with hindsight, would have been the better gift for my 67 year old friend. I’m disappointed and would think twice before trusting Wordery with my business in future.

I waited forever for my order but that wasn’t the worst part. I ordered Word Find books for the groups I run and so far out of the 2 we’ve done there are words missing in the actual puzzles. Needless to say it was very embarrassing to use this as a tool at my job and find out there were mistakes in the puzzles. Very unprofessional!

Delivery was 10 days later than the predicted date. Contacted customer service and they kept delaying the date that they were willing to provide a refund.

I didn’t check when I ordered to see how long it would take, and after a couple of weeks I was like “I’ll just order from amazon” and tried to cancel, and they took so long to respond to my cancellation request that it got sent before it got cancelled.

I have used Wordery numerous times and always been happy with the service. Unfortunately on this occasion there was a stock issue with 2 of the books after I had ordered them which was not communicated well to me, resulting in the books arriving several weeks after they were initially promised. Hopefully this is an isolated incident but I would hope for better communication should the issue arise again.
