“Slightly cheaper than Amazon, for some books, and that's about the only thing going for Wordery. Large orders typically turn up one or two items at a time, over the course of weeks. Items showing as in stock invariably turn out to be not in stock. So if you want to save a few quid, and are prepared to wait for up to a month to get your order, then I would recommend using Wordery.”

“I feel in this day and age companies should be able to deliver orders in less than 2 weeks. I was advised at booking it could take this amount of time but never thought it would be the case. I’m likely to order elsewhere next time.”

“Express delivery didn't arrive as expected and extra postage wasn't refunded, despite apology.. Slow and poor, unhelpful response from customer service. Wouldn't cancel order because it would be late, even though status showed book wasn't even in their stock yet. My previous order from them never even arrived and I had to wait a few weeks until they would refund. I will not use them again, there's a consistent arrrogance from the team that isn't replicated in other suppliers.”

“I really like Wordery, but I think your return policy could be updated.. I bought a planner through Wordery and didn’t realize it was the wrong one ( monthly versus weekly) until I opened it. Opening it, despite not writing in it and it being in perfect condition, made it ineligible for exchange or return because the original packaging was broken. I would buy from Amazon in the future versus Wordery just to avoid this problem, even at a slightly higher price point! I would also, as a customer, still buy an item whose packaging was opened if the condition was perfect. Why does anyone care whether the plastic is on something or not?!? For goodness sakes, we should be phasing our plastic in general at this point.”

“I ordered a book as a gift - the 'up to 8 day' delivery time turned into 2 weeks and missed the occasion. When I emailed to query the delay - which I hadn't been informed about - I received a very unhelpful automated response. Good book at a reasonable price when it finally arrived.”

“Ordered 3 books of which 2 arrived promptly, 3rd arrived very late with a torn front cover. Only used Wodery as was looking for an alternative to Amazon, will not be using again or recommending to friends or colleagues.”

“My book came in a large box with next to no packaging/padding to protect the book. The edges on the book were folded. I bought this particular edition specifically and was disappointed by the lack of care when packing the book.”

“The delivery guidelines are misleading. It stated that the item would be delivered within 3-5 days, but what it actually meant was that the item would be posted within 3-5 days, not delivered. Ordered on the Saturday for a party on the Friday night. The item was only posted on the Friday and it didn't arrive until the following Wednesday; one very disappointed little boy. Can't imagine how they'll cope at Christmas.”

“Delivery and dispatch times need to be more accurate, my delivery went over the latest date submitted by wordery, when I contacted them the reply was to wait a further 7days before contacting them again to address the delivery issues.”
