I am sorry to say i was disappointed-my order took more than 2 weeks and did not contain what i wanted when it arrived.

The product was perfect but delivery was terrible over 2 weeks to receive it, so if you are in No rush use them but if you would like it quick use Amazon, or walk into a book shop !

We are very disappointed with the fact that you cancel (after we spend our time ordering) our orders for Croatia with explanation you don't ship to our country.

Placed an order for 3 Erin Hunter Series Books for Warrior Cats. To be fair two paperbacks arrived in time for Christmas but the 3rd Hardback Book hadn't arrived by the 19th Dec and I was travelling down to South Wales to stay with family over the Xmas Holiday. When I returned on the 27th, the hardback book had been deposited on my doorstep! This is totally unnacceptable. I now have a soggy book which is no longer fit purpose! I will not be purchasing from Wordery again.

I was very disappointed with the length of time it took between ordering and receiving the book in question. Although it was slightly cheaper I think in future I would use a bookshop.

You should state very clearly on the website thst next day delivery is NOT AVAILABLE if ordering on weekends

I have used Wordery wuitevoften as I like English books and I came to Canada from England. For the first time my books did not arrive in very good condition. But I do not blame Wordery. They were held up by a strike by Canada Post and arrived slightly damp in a twisted water stained corrugated paper packet. One book had stains on the page margins and the soft cover was stained also. The other identical book just had some slighter staining on the cover which was removed with a soft cloth. Both were intended for Xmas gifts. One I did give away but kept the more damaged one for myself. The actual pages could be read easily but when closed the page margins looked dirty and stained.

Buyer beware.. A crazy and inflexible process. I placed an order for a book at 20:15. Then I realised I could also buy a second book that I wanted - and receive a discount on the second book. So I placed a second order at 20:29, for the original book and the second book. I emailed Wordery at 20:36 asking them to cancel the first order. That was just 21 minutes after placing the first order. I immediately received an automated response acknowledging my email. At 10:06 THE NEXT DAY (yes, the next day) they emailed me to say they couldn't stop the first order being dispatched. They also said, I could return the first order once I had received it, if I wanted to. At 11:15 that day I received an email to say the first order had been dispatched. At 18:03 that day I received an email to say the second order had been dispatched. The second order arrived before the first order. Now I have the problem of returning the first order for which there will no doubt be a charge! You'll go a long way to find a process as inflexible and stupid as this one, with no room for common sense. One very unhappy customer.

Why did it take 3 weeks for one of my items arrive? Why can then arive with the rest

We do have to send some items in separate parcels if they have differing delivery estimates; splitting shipments in this way helps us to improve our dispatch time. Item claimed to be in stock was actually a print on demand item and thus had to chase status and arrived many days later than the already long 6 days estimate!

Once again a book was damaged due to poor packing method. First rule of packing is, pack to the sides. Filler should be in the middle or on top. Our box was lined at the sides with filler, allowing books to mash together and lap over the lipping on top, damaging a cover: a clear risk with your box style so requiring more professional technique than you care to employ.

The service was good but was disappointed with actual book, thought I was buying a restaurant review of Edinburgh but all it was was a list of names and addresses which could be found in the yellow pages, bad value for almost £10.

Contacted to say I was unhappy with book, received confirmation of email, then heard nothing. Have since returned the book, at my cost and again heard nothing so far.

The last parcel I received from you took a month to reach me and because there is no invoice on the parcel or inside it the customs here charged me almost £10 (handling and opening charge to search for an invoice) for a $7 children’s book. I really think an invoice on the outside of parcels is needed otherwise I will have no choice but to stop ordering from Wordery.

Dear Anna, Thank you for you review. We do not send invoices or price details within our parcels. We include a dispatch note within each parcel which details the recipient name, address and order details. If your order is being delivered to a location outside of the UK, we must add a customs slip to the top of the parcel which will indicate the value of the items.
