It just took such a long time to arrive

Ordered 4 books at the same time - got the in 3 parcels. In two parcels/cases the books had had damage inside the envelope due to poor packaging = interest to customers property. 2 of the orders arrived after christmas - due to the fact you use post. And post takes 1-2 extra days to deliver at home the notice my order is collectible from the post office. You also offer no way to follow my order = I would be able to collect my order with the order number without waiting the paper with the order number in it. The reason I ordered from you, was your supposedly quick service - paid 8 euros extra in one book because your webpage informed it was ready to be shipped = your rocket logo. Well that was fake news. Paid extra for nothing. I think you suck.

Unfortunately I was sent a damaged book! The box that it was mailed in was fine, but when I opened it I found the corner of the book was smashed! Can I send it back for a refund? Thanks, Rick Dodderidge

This was the first time I used Wordery. I liked the free shipping and wanted to order from an independent online bookseller. Wordery also had the best price of the book I wanted. I pre-ordered the book a few days before release date and received this message: "Your pre-order items will be dispatched as soon as they are released by the publisher and should be delivered to you 10 working days from publication date." When the book still hadn't shipped a week from the publication date, I contacted Wordery. They said they had trouble with their supplier. It would have been nice to get an email (an automatic email or something) that the item was delayed, without having to contact them myself. The item shipped a week and a half after publication date, and arrived to me 3 weeks after publication date, about 6 working days later than the arrival estimate on the email. If it wouldn't have been a new publication, and if the time estimate would've been correctly stated when I ordered, it wouldn't have bothered me so much. All in all, not a great first impression.

I was informed my item would arrive December 24th as it was a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, it arrived way after Christmas. Big disappointment.

Unhappy that the item wasn't delivered on time. A Christmas present that arrives for the intended recipient after Christmas is not ideal!!

I placed an order for 2 books on 7th December, it being a Xmas present. On 19th December I received an email stating: "We regret to inform you that the item below has unfortunately been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. Please rest assured that your order remains open and we will do our best to dispatch it within the next few days." The books actually arrived on 2nd January and Worderys answer to my complaint was: "I've looked into this for you and I'm sorry to say a glitch in information transfer led to a problem remaining unreported against your order. When you ordered, your item was in stock with our supplier. The supplier of the item has let us down. We've informed our tech team and they are looking into what happened to ensure the issue won't occur in future.". Sounds very much like bull**** and that any orders that weren't on their way by Friday 21st December = tough.

Ordered a book on 9th December for a Christmas present. Was notified on 20th December that delivery would be delayed but no ETA given. It arrived after Christmas. Not impressed as a first time customer.

I ordered a book on 09th December as a Christmas gift, received an email to say that the book was finally on its way the week before Christmas. The book actually arrived after Christmas on 28th December. No communication in advance from Wordery at all to say that Wordery was going to take so long and wasn't going deliver the book in a reasonable time, so no opportunity to buy from somewhere else better. The book was the correct item and in new condition.

I was not very impressed by the very delayed delivery of a very small item. I have let you know this by email, but to date have had no response. You do not disclose telephone number, so communication very difficult at this end. Now wondering what response I might get from this missive?!

Very slow delivery taking 12 days to arrive from date of order. Almost didn’t arrive in time for Christmas which would have been awful as was for a present. Ended up being a much smaller calendar than I expected - A5 not standard A3.

I have previously had good prompt service - inc delivery in cardboard envelop not giant box as one well know company does! but this time - albeit near to Xmas - it was dreadful. Not until after I had completed the order was I told delivery would be 7 working days - what ever that means nowadays. In fact it took 9 days for W to dispatch the book and then 4 days to deliver. I suspect they bought the book in from a 3rd party before dispatching it to me by snail.
