I like the online process of buying items, it is very fast and you receive all the information required to collect your order. The Argos site definitely needs improvement, the pictures are too small, it is not very well structured and the search function doesn't always yield the best results. Collecting the order in store is very easy and hassle free if you use the self service points. Today (Saturday and a busy day) however the lady at the collection point had problems with her till which made a lot of customers wait. Additionally there were no other employees at the cash tills hence people were waiting. There was just another employee who brought to orders...not very organised I must say...

I completed my order online, used the click and collect option. My order was complete in seconds and I received a text message with my order code direct to my mobile. I went to the store in Bootle Strand and waited a few minutes for my purchases at the fast track order point. The staff were very efficient and friendly and I had my items within minutes. Very happy with the service and my purchase and it was so simple and quick!

The person who took my order spoke very clearly and was extremely polite and knew her product extensively . She made other related items available to me but did not push them. Very well done, very pleasurable experience.

Recently made an in store purchase and as usual, was totally satisfied with the shopping experience. I believe that the process has become quicker and more efficient; no long waiting for your item to be ready for collection.

I reserved some headphones online at a discounted price. When I went to collect them the following day the price had gone up significantly. However, they honoured the price I reserved at even though I did not pay until the day - very pleased!

The purchase process is easy. Although, the team isn't synchronised with the screen orders. The screen notifies when an order is ready but it's not.

The items i bought online were easy to find and compare between them, especially as i was so delighted with the price. I had been looking at similar items on ebay and the price could not be matched! The delivery came exactly when it was stated, and when i wanted to return an item i changed my mind on, its was so pleasant! All i needed to do was bring it back to the store and they did the transaction right there. We did have a few issues with the return because i paid through paypal and i was only returning one item out of the 3 so it took some time and a manager to come over and help. The girl i was speaking to was so sweet it really made a difference and in the end they just refunded my money on another card which i didn't think they could do! Very happy with the service i received and the items perchased : ).

Worst Customer Service Experience of my Life. I'm currently living with cancer but dealing with Argos is equally as painful. I was delivered a faulty fridge freezer. 90 minutes on the phone later Argos agreed an exchange. When the new one was delivered it was obviously a customer return as it was scratched, was missing parts, had no protective packaging and was also faulty. The old one was not taken away as Argos had promised. Argos agreed a refund with a manager William Hardie. On the day the fridge freezer was supposed to be picked up Argos didn't turn up! I have spent 16 hours - no exaggeration- on the telephone to try and arrange pick up and a refund. The staff always promise a course of action and then never actually follow through. Christine Cameron was rude, obnoxious, argumentative and frankly shouldn't be dealing with the public. She emailed me in block capitals like an angry 9 year old that she and Argos customer services would no longer help me and she has blocked me from sending her emails! All because she couldn't manage to arrange a refund. I may have understood if I'd have been rude but under the circumstances I've been nothing but patient. I am currently £234.98 out of pocket with 2 faulty fridge freezers one of which is in the dining room. The staff have no understanding of consumer rights. Christine Cameron told me I needed to phone Indesit for a refund. Basic training should cover the obvious fact that as I've paid Argos for the product and when I reported the fault within a day it is their responsibility to refund the customer. I've disputed the transaction on my credit card as frankly I'm at a loss as to what to do. Luckily I have an email from Christine Cameron agreeing a refund and then saying Argos won't deal with me to send to my credit card company. Despite agreeing a refund, because of their incompetence all they've arranged to do is pick up one of the fridge freezers (If they turn up as they didn't last time) and leave me with a faulty one. I'm 47 and this is the worst customer service I have ever received. This would be difficult for any customer but as I'm currently receiving chemotherapy for bowel cancer I really have more important things to deal with. As I'm unwell and can't work I can't afford to be out of pocket and not have a working fridge freezer.
