I have bought from Argos three time regarding household appliances and bedroom furitnutre. I order from Watford Argos from the store manager for a wardrobe to be delivered 29/11/18. We had paid for this expensive wardrobe and paid for deliver as we couldn’t collect it and take it that day. The day it was suppose to get delivered. We had sold our old wardrobe that morning so we had space in the bedroom to put together our new wardrobe. For then the wardrobe to have never turned up... We contacted Argos customer services to find out what the problem was and where the delivery drivers were, to then be told that there was no record of our deliver in there system. Even though we had paid for it and had been told that it was getting delivered on the date we had arranged. If I hadn’t of contacted the customer services line I wouldn’t of know this at all and I would of paid for a wardrobe and not been given the product at all. I’ve now had to wait over 2 weeks for the deliver to be sent back out. So I have got know where to put any of our clothes away. Argos is a joke. I will never be buying any products from there stores again and I have advice all family members and family friends to use other company for products for the future.

Have bought a number of items from Argos but have noticed recently that it’s prices for very basic tech items such as printers, are 25% higher than competitors. Tried to ask why but cannot get a reply. Seems like corporate greed to me.

Brought an item in april. Item has gone wrong. Tried to return it to the store i brought from only to be told that I Had to get in touch with the manufacturer. Exscuse me i brought the item from Argos not the manufacturer so they should deal with it. This has gone against my consumer rights. I didn't even want my money back just a replacement. Got in touch with customer services and as usual you get a young girl reading from a script. DISGUSTING. Definitely will never ever shop there again.

Can only go as low as 1 * otherwise it would be a 0. Ordered a toy on line, within seconds I had received an email and text to confirm order. Minutes later I had received a further email to inform me that the item was ready to collect, backed up with a text to also confirm item ready for collection and would be kept up to the following day (Today 27th December). This morning at 08:54 hours I received a further text reminding me to collect the item before 8pm. At 12:35 hours I received a telephone call from the store (Raleigh Weir) to ask if I still wanted the item, I stated I did and would be there to collect by 2pm. I drove from home (Hornchurch) to the store where I arrived at 13:45 hours to be told "I'm afraid your item is no longer available"

Disgusted, family paid a week ago and no bike there on collection as promised. Let down my grandsons Xmas present, days before Xmas. Expect s formal complaint, disgraceful Argos to let children down at this time of year. Quick to take money out of bank, days of lies and too late to get another. Fuming should be ashamed there is no excuse !

Bought a bicycle from argos on November the 14th of this year from there online store, unboxed it and put it together as instructed but after my first ride on it I found the crank had became loose. Tightened it as best as I could with the limited tools that were supplied and next day went out same problem repeated the process then day after day of same sort of thing. Yesterday it was so bad that I thought something was gonna drop off it so I rang argos today thinking its only been about a month since I bought it so should be no problem to have a replacement bike sent but I was wrong. Got told to ring the supplier even tho I bought the bike from argos?,rang them they seemed to accept my problem then got told I could be sent a replacement part that I would then have to source a local mechanic to install and id have to pay for the privalidge. How can this be right?,i bought it from argos site not some other supplier and then just because its a fixable problem I cant have a replacement even tho the bike was at fault from day one?,i need it to get to work and back and like most people id have thought if I tighten it then the problem would stop which I did but it didn't. What happened to the old days when you bought something its faulty and so you get your money back or an exchange if you do this within a reasonable time period,ok you might argue it was slightly outside the 30 day period but I paid on the 14th November but then had to wait a few days for it to be delivered so its more or less within the time as its only 21st December when Im writing this. Pretty sure I had something along these lines happen to a bike I bought from amazon and had no problems having it exchanged for the same model and so I went and bought a new one today from them and its the last time im gonna buy from argos unless its something I cannot get elsewere. Looking at the recent one star argos reviews it seems im not alone as well. Merry Christmas argos you grinch.

A few days ago I ordered a freezer with delivery booked for the 21st December,I received a phone call to say delivery would be between 9.30 and 1130am. At 1104 I received a call to say the van was outside having trouble getting to my door. On looking out there was no vehicle in site. I rang the number who had contacted me and was cut off twice.I assumed they took it as a fake call. In the end I rang the 0345 number and I think the lady said she was in Stafford and would chase the order up,she was very pleasant; but could only arrange delivery on another date, I cancelled the order There and then, and will use Argos again

Had to return 2 game controllers purchased in error & thus never opened. Would only accept one as one box had a drip of water on it. Box was unopened but shop assistant ripped open & destroyed box thus I am unable to even sell on now! I should have been given the option whether I wanted to continue with the return & give permission for 'my property' to be tampered with. No permission was sought by the assistant nor given by me before she ripped the box open rendering the contents practically worthless. Think very carefully before shopping here as I am not the first person to have been treated so shabbily at this particular store. Will never be back!

Had xmas presents delivered to my adress. I wasnt in at the time and didnt recieve a text or email advising what time by delivery would arrive. The driver delivered my order to the second adress on my account and advised that i order parcels and am never in and the next time this happens i will be "blocked." I rarely order from argos and have been home for every other delivery. I feel like this was bad customer service

Had two corner sofas and after 8 months the back panel broken due to poor design. Argos sent their repair guys out and they ordered the parts, the parts failed to arrive and after 5 months going back and forth, I instructed Argos to just take the sofas away and refund me, Argos we’re happy to do this and booked collection but they failed to collect the sofas on 3 occasions, now I am waiting for the 4th attempt. NEVER BUY FURNITURE FROM ARGOS AS THEY DONT LAST AND ARE MADE OF REALLY BAD QUALITY, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AS THE DONT DO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO.

WALLET STOLEN BY ARGOS DELIVERYMAN Dealing with ARGOS over the last couple of weeks has been a painful experience. I ordered a sofa, which finally arrived (one week late and after numerous phone calls to find out where it was). Then, on the day of delivery, one of the delivery men from ARGOS (whilst in my house) stole my wallet and work I.D. When I noticed the wallet and I.D was missing I rang the delivery crew and asked them to return. They denied taking the wallet and I.D, however agreed to return, but not before stating that I would have to apologise to them for accusing them of theft! When the delivery crew finally returned an hour later I informed them that I would be contacting the police. At this point one of the delivery crew from ARGOS was spotted taking my work I.D out of his pocket and discarding it under a nearby car. When the police arrived the ARGOS delivery truck was searched and my bank cards were found in the drivers cabin of the delivery truck hidden behind one of the seats! The ARGOS delivery man who was seen discarding my work I.D was also searched and found in possession of a crack pipe! The ARGOS delivery man was arrested, but I am still out of pocket. I will have to get my driving licence replaced at a cost, I had an old antique coin in my wallet of sentimental value which is now missing as well as some other forms of I.D and documentation. This has been a massive inconvenience. The following morning was spent cancelling all my cards, ordering replacements and it subsequently caused problems on a day I had planned to take my kids Xmas shopping. The only thing worse than this is the way we have subsequently been treated by ARGOS customer services. They were contacted straight away and we were promised a call back. No call back received. We called the next day and we were told the department we want to speak to don’t work weekends. Called on Monday and told someone would call us back. We didn’t receive any call back. After each and every phone call with ARGOS I feel there is a deliberate policy of making any form of complaint or obtaining any form of reasonable recompence as difficult as possible. Numerous promises of someone calling back, which never materialise and then having to contact them once again and explain the whole situation for the umpteenth time. After finally getting someone from the Investigations Team to look at it, they closed the investigation almost immediately and said there is nothing they could do! They weren’t even able to tell me if the deliveryman still worked for them or not. I remain out of pocket as a result. The sofa had a big stain on it aswell which I can’t get rid of, but I didn’t even bother complaining about that as I knew I wouldn’t get anywhere

Colwyn Bay Store. Got served by a lovely man, however my second collection was someone else's (I was collecting on their behalf). A lady came out with things and shouted over to me "Fast Track?" I shrugged as I wasn't sure and didn't want to take someone's else's things! The lovely man came with more things and said they were mine, I replied "thanks and sorry I didn't know, as I said it's not my order". The woman continued to gossip round the corner to her colleagues. RUDE! She needs some customer service lessons.. I work in Boots in the same shopping centre and she must have recgonised my uniform. To bad she treated me like dirt! I know Blake from the Colwyn Bay Store, he's an absolute credit to Argos and so lovely. It's a shame not everyone there is like him!!!!
