Appalling, cynical service and quality. I ordered six children's gifts online and every box but one arrived badly damaged, with one old and dirty. Collection was from a local Sainsburys: as soon as the bar code is scanned the item is considered delivered and so although they and I could see that the items had been delivered badly damaged they were now my responsibility. Argos tell me that although the fault is theirs (x5) the onus is now on me to take the items to a local store to exchange. I shopped online to save time. Lesson learned. I normally order from Debenhams or John Lewis and I won't make the same mistake of going to Argos again.

Terrible, they lie to you about your rights saying after 28 days you cannot get repair or refund even though law states you have up to 6 years with a washing machine - sold me a faulty washing machine and they refuse to look at evidence as 6 months have passed plus they say they will respond to a third party but don't - filthy liars

Ordered a fridge/freezer and was offered the following Tues/Wed/Thursday as delivery dates, so chose Wed. Had a phonecall a few days later to say delivery would be about 2 weeks. Complained about this and was told they could deliver on Monday between 2 and 6. Even earlier. However they rang at 11.30 to say they were early as could not wait until 2 oclock as we had arranged. Ended up cancelling the order.SHOCKING SERVICE

I ordered a gift set with same-day delivery as I needed a gift for somebody straight away I waited in or day as it was due to be delivered between 2 and 6 p.m. however nothing I had to ring customer services to be told they would be redelivered tomorrow, previously when I had contacted customer services I was giving four different reasons as to why and reassured that it was on its way. I am annoyed that I wasn't even told that it wasn't coming or sent an email or a text

Rubbish service, false advertisement in 3 for 2, even still showing the products on 3 for 2 even tho been told it had been sorted so obviously trying to get people to buy these items still.

To Susan Foy, My case is looking like going to the ombudsman and I have already report this to trading standards and they are looking into it. As mentioned I have lost money for waiting in all day for the sofa on the 6th and losing a days pay, you confirmed I will be receiving the sofa on the 7th so I had another day off also more days off on the 8th and the 9th when it was also booked in for, I have spoke to numinous people since and just now I was told you never even booked it in for the 7th! So why are you confirming the 7th with me when you know I lost a days works in the 6th and you are confirming without even booking in in! What sort of person are you? The treatment by you and all the incompetent people keeping me waiting for ages then cutting me off, everyone I have had to speak to at Argos have been very unprofessional. I have never been treating so bad by another other company. I will be seeking compensation and imagine will be going to court, why is it not possible that any of you can do your job? Yours sincerely Ex Customer/very unhappy individual

Purchased the black glass tables today. Very happy with product. However I'm not sure who and why decided to put an a5 safety sticker across the top of the glass that is difficult to remove and I'm reluctant to scrape off as would scratch the glass!! Surely common sense tells you to put this out of view but insight as you assemble the item. I'm currently sat here soaking the sticker with warm soapy water, something which could have been avoided if the manufacturer had of used the intelligence they were born with!!!!

Having ordered an item, I had to chase up my "£10 off next purchase" code. Eventually it came via email and I used it online to purchase something however a few hours later I found the same item a lot cheaper elsewhere to cancelled my order before collecting. I then attempted to order something else using the same voucher however it wouldn't let me. I rang customer services who advised me that there was nothing that could be done and the £10 I could have saved had gone and I was not entitled to anything. I asked if the6 could just send me another code but they declined, most unhelpful and I will be taking my custom elsewhere in future as that was the only incentive to use Argos in the first place.

Last time ever I'm buying anything from Argos. having placed an order, where a simple change of delivery address due to system fault on their part turned into a nightmare. No TV, no fridge and now no money until the refund is processed, IF IT IS PROCESSED IN TIME.

shocking customer service, adviser quoted me a discount code for 10% off a unit which I went to use literally 10mins after she gave me it but it wouldn't work, went back on live chat to advise and they said I was misinformed and they will not honour it, disgusting service, dont offer something you cannot honour, if your staff mess up you should sort it not palm it off

Awful customer service at MK Grafton Gate store today. Refused to accept that an electrical item purchased only a few days ago only worked intermittently and was therefore faulty. The very arrogant manager made no attempt to listen to what I was saying. His response to my concern that the heater might present a fire risk to the elderly and immobile relative it was purchased for: "I will not be responsible for that, the manufacturer will be". Shockingly bad customer service. I will never shop with Argos again. Truly awful.

I was given a used laptop, when I switched it on it didn’t go through any set up, just went straight to the desktop with icons on the desktop, a message also popped up saying that antivirus needed renewing. Laptop went back but argos tunstal store didn’t have a laptop replacement, I had to go festival park to collect from that store with no apology for giving me a used laptop and for having to bring it back and then travel to another store. This store is not run very well, it seems to be low on resource, very slow service, even had to wait 10 minutes after my number was called, the boss was to busy on his mobile whilst the other staff were running around like headless chickens. What’s happened to argos, used to be a nice store to shop at

Unfortunately I have had to terminate my long [over 20 years] shopping at Argos. I wanted them to take my date of birth off my details & give me a pass word or use some other form of ID, Example the last 3 or 4 digits on my bank account details [they obviously know them I have spent thousands of ponds over the years. But recently my identity has been compromised. My current account card went missing at Argos, that was why I wanted my date of birth removing. But Argos refused to remove my date of birth? Or give me any other form of ID. However they did ask me for a copy of my driving licence, Passport, Birth certificate [would that not just give Argos even more details?] In addition to this everyone seems to have my details now, even my phone number, what is going on with all this I identity fraud. At the end of the day All I wanted was to take my D.O.B. of their database [mainly so it could not be passed on or sold on]. After all it is my D.O.B.
